But the position of Graduate Trainee will still be 24 after 2 years of strike and another one year waiting to go for nysc, plus one year of nysc. Technically, your certificate is useless even if you graduate with first class. Because, you will be 27 after nysc if your study five years course. One of our problems in this country is the age restriction in everything. |

Squirrel1: Not your money. Guess you don't know Eniola Aluko played for Chelsea FC and England national team scored 33 goals in 102 games for England. She was awarded Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her contribution to football in England. She bought the club with her money and not your money. How I stopped this madness from this fraudulent practices by commercial banks is requesting to stop sending sms alert to you. In my case, it was GTB. On that fateful Sunday afternoon, I was debited 3 thousands plus for sms alert. I quickly entered online banking, deactivated sms alert. I only received email from any transaction I made, or better still you can verifying your transactions via App. Overall, stop using sms alert , get notifications via your email with zero cost. |

Good job guys! The problem with our team is the midfield. No chances created, no good marking. Moreover, we got too relax in 2nd half as if we were winning by 4 goals. Anyways, you guys did your best. |

Emotions and politics apart, the general election of 2023 is the best since democracy returns in 1999. Although, there might be pockets of irregularities and violence in some polling units but that cannot overwhelmed the statistics of the election. Sitting governors losing senatorial sits, party chairmen losing their polling units, less than 20% of senators could be return, so called Jagaban losing his strong states of Lagos and Osun to different oppositions. With the popularity of Buhari in his state, the APC lose Kastina, and most APC states in Northwest cannot win their states for their party. These facts are enough to tell you that the election is fair to some extent, and there were no rigging as people are claiming on social media. 22 Likes 4 Shares |

I had similar experience years ago. Someone was using that particular number before, maybe he/she lost the sim and waited for more than 3 months before retrieving it. During that period, mtn reproduced the same line, and I guess that is what you are using. You and someone are using the same line. When you recharge, the airtime displayed at both ends, anyone who is faster uses the airtime. That's why your balance is empty when you recharge without using it. The only solution is to go get another line, if not, you will be doing father Xmas for the person. |

Career / Re: Second Class Upper At 26 Years of age, any hope securing a graduate trainee job. by Jesusmylord(m): 1:25pm On Jun 06, 2023 |
You did the right course especially when you put the Nigerian labour market into consideration. It's easier to get a job if you are an accounting graduate and it’s going to be a plus for you if you have ICAN before you finished your NYSC. To answer your question, Do I stand a chance of securing a graduate trainee position in a top multinational organization requesting for 2.1 and above within the age bracket of 26 and below post-NYSC, Given that after my service I will be 27? Multinational organization, 27 years after NYSC, and 2:1. Yes, PWC will be your best bet. The following are my guides for you: 1. Endeavour that your PPA during the NYSC is a place where you have time for yourself. The best places could be Ministries and Secretariats (LGA, State, or Federal). 2. Draw a realistic timetable for your ICAN exam and aptitude Test. Maybe 3 days for ICAN and 2 days for aptitude test preparation/practice in a week. PWC uses SHL format, I can send you pdf files if you don’t mind. Also, you need to practice situational judgment questions. 3. Work on your presentation skills and develop your skills on how to work in a team. You will need these skills during an assessment centre after you scale through the stage of the aptitude test. 4. Start what I said above early into your service year. The quality of your life you will get after NYSC is directly proportional to the time you invested preparing during the NYSC. 5. NYSC is not time to play away your time but it's an avenue to strategies how your future will be. Please mingle well with people, and socialize, but don't let anything take away your 5 days of studying for your ICAN and aptitude test from you. 6. Save some portion of your NYSC allowance, I believe by the 9th month you should be able to pay for the ICAN exam yourself. 7. Don't underestimate anyone during the service year. Lest of people you don't expect might be the ones to give you the link to climb the ladder to the top. 8. Be prayerful. Nothing is certain in this life. Apart from your sound academic performance, and the skills your developed, you need a bit of grace (luck) to achieve your goals and dreams. 9. Finally, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy (Romans 9:16).” Again, pray for grace and mercy. You need them in your journey in life. I wish you the best in the remaining time of your undergraduate studies, service year, and journey in life. 4 Likes |

Nah today you just know Nigerians. We can celebrate mediocrity. All nah eye service. If they can celebrate a past governor as saviour, who governed for 8 years and his records was 13 months of doctor strike, more than 8 months of state university closed up, no election of LGA for 8 years ( despite court ruling twice to conduct the election), and other embezzlement. Nigerians can celebrate lucifer in the detriment of Jesus miracles. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Why Lagos Is Important To The Yorubas by Jesusmylord(m): 10:42pm On Mar 20, 2023 |
Apart from being the centre of commerce and industry of Nigeria, Lagos is a place where the yorubas negotiate for relevance in politics in Nigeria. Since the return of democracy in 1999, Lagos dictates the voting pattern of yorubas in presidential elections. That is the reason every presidential candidates go to Lagos to seek alliance with the yorubas. Jonathan did this, thought he did not fulfilled his promises he made to the yorubas. Buhari also seek for yorubas votes via Lagos in 2015. If Yorubas lose Lagos to non-yoruba candidate, she will equally lose his political relevance in political space in Nigeria. That is why in the just concluded gubernatorial election in Lagos not only Lagosians but all yorubas stood with Sanwo-Olu. You can't blame them, they are only protecting their ancestral land and preserving their political relevance in Nigeria politics. 5 Likes 1 Share |
