Fruits and vegetable are highly perishable goods. We don't have the storage facility for it in Nigeria yet. I don't have a specific market yet. I have not planted but I am working on a yet to materialise market.
Farmers are continuously at the mercy of the buyers when selling their farm produce. Market is very essential before planting

Please do your marketing very well before planting. When i say market i meant real market and not one person or company.

Murano F2 and pointsett varieties at harvest today. Thee longer cucumber is murano. The advantage of Murano F2 over the other variety is that it matures at five and a half weeks while the other varieties matured at 7 weeks. Murano also produce bigger cucumber than pointsett and marketer. The disadvantage is that Murano is quite expensive.

Sorry to digress a little,which insecticide should i use for bee that is sucking fluid from.the leaf of my plantain?
do u apply the insecticide on the leaf? i alreay have a sprayer dt i used to spray the herbicide.
I noticed an insect dt looks like bee scuks the fluid of my plaintain and after making some repeated movements on the leaf, the green colour in the area it made the movement changes to brown. ive noticed the coloratn in the leaf, but finally saw its an insect (likely to be a bee).that causes

It cant be bees. Bees don't destroy crops. Bees are beneficial to farms because they pollinate flowers that produces fruits.
I will advise you post your concern on some of the plantain threads in order to get assistance on time.

Can you invest in a starch processing plant that utilizes cassava? Starch is an highly demanded commodity in manufacturing companies, breweries and all sorts. 99% of farmers in Nigeria plant large hectares of cassava yearly. The total no of starch processing factory in the country is not up to 20 sites. Starch are imported on daily basis. My village is willing to provide free land to support any would be investor for cassava utilisation in our local government. Farmers from the surrounding 10 LGA in the state will be supplying the cassava for the processing

But is it harmful to the leaves, does the fertilizer affect d leaves when sprayed on top of d plants.

Liquid fertilizer is not harmful to the leaf.

Its usually mixed with some quantity of water.
For instance, the recommendation for GNLD Pro grow that we use is 16 litre water + 3 Spoonful of the liquid fertilizer for an acre of cucumber
Each liquid fertilizer has its own application uses

@jethro2 nd world1 nd others. Is compulsory i make ridges for my cucumber and how many seed pa hole. At what time should i start applying insectide. For those in ijebu ode of ogun state,when can we plant next year.

Ridges help to reduce weeding. Its not compulsory but advisable to make ridges.
Apply insecticide once you start seeing insects. At times the leaf will start having holes. These are made by the insects.
Cucumber can be planted anytime of the year provided you can wet or supply water of minimum of an inch per day to your crop. It requires a well drained soil and lots of sunshine

Most insecticides don't work with most vegetables, cucumber included. My cucumber start having pest by second week after planting. The first application was effective. Subsequent ones was not. The insects became resistants' to the pesticide we are using. There is no sure method for insects and pest control
Stake is when you make some stands for the cucumber to crawl on. Like we do for Ugu vegetable and some tomato varieties. Instead of spreading on the soil they spread and crawl on the stake
