We took 9Months immunisation last week and there wasn't any drama. just cry cry as the syringe poked his arm. I gave him pcm immediately sha.
We took at the PHC so I've no idea about cost at private clinics.

I stumbled on a youtube video uploaded by babycenter on how to bath a newborn.

It says you shouldn't bath a baby more than once or twice a week. I also noticed the midwife didn't use soap, only a wash cloth to clean the baby in the tub with warm water and just shampoo for the baby's hair.
It says it is absolutely not necessary to use soap on a baby, but if you must, use a very mild soap.

I was even shocked that most of the commenters found nothing wrong in it..like its normal to them. One commenter even said bathing them more than twice a week can cause skin dryness and allergies early in life.. (duhhh!!)

My sister experienced this some weeks ago not until she gave her baby an African baby scrub after 4 days of _{oyinbo rub and shine} ..lol before the baby had a very goooood sleep.

That was how my ds used to show eagerness at 4months and I was happy he will readily accept cereals when 6months reach....Na lie
we are 9Months now and I have to twist and turn to be able to put food in his mouth.

No need for babyrex or whatever drug for teething in babies. you only need paracetamol whenever there is a slight raise in temperature.

Adding to the above, the immunisation site on the thigh may be swollen and hot! Please do not massage just place a wet cool wash cloth to it and give pcm if there's a fever. Expect baby to be cranky just try as much as you can to make her comfortable.

The result you will get from using this won't be really smooth except for very soft foods like avocado.
have you tried using the mill/grinder that came with your blender. its perfect for pureed foods too.

Don't indulge any negative emotion. It is quite easy to feed it with all sorts especially if you have the ability to easily create imaginary characters in your head. STOP that movie production in your head before it consumes your energy and saps you of joy.

There's no circumstance/temptation that comes to man that cannot be overcome.it's only a matter of time provided you allow yourself to take the right decisions per time.

Don't allow depression/hurt/resentment/bitterness/sadness/guilt to get hold of you. Just take one day at a time with a conscious intent of being joyful no matter what. keep your sanity for everything you hold dear. Get back to loving YOU despite everything that has happened.

Please seek professional help if you find it difficult to handle this alone. I'm quite sure there will be some kind of therapy that will help you through this.

I can assure you that there's no need for the teething medicine. teething is a normal physiological process in growing babies.
If at all you need anything, just have your pcm handy.
If you have been on this thread long enough, you will know that a lot of symptoms we often associate with teething turns out to be another illness affecting the baby.

Giddyperson, why don't you try the ogi method? The only thing that is fried is the soybeans. The millet, corn and guinea corn are soaked together and grounded then sieved like the normal ogi. That's the easiest method I could find after asking around.

@queensnow if I am using unripe plantain flour, at what point do i put it? Is it after I make it like ogi? That is also the point I put the soyabean powder and milled groundnuts abi?

at wholesale, she's selling a pack of 12(2kg) @28,800 which means a single container of 2kg costs 2,400.
While the retail price as shown in the weblink is 2,500.

Lol...I'm not a fan of Tombrown sef with all the fry dis, fry dat in the recipe. _{I yam a lazy geh sometimes} it's just milled roasted corn+orisirisi and I equate that to fortified ogi which I'm accustomed to.

Some mamas here have been searching for it in the stores sha @gigy and spiceeamiee. you may wish to bail them out for a fee and then expand the business.

There are good brands of powdered ogi in the stores so you can send for one so you don't stress yourself making from the scratch.

The boy is big and hyperactive. He can hardly sleep in the day time without succor to breast. At night he wakes up more than 6 times to suck breast and he's a heavy sucker. All efforts to give him milk, tea, baby food at night fails. If it's not breast at night he'll bring down the roof with cries. He eats anything normal at day time oo.
