Zaynie,
A brilliant idea and I pray it stands the test of time. I believe we can execute it successfully.
1. Once it kicks off, rules of engagement can be modified as deemed fit to prevent abuse.
2. We may have to come up with a board of mamas that have a talent for organising and managing people effectively and efficiently.
3. We may have to coordinate in zones/states but have a means to render reports centrally

Christine77: Good evening all, please my first time here and also a ftm. I have a son who is a month n some days old. I am doing both formula and breastfeeding. However I noticed that whenever I give him formula, his poo is always watery (yellow) in color with small egusi like things in it. Is it his formula? Should I change it? This was not how it was in d beginning.
Please all the gurus in d house I await your response. Thank you. Hi Christine77, There's no need to change the formula. The poop with seed-like flecks are very normal. You may wish to read this too https://www.babycenter.com/0_baby-poop-a-complete-guide_10319333.bc |

Even if the knee pad went for 1k on Ali express, it's free shipping, it still won't be up to 7k So you see how some people de use us make money

hunniesuzie: Mine has foam and works well for falling but I may need to replace it soon, LO found a way to peel the mat and he tries to eat the peeled portion. I saw an unpeelable one but it's 16k (say who die nah) For now I just cut off the peeled portion so he doesn't swallow it
Note that once you put the mat, your baby may find his way to the "unmatted" part of the floor to practice his standing, these babies ehn...Me I try not to stress myself again Thank you Hunniesuzie. I'll find better use for that 16k instead. His grandma has suggested that I should go to all this foam sellers to buy the thickness I feel it's okay, give it to a tailor to sew cover on it for me. |

Benignasweety: Can ribena serve as my sweetener when my baby starts eating cereals? Am not sure of all this apple puree, banana puree, no blender.
We would be 6months next month... How time flies!!I am not ready true true but I can do it tru Christ. I don't know about using ribena as a sweetener. Personally I will prefer natural foods /fruits as sweetners. You can get a potato masher if you don't have a blender. It works fine for my apple puree, rice pudding...you only need to get what you're mashing soft. check the stores for a potato masher. you fit get one in your kitchen already sef.

Hello super mamas,
Please for mamas that have playmats- does it have foam that is sufficient enough to cushion the effect of falling? I ask because all my ds wants to practice now is standing. Even when I put him on the normal mat to avoid falling from the bed. He attempts standing without support and sometimes end up falling down on his bum or hitting his head.
My hands are aching from carrying him upandan... |

Giddyperson: Thanks I'd try a little orange then, since orange worked, why do you still want to try water melon. I can't even say if my baby likes or hates water. If you take away the bottle, she'd cry. She would keep drinking a whole drum if you keep giving it to her, just that she would keep swishing it around her mouth and finally open her mouth to let it pour out. When you are done with that whole drama, only like half the bottle would be in her belly while the other half would be in her clothes- soaking through her bib. You must change cloth every time you give water. I still want to try water melon (I believe it is milder) if drinking flavoured water is the surest way to get him taking water very well. Oranges (citrus fruits in general) are acidic in nature and I don't want his stomach to go and be turning. |

goodfortun: Good morning mommas. I'm back again (in 9ce's voice) please when can one stArt backing baby with wrapper? Grandma wee soon return home and I need to be effective with chores when it's just bobo and I left.
Also this baby peeling issue, when does it stop and what can I do to clear the skin? Arms and legs. Eksbabe; what did you do in bobo's case?
Then baby started fussing in his sleep since last week; grunting and making all sort of noise while sleeping. He rarely sleeps quietly for 10 minutes straight; he's restless. Did anyone experience this. Our mothers are soooo good with backing babies even from a week old. I will suggest you start backing your baby before grandma leaves so she can guide you with it. Wearing your baby on the back looks easy when you see others do it but I must confess I had difficulties doing it by myself coupled with my DS that doesn't enjoy backing. He screams each time I back him but when grandma backs him....he stays gentle. I've gotten better with it and I noticed it was the way I was positioning his legs that usually made him scream. The skin peeling will go by itself. There's no need to worry at all. I only kept using coconut oil even up till now. Baby grunting and being restless while sleeping is usually as a result of being gassy. If it is colic, his crying will get him an award. My DS experienced being gassy and won't stop grunting till he's able to pass out the gas. There were times he will let out the gas and will still cry...I guess the farting sound gets him startled. overall, I waited it out for 4months before it stopped. Gripe water did nothing for us when we used it. #sorryformylongepistle |

Giddyperson: Please is there any thing else apart from water that I can give baby daily to avoid constipation. I try to give her water but she just plays around with it and spits out most of it. Or Is there anything I can add to the water to give it a more encouraging taste. She's finally pooping now and it's hard and she's straining too much I just started giving my DS water last week. He also spits it out or spoils his mouth when he tastes it but yesterday I squeezed half of a whole orange and added it to the water. He gulped the whole 60ml in a twinkling of an eye. His poop was softer afterwards unlike the semi-hard one he poops when he takes apple puree. He clocked 6 months yesterday. I plan on using water melon henceforth so we will be doing oranges once in a while. |

hunniesuzie: So Bobo has Malaria and infection. And we were given meds including Lonart 20/120. That's how they said I should give him 14 mls a day AT ONCE!!!! I asked like 4 times, babe who dispensed the drugs said it's correct. I checked the leaflet in the box, it says 5ml in the morning, 5 in the evening which makes more sense to me. Mamas who know pls advise. My baby is 7 months plus and 9.5kg
Thanks Giddyperson, finally left after raking at past 1, he's kuku scattering everywhere, my baby's habit of falling sick with no fever or loss of appetite sef is a bit disconcerting
Cc enque, soonest (read you're a pharmacist), zaynie, Akorkor, jazzyjazz, iomoge2 and all mamas online. Waiting for feedback before I give him edakun when my DS was treated for malaria, his prescription was 5ml start- 5ml after 8 hrs and 5ml for 3days. We weren't given lonart but one of the arthemeter lufemantrine brands. I will be surprised if your lo can take 14 ml of medicine at once sef except if he enjoys it before. He might spit it out so give him in bits. The other time my DS had malaria, he was eating and playing very well. It was 3days consistent green poo that made me go to the hospital and when tested, it revealed malaria. May God help us with taking care of them. |

My baby is rejecting nan too even tho she took it well when she was born. But BIL told me to try sma gold Lol...you sound like a school principal with you wanting to discipline hunniesuzie. Hi Rooty, Please take your baby to the hospital so she can be checked. The rashes is likely a reaction to the use of silverbird eucalyptus oil on her head. Essential oils are very potent so you must be careful with how you use them. She will be fine. |

When I give him with spoon he eats up to 150ml of either pap or cereal in less than15mins but with bottle he barely eats 80ml in 30mins+. She sounds like am doing something very bad. You are not doing anything bad. Bottle feeding is what they are used to. This is exactly what I have been facing in the last few days. spiceeamiee: What pcm did you use? Panda? That did nothing for my baby when she had her 6weeks immunisation. She had strong fever for over 48hours and I was so scared until a nurse told me to buy Calpol. It's a stronger med specifically for post immunisation fever. It's quite pricey (about 3k)But it's well worth. You may not be able to get it in most pharmacy but check Health/Med plus. Hope your LO feel better soon I second the use of Calpol infant suspension for post immunisation fever. It very very effective even for teething pains. The difference in the relief it provides is very clear when compared with panda. let me add that Calpol is just like the pcm I knew while growing up. We bought ours for #2500 but I saw it for #1870 in another pharmacy. you may wish to compare prices before buying. cc.bookholla
