Please can I send the passports to Dubai using dhl or do I have to use Aramex to and fro?
lopside12:

Doubt if you are a middle east resident else you would have known aramex cos its an everyday name.
Option 1: Mail them to change your visa office to Accra
2. Call aramex Nigeria or UAE and schedule for a pickup. You will spend somewhere between 50-70K in total. They send your passport to the embassy and bring it back when its ready.

Good luck

Thank you so much 40manlappy.

I am actually resident in Nigeria and thats why I was surprised my file was sent to Dubai instead of Ghana.

40manlappy:
@JESUSisable Congratulations! cheesy

Just follow the instructions in the mail "to the letter". IRCC gives different instructions to residents of different countries. Apparently, you are a resident of UAE or ME. Cheers!

LONG POST ALERT PLS!
good morning efam, God is faithful and awesome. I will do a proper timeline and thanksgiving post when you confirm it is what I think it is. You guys have been too awesome. kiss

Woke up to this mail this morning. please is this PPR mail?

- Am I to send it to Dubai office? I have never really seen any applicant on this platform that was required to send passports to Dubai.

- Should I use a prepaid envelope as requested by them, cos I only see people's request is to send to Ghana VO and they use a one way dhl package. I don't know which one is ARAMEX courier mail? Can I use dhl to send the mail from here? (I have highlighted this part of the letter in red)

- I also see in the mail that this Dubai visa office charges service fee for PASSPORT TRANSMISSION SERVICE (saw this description from their website United Arab Emirates: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/uae/). Have you heard of this before? How do I go about payment please? (I have highlighted this part of the letter in red)

WE ARE READY TO ISSUE YOUR VISA(S).

Please review your mailing address above and advise us of any updates.

Dear xxxxx,

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email to: abdbiimmigration@international.gc.ca with details concerning your situation.

STEP 1: Change in Circumstances:

Should any of the following circumstances apply to you or any accompanying family member, you must inform this office immediately:

· Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, legal separation, annulment or death of spouse;

· Change in family composition, for example due to adoption or birth of a child, including a child born to your accompanying dependent child,

· Death of principal applicant, spouse, accompanying children, or death of sponsoring relative;

· Change in health;

· You or any of your accompanying family members being charged or convicted of a criminal offence

· Change in contact information: mailing address, e-mail address, or telephone number.

Your failure to inform CIC of any of these changes may result in the cancellation of your permanent resident visa and may render you and your accompanying family members inadmissible to Canada.

Your failure to declare all of your family members, accompanying or not, will permanently exclude them from sponsorship under the Family Class regulations.

STEP 2: Passport Requirements – Determine if you need to submit your passport(s)

· Determine whether you require a visa to enter Canada at www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/visit/visas.asp

· Please note that if you or your accompanying family members are permanent residents of the U.S.A and a holder of a passport which requires a visa to enter Canada, you are still required to submit your passport(s).

If you require a visa to enter Canada, then submit your passport(s):

· Please provide your passport or travel document and a passport or travel document for each accompanying family member. An accompanying family member must have his or her own passport or travel document.

· There must be at least two blank pages in your passport(s).

· Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military passports or travel documents.

· All passports must be intact and not worn, torn or otherwise damaged; the laminate on the bio-data page must be securely attached. Each page must be securely affixed to the passport; there cannot be any loose pages.

· Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 12 months from the date of this letter.

If you do not require a visa to enter Canada:

· Please submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport for you and one for each accompanying family member.

· Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 12 months from the date of this letter.

· Please note that you cannot use a Diplomatic, Official or Military passport to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident of Canada. You must be in possession of an ordinary passport.

STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS

You must submit together:

1. One copy of this letter.

2. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.

3. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member respecting precise specifications that can be found at:

www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS

All required documents must be submitted in one single package. There are 3 ways to submit your passport(s).

OPTION

You must include a fully completed Aramex airway bill or a self-addressed C4 or C5 envelope. These must include your complete name, physical address (no PO Box), and phone number (country code + area code + phone number). If you do not write your address CLEARLY on your return airway bill, your passport(s) may be lost in transit.

Your passport(s) will be returned to you by Aramex courier at your expense.

Passports are very valuable and we want to ensure that they are returned to you safely. It is in your best interest to complete the airway bill or return envelope yourself, if applicable.

NOTE: The Embassy’s Immigration Section is no longer open to the public. Therefore, you cannot drop-off your passport(s) in person at the Embassy.

We are looking forward to receiving your package within 30 days to conclude your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Important information after you arrive in Canada:

Permanent residents (PRs) of Canada must carry and present a valid PR card or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a flight to Canada, or travelling to Canada on any other commercial carrier. If you do not have a PR card, you need to apply for a PRTD, or you may not be able to board your flight, train, bus or boat to Canada.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/travel-document/index.asp

It is your responsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid when you return from travel outside Canada, and to apply for a new PR card when your current card expires. If your PR card expires, it does not mean you have lost permanent resident status.

Yes bro. My contact person lives in Toronto. I will just request her phone number.

Thanks again

Muchaio:

Hi,
Yes you can edit your details. I did that too. I have since sent the statement of completion to CPAO and it has been acknowledged so I don't think it's a problem. I used my friend's address and phone number for the application. I hope your contact person is in Ontario. The HST amounts to 13% I think. So just factor in an additional 13% on the 495cad.

Hi Muchaio,

I also got the request to pay with certified cheque but I wish to pay with my dollar card. I have registered already with my Nigerian address. Can I edit my profile by removing my Nigerian address and adding my cousin's canadian address? Do I also have to fill in her Canadian phone number instead of my Nigerian cell number under contact information? I hope using the Canadian address will not pose a problem for me later on?

Did you use your Canadian address for both contact address and billing address?

How much were you charged in dollars with the inclusion of GST & HST?

Kindly advise. Thanks

Muchaio:

I also had the request to send certified cheque for the Tax & Law course. Was however able to bypass and pay with my card by using a Canadian address to register. Had to pay GST & HST tho but I was able to register and conclude within 2 days.

-Yes, I was specifically requested to fill a Schedule A form.
-Since you are not asked to, I don't see why you should. Perhaps you could do what they asked first and then as an addition fill a Schedule A form.

Thanks@cochtrane . I submitted just the LOE yesterday and got an update mail. My medicals also changed to pass. Thanks again

Thank you so much @cochtrane , u are a life-saver. God bless your good heart.

Please just a quick question.

- Where you specifically asked to fill a SCHEDULE A form? This is because I was not asked to.

- Do you advice I fill a SCHEDULE A form in the light of the fact that I was asked to give details about residency, occupation/studies, travel, e.t.c?

cochtrane:

I'm not sure there's any specific way for you to do this, as long as they haven't referreda specific form (like IMM5669, e.g.). So, you could use the placeholder. Type out a LOE and make a table that looks like that under personal history in the form here (https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5669e.pdf). Then make sure to sign at the end of it.

They were most likely referring to your spouse still, it's just the language.

Fill in exactly the things he was doing at that time period. If you had done so earlier and you were detailed, just repeat the same thing. I was also requested to resupply some of the info I had supplied. All I did was fill in the exact same things.

URGENT PLSS
Hi my efam, congrats to all ITA recepients. Pls my people I need urgent responses. I woke up this morning to this ADR mail below from CIC asking for info about my spouse. I filled all this info when I was filling his personal history because I am the principal applicant, but am being requested to provide these details again; My questions are-

1) Am I meant to fill these details in an LOE? This is because an LOE placeholder titled 'Replacement Needed' appeared in my Optional Documents section.

2)The portion of the mail I highlighted red says "IF YOU WERE NOT WORKING"! Does this refer to me or my spouse and am i required to provide this info for my self also?

3)My spouse has been working in his current job from AUG 2010- till date, while he was unemployed from 2009 July-2010 July. This was what I filled in my application. My question is, is there other way CIC wants me to breakdown this information? He has no travel history.

This letter is about your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue the
review of your application we require that you provide us with detailed information for your spouse for the time periods between 2010/07/01 until 2012/02/28 and 2015/05/01
until 2018/01/29. Please provide us with residency, occupation/studies, travels, etc. for the
period mentioned. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for
example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc). If you were studying,
please provide the location of studies, time period when you took the course. If you participated
in a distance education program/online studies, please indicate the name of the institution, the
location where course was taken, etc. You must identify your activities during the specified
period detailing day, month and year for each entry.
Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account

Thanks elders

My younger sis timeline as it might be useful to some people :

AOR - Sept 27th
Medical Passed - Oct 14th
NA1 - Oct 14th
IP1 - Oct 14th
NA2 - Oct 16th
Received the "You are now a candidate for Canada" letter - Nov 22nd
Transferred to LVO - Nov 23rd
Request for GCMS - Jan 12th
GCMS note received - Jan 26th (GCMS note showed that nothing was done on her application from 23rd of Nov till 26th Jan, only criminality and medicals were passed, eligibility and security were yet to be done)
IP2 - Jan 26th
PPR - Feb 1st.

No ADR was asked.

For her POF, she included gift deed (for small percentage of the total amount), letter from work place cooperative and copy of cheque that she received from the cooperative, 6 months bank statements, FD certificate and she wrote a detailed letter of explanation and a table explaining her POF.

For employment reference, she included letter from her work place and 3 payslips.

She was working while she was doing her MSc. full time. The visa officer did not have any issue with that.

She was rejected a UK visitor visa once. She did not complete Schedule A. She just put details of the visa refusal.

These are the few things we were concerned about. All other things were pretty straightforward.

Congrats Dupyshoo and congrats to your sister...may the rain of PPR fall on us all in Jesus name.AMEN
Quick advise to the house,

If your score is not that great, I.e. below 440 and your spouse hasn't yet sat for IELTS, I'll recommend you encourage them to give IELTS a shot to improve your score. There are two benefits to this:

1) you stand to gain 20 points from them. Giving you a fighting chance for ITA.
2) saves you money in future when it's time to apply for citizenship as proof of English/French language test is one of the requirements for Canadian citizenship. Good thing is they'll even accept the results even if it has expired. As long as you get above CLB 4/4.5.

So in a way you are winning all round and saving for the future, who know...maybe the price for IELTS then will be $500 as against the N68K you can pay now grin

If you're single and your CRS is below 440 and you have maxed out IELTS, look in your neighborhood for a local MFM to join. grin

Just kidding....

1. I think you're good. Is 500,000 a lump sum when you look through your account transactions? An LOE and the invoice should suffice. Yes. On my savings account, 500k is lump. My hubby transferred 600k to me on that same day and I transferred 1m to my company account. He transfers between 100k-300k at times.

2. If you've gotten a Canadian TRV before its the 8 or 10 digits at the bottom of your visa if not leave it blank.
UCI is different from UMI.

1. I have a company and one of my customers paid N500k into my savings account this January which I transferred to my company account upon receipt of the said sum. I have a control copy invoice for this transaction. I would like to know if I should get the invoice notarized as evidence of d lump payment into my account? I only usually get lump sum payments from my husband into my savings account.

2. In the field for Immigration and citizenship when filling eAPR, i came across request for UCI number. Do I fill in the UMI number on our eMedical form?

Congrats to all those who have received PPR this month and God bless all the hopefuls.
