Good day house, my friend planted tomato in a net house, he bought the nursery from some israelites. He have started harvesting but he is having a problem is that the plant in some ridges will just turn brownish and die off. Please what should he do? Thanks

Tomato is a very delicate crop that requires maximum care and management.
It has several diseases and pests that needs to be prevented from onset.
I am sorry about your friend lost but one needs to learn the basic before venturing.

@ Jethro2: thanks ma, me! I don't known these when my boss who was into fish stop and saying I wanted to plant 33,000 pieces of tomatoes. I don't know who teaches him how to nurse it bt he was able to do it well. I leave d place at that time, thinking of how to get a place to start mine if possible.
while in those pictures u upload, it show u re already mature in planting tomatoes, pple dt are planning to plant tomatoes in d raining season should know dt tomatoes love waters bt when u crop is touching d ground with water, make it spoil quickly,
In her pix, they make use of Lyon nt to touch d ground n rope 4 it to b vertical upright.

Pls, i know there is google, but the question i asked is perculiar to Nigeria. There are things google wont tell you and for your information, i dont have the technical know-how. I wish to learn and experience they say is the best teacher. Nigeria is diversifying and there are opportunities in farming. Moreso, i have about two acres wasting. Will google tell me the market in Nigeria? Please, farmers in the house, i wish to tap from your knowledge and experience.

Please get practical training from practising farmers. There a lot you can not learn online. Agriculture is practical. This will prevent you from using your hard earned money for trial and error.

Most people has lost their hard earned money in agriculture because they follow this type of cheap write ups.
I merely suggest you need to up your game in tomato planting. I have been a victim and I have learnt expensively.
I don't give a damn, I will always speak out when I see misleading post.
I see you are just gambling with tomato farm. There is nothing bad in that but get it right before embarking on training.
"Imagining you saying people should do tomato during rainy season".
Even novice farmers knows tomato abhor water.
There are lot of such in your write up.
I am not about pointing fingers but I am about being truthful.

Nairaland is to share ideas. True. But must you share ideas to mislead other people?
Not everyone can gamble away their money on the farm. Offcourse you planted tomato but how successful are you with it?
What I advise is you need to up your practical knowledge before you can train others.
