You are highly welcome.
Perfectly said and I quote "Experience is the best teacher"
Please take your time in doing a lot of research in your area before sowing a single seed.
Rural farmers could be a very big source of information and training.
Wishing you success all the way.

Finally I made it to the very last page of a thread on Nairaland. Beautiful piece @jethro2, so much detail and in-depth breakdown of your real life experience. Thank you once again for reiterating the fact that EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER and all these one day seminars and skill acquisition workshops are just scams. There's no way one can learn a skill in one day and start a business just like that. Many thanks to all you wonderful Nairalanders for all the love you show here by sharing. @Choiceman, @omode2, @Pavore9, @joive, @securi, @kalusam, @jeffnyson @soloxam, @greenmatorganic and everyone else who contributed to this thread, y'all have no clue how much you've inspired a peasant a communal farmer like myself. God bless you madam @jethro2 and everybody that made this thread worth my vigil...i read through the night page by page "sometimes I go back to read a page again when some issues reoccur". With the kind of access I have to lands at locations nearer to Lagos than Saki I take this up as a challenge!!! But be sure I'll be starting in my small 2plot yard where I live...

Can you please make arrangement to collect it in Lagos.

That will depend on your pump head/ pump capacity. A trial with one or two adjustments here and there will give you result. Landing cost will determine. But between 50/60 per piece will do the trick.
I called to ask for cost but no response.
Could you please state the cost

Fruits and vegetable farmers have not been accessing
standard vegetable market because of some production
and marketing factors.
For producer to access market, certain steps must be
taken among which are:
1 Producing good and quality produce to attract premium
price
2 Be able to supply the market consistently throughout the
year
3 Uniformity in \the quality of produce from one location
to the other.
4 Implementing cost effective management to beat down
the price of produce
5 Deepening and upscaling ones product to stand out
6. Getting the right price at the right market for fresh
fruits and vegetables within and outside the country
Intending farmers and agribusiness personel will be
exposed to what it takes to surmount the above
mentioned status in order to access market at the
proposed training being organized by
Entrepreneur Youth Cooperative, AFGEAN in partnership
with
Agricultural Fresh Growers Producers Exporters
Association of Nigeria (AFGEAN) and IFDC 2SCALE
Practical aspect will involve but not limited to
. From Nursery to market of various vegetables e.g
Tomatoes, Cucumber. Green Pepper etc
. Maximizing Agribusiness Ventures.
. Access to fresh vegetable market when quality and
standard is met
. All year round supply of fresh fruits and vegetables.
. Information on Fresh Fruits and Vegetable export market
Side attachment:

How to treat tomato diseases
1. Note symptoms.
Diagnose your tomato plant’s problem by comparing its
symptoms with descriptions of specific diseases.
2. Treat according to recommendation for the specific
disease.
Ways to prevent tomato diseases
Take steps to keep diseases away or reduce their severity.
1. Rotate crops
Many bacteria, fungi, and viruses can survive years in the
soil. Reduce incidence when you plant tomatoes no more
than once every three years in the same spot. Avoid
planting other Solanaceous crops (members of the same
family as tomatoes, including potato, pepper, and eggplant)
in the same area, too – they are susceptible to many of the
same diseases as tomatoes.
2. Improve soil
Before planting, add a good amount of compost or organic
matter to the home garden to improve the soil. Extra
nutrients and aeration grow stronger plants which can resist
infection.
3. Plant disease-resistant tomato varieties
Many hybrid tomato varieties are bred specifically to resist
particular diseases. Plant disease-resistant varieties to have
the healthiest crop possible.
Tomato disease-resistant codes are listed on seed or
seedling packets in capital letters. They include:
V = Verticillium Wilt
F = Fusarium Wilt
N = Nematodes
A = Alternaria
T = Tobacco Mosaic Virus
St = Stemphylium (Gray Leaf Spot)
TSWV = Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus
3. Don’t under-water or over-water
Keep tomatoes on a regular watering schedule to help them
stay healthy and strong.
Avoid over-watering which can lead to consistently wet
conditions – the perfect environment for many bacteria,
fungi, and viruses to multiply.
4. Destroy infected plants
If you allow infected plants to over-winter in the garden or if
you throw them on the compost pile, there’s a good chance
disease will spread to other plants or multiply in the soil.
Throw away or burn infected plants.

How to Identify, Treat, and Prevent Tomato Diseases Tomatoes are fun to grow, but they are susceptible to many infections. Tomato diseases are caused by bacteria, fungi, and viruses. They spread through the soil, water supply, air, infected tools, animals, and gardeners. Fortunately most are usually not fatal. The key is to identify a disease early so you can treat it before it overtakes the plant and then manage symptoms successfully. Take these preemptive steps to handling diseases. Anticipate. Find out about tomato diseases common to your area. Talk with local nursery staff and ask for information from representatives at your region’s extension service. If tomatoes in your area are prone to a certain disease, plant resistant varieties. Monitor. Check your plants each day for symptoms. Identify. Study symptoms and treat diseases quickly so your plants can recover and flourish.
