Being too sugary is one of the reasons why I did not go for it.

I will try infacol or SMA Gold for now.

Please any mama that knows a suitable one should also suggest.
Thanks.
Nestlé Nido Kinder 1+ has good reviews. You may wish to check it out.
Friso is also à very similar brand to peak. You can try the stage 3.

She does in the interim, but I'm hoping it's not a long term thing.

Normally, there is milk for 1,2,3,4 year olds.

But I didn't go for that because she seemed to like peak milk a lot, and since she's above one year, I figured it's okay to start her on that.

I was wrong.
just jejely give her stage 3 of the milk formula she used to take or try peak 123 though I learnt it's too sugary.

Good day to all wonderful mamas on this thread
#Longpostalert

Let me start by appreciating all the mamas that has out of their tight schedule been able to answer other mamas question.

I've been following this thread since I gave birth to my DD(now 13months) even though i was not registered then and I can boldly say its has really helped me being a ftm.

DD has been running temperature for some days after given her pcm,it subisdes and after that it shows up again.so I took her to hospital on wed and she was given antibiotic, antimalarial with pcm after given her the drug the temp would come down only to resurface again.

Around 3am on Friday, her temp.was high again and after given her pcm, I decided to log in and read post that I've missed and I saw review on NUROFEN.
Immediately I gave the drug, even though it was another brand, her temperature has been back to normal

God bless all super mamas and their LO's

NB:I hardly ask question(s) here because most time the questions has been treated,so what i do is to read previous post

HELP!!! She has been on BF for the past 6days without food. Also I noticed some rashes on her body and she has been crying frequently than usual, there's decrease in amount of urine passed.
Cc:-) zaynie, enque,Jgracious,Liftedhands and all super mamas
How many days was prescribed for the drug intake? If it's not yet complete, please complete the dosage. If complete and no positive result is seen, Please take her back to the hospital.

If she's not taking enough water, she might be dehydrated.

If no blood test was carried out initially, please insist on having one carried out. That way, you understand what is really happening within her body.

cheers.

Txx mumy d rash doesnt mak him mak him uncomfortable here is d pix
the rash looks more like an allergic reaction. since the milk is what you newly introduced, I'll advice that you stop the milk, treat him for the allergy and then try another milk.

I use cow and gate nutristart 2 for my ds and he does not react to it.

When buying another milk, check the nutritional information on the tin and compare with that of cow&gate so you don't have a recurrence of him reacting.

How many tablets r the soap?
It's just one tablet per pack (100g). It lasts for 2months at least or more if you keep it dry after each use.

Please, does anyone know where i can et nycil baby formula in Lagos?
I have never heard or seen nycil baby formula. I only know of their range of skin care products for babies.
Nevertheless, I will advise that you use a product you can easily get to buy so you don't keep looking for it whenever you need it.

Hello mamas, sorry to take ur time on this. Its not even a birth story.
I'd like for us to discuss a very sensitive topic. I know most women/mothers shy away from this topic so i really would not mind if i dont get enough feedback. However i ll appreciate if i can get a few responses.

First, i want to appreciate God almighty for blessing us with d fruit of the womb. Some of us so easily and even those of us who didnt find it easy but got there at last, thanks to God almighty.

On this same thread, mothers have birthed thier babies, some through Vaginal Birth and others through C-Section.
For me and some other soon to be new moms out there, there is this general notion that once a woman has had a baby her body no longer remains d same again. Hmmmm. Let me jus hit d nail on the head. In other words, she becomes really loose down there especially if she has jus had a VD. How true is this assertion? Is there any effective remedy?
Your body was created by design to function the way it does so there's nothing to fear. You will be amazed at the extent to which it can endure/adapt various changes.
True, the body changes after delivery. Good management and care will help it get restored though it may take a while.
Tell your mind this truth, accept it and love whatever it brings.

Goodmorning all i woke up very sad this morning not happy at all. Please mamas that carried pregnancy with fibroid how did you cope? cry cry cry cry the pain i felt all through last night i have never felt it before i was just crying, wailing and rolling on the bed. It started from church in the morning but last night was terrible i have never experienced it. With frequent urination every 2 to 5mins. I kept sipping on cold water i was confused.

My dh was just looking at me helpless to the extent that he said maybe we should terminate the pregnancy, do the fibroid operation and then conceive again... cry cry i told him God forbid that i will manage the pain for 9Months angry angry. Mamas what should i do as i am just starting i have not even entered 2 and 3rd trimester and the pain is this serious. undecided undecided undecided

The doctor recommended paracetamol for me 2 in the morning, 2 afternoon and 2 at night but i have not started it pls is paracetamol safe at this stage?

Pls dont read and pass i need urgent help as i am still in pains. Sorry for the long post and any typo im not myself cry
Hope you are feeling better? If you're still in pains, please please go to the hospital.
I went through a similar experience towards the end of first trimester. The pain was so excruciating and I even found it difficult to sit down. It wasn't as if standing was any better sef. I felt I could manage the pain and kept telling myself I will be fine. eventually, I saw the doctor who requested that I did a scan. The scan revealed multiple uterine fibroids. I was admitted for 5 days and given intravenous fluids apart from pain relieving tabs.
I felt better afterwards and didn't go through any pain of that sort till I delivered. by God's grace, the fibroids didn't disturb the positioning of the baby and was able to have VD.
Please let the Dr. know the extent of your pain so they can treat you appropriately.
You'll be fine. It is well with you.

Mamas that use sabamed soap does it have awful smell after sometime. Cus Iyam nt understanding y my lo soap started smelling huh
I have been using for the past 7months and it doesn't give an awful smell over time.

check well maybe something else is stuck on the soap or the foul odour is coming from somewhere else.
How do you keep it after using?
I ensure that the soap case is separated from the sponge case to keep it dry cos I know it absorbs water easily and gets it melting/wasting .

Was it the cola or mere coincidence? I can't say till i try it again.

Has anybody heard or tried this before?
Trying to think of why it worked..
content of ors ( water, sugar, salt)
flat cocacola( water, sugar+ caffeine from kolanut, coca leaves, vanilla flavour,+other orisirisi)

probably if ors can be flavoured, babies will take it without so much fuss

biochemist mamas can help us decode this na?

Mamas my baby will be 5months next week and i want to start her on fruit purees, cereals, etc. We tried cereal once this month but it was a disaster. I am determined however that this time will be successful. I would like to know if this baby food masher is a worthy investment for mashing fruits, potatoes etc or should I just buy a hand blender. Which is better and easier in terms of usage, cleaning, etc
The baby food masher is a good investment. buy it from aliexpress(free shipping) if possible. I think it's much more cheaper than buying it from the stores here. It's useful when there's no power supply.

You once mentioned power supply is good in your area so buying the hand blender is not a bad idea too. It saves time and gives a very fine texture.

I use the small grinder/mill that comes with blenders for my ds and I like the result it gives me... smooth

Please mothers, can u give me an estimate of the quantity of milk a four month two weeks old should consume at once. My son consumes just about 180mls between 7am to 5pm, I was told he prefers drinking just water which I also noticed. He is developing well but I just feel I should probably be worried as I feel 180mls in 10hours is small. Please kindly share your opinion. I give him nan 1.

Cc: all experienced mamas. Thanks in advance

Please don't waka pass mamas
Do you complement with breastmilk? If no, then 180mls in 10hrs is rather small.

Spiceaimee,

I hope the boy survives it.
That was exactly my fear too.

Does anyone know a board we can report such cases too?
Is the State Government Twitter handle active?

I remember when Fashola was on seat, their fear used to be getting reported at Alausa. To the extent they would even refuse bribes or tips out of fear.
The Lagos state govt. social media handles are active but I don't know how efficient their response time and follow up on issues is. You can also try using this link to give feedback to the govt.
