Hi @openpeace, did your SIL disclose right from the application that she was going for birth tourism?

You know, this whole saga is a little confusing.
Some people are of the opinion that you deny any form of pregnancy while others are advocating for disclosure with doctor,s appointment et al.
Are there people here who have disclosed even with doctor's appointment and gotten denied?
In reality, one cannot deny a pregnancy if it is already showing.
Has anyone denied being pregnant and was still granted? Did they confirm by running tests or scans?
Me I don tire o

Openpeace:
God bless you, I didn't want to say because many people just concluded on behalf of Brazilian govt.

A country that is trying to revive their tourism system and you're talking about anything.

Tell them you have a hospital appointment that's all.

Wether na plastic surgery or na birth nothing like denying VISA.

in my brothers case they even asked the wife why she's not going with someone or did she make arrangements for special care giver and she said that's what is included in the hospital.

Pls don't stress yourself.

His wife was already 7months gone and she has put to birth last night.

I need gather money my turn na straight up.

Sandy04:
I arrived Brazil on Tuesday.
I am so grateful to God and everyone here, for their contributions
Read the pages from 1-69 more than 10 times, before I decided to take this step.
God has been merciful.
I was called for interview, and finally received the visa.
I arrived using GUI airport in São Paulo.
Smooth and fair.

Ask/make your South African visa contributions here, i have seen increasing number of different threads about South African visa recently hence the need to dedicate one thread for South African visa issues.
Hello house ... please I have a question. Visa was rejected on grounds of insufficient funds. Applied for 5 days for vacation and also to attend my boss’s birthday. All documents complete. Bank balance was about 600k and cash investment letter was about 8M which I have access to at anytime. Any body with a similar experience on why this was so? And any advice on how I can proceed? Should I have liquidated my investments moved to my bank account ? Pls assist .. thank you.

When I went for my interview.. I showed the VO clearly what was in the cash payment agreement which is very similar to this document you have attached here. But the response I got was that this wasn't sufficient enough. It just did not make sense. Now.. what I deduced from my interaction with the VO was that they want to see proof of what exactly was done to this payment adjustment on the itemised bill. I also asked if I could get a written representation from the hospital on this but she also said that wasn't going to be suffient and I should figure out what evidence would be appropriate. By the way, she mentioned briefly that a 10 to 15% discount was reasonable to her. I have called my hospital to send me a transaction history letter showing a zero balance in the list and clearly state that the discount was written off and not charged to govt. This is the best they said they could do ...in addition to the other proofs I have. I might just apply again and see where this goes from there. Going forward, I think Mamas in yanki should try and get a written explanation of any adjustment in their bills especially when it is huge or more 50%. All the best ...just be honest.. Who knows ..you might meet a different VO from the one I met.

lynniebabes:
Here is a form I was given when I walked into the hospital to make inquiries. I need help my interview is next week. And most of this VO don’t understand that this is a flat rate given to ever selfpay patient in the hospital. I have my zero balance receipt o. And I’m dew next two months.with this problems is it ok to state I’m going for childbirth.

Hello house and Good day to everyone here. I had my interview today and wasn't given a visa. Application was for vacation and not birth. The officer said that I need to find out what happened to the payment adjustment on my itemised bill. I was so sceptical on taking the bill but eventually decided to and that was what the officer capitalised on.
No other question was asked and she only requested for my passports and medical receipts.

On my itemised bill. There is a huge discount which they called payment/adjustment compared to the exact medical expense that was incurred. Actual medical expense which I have receipts for was about 8k5 ( VD) while the total amount on the itemised bill is 29k. How do I reconcile this difference?

I gave birth in Atlanta medical center in 2015 and there was a cash payment agreement which was signed by me and the hospital for the cost I paid. The agreement also clearly stated that I will not be using any Medicaid for this purpose.. but then the visa officer said that wasn't suffiecient enough. I had zero balance receipts and letters from both the hospital , pediatrician and doctors stating that I have no outstanding payment.
I also noticed that there were some services which I paid for separately and was way overstated on the itemised bill ...like anesthesiologist fee and also items like pharmacy alone had over 8k USD. Is it possible to get itemised bill that will tie directly to what was paid?

How do I proceed from here my people.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Jibbie2015: 8:58pm On Nov 12, 2018
Hey mama! What about those that have just a letter of non-indebtedness from the hospital... In addition to the zero balance bill. Will that suffice? Because I wasn't given an itemised bill myself.

Waiting to read how yours went. Can others that have attended interviews recently also please share their transcripts... I will be attending in a few weeks.

Hello house, Good morning. just to ask what you think about receiving an inflow of a little over a mil from a family member just the week before my visa interview. Some say that might look suspicious. Although we currently have a combined balance in 2 savings accounts of over 3mil and cash savings in dollars of like 5k. Do we also present our salary accounts with the savings accounts? that will be like 4 accounts together including the savings accounts. And den how do we also let the VO know we have cash savings in dollars...are we supposed to take that along for the interview too. Budget sheet is a little over 3mil for expenses to be incurred in the USA.

Experienced members... your expertise advice is needed here urgently abeg.

Please house who has returned from U.S. with two infants oh.. is that possible? I read somewhere on delta airline website that an adult can take two Infants (one lap child and another a seat has to be purchased). I called the office in Lagos just to double check and the call agent said it's not allowed. Kindly advise my people. It's stressful but what if that's the only option one has under a short notice?
Thanks

Please advice me
@glassy2606. So sorry abt the denial. But then how exactly did your interview go? Do you mind sharing your experience/conversation that ensued? and then what exactly makes you think you were rejected cos of no correspondence with the hospital? Which doctor's letter/correspondence did you also present to the VO?

@jibbie2015: please use dr fahbogun. You may just increase your budget a bit as the bils are a bit higher than mihs.. i applied with mihs but was refused for no apparent reason. Some think it's because there was no direct letter from the obgyn except the letter of appointment with the financial counsellor. others think because the cost is low... dunno
I can't say for sure so you can use Dr ff... good luck!
@xyzabcuo thank you so much. Just another quick question pls.. In filling application form the form i ve chosen the b2 (medical and tourism) form for myself and the b1/b2 form for my husband (business and tourism). How then do they link as we want to go for the interview together. Thanks a mil. So i submit separately or are we to fill just one single form?

greetings to this wonderful house,

l m very interested in Mihs cos of my budget and i have a couple of questions to ask before i send in my application abeg. i have gone thru part 1 and 2 of this threa already.

first, has anyone applied recently to the embassy using mihs as point of reference and an agent as the contact person in phoenix?
abeg what are my chances here with the application as i understand i will most likely just get a letter of appointment from the hospital. how do i also get a correspondence directly from an obgyn as part of my burden of proof at the embassy.

2. i hav also received an acceptance email fom dr fagbohun/oakbend-texas. just like arizona i dnt knw any body too so will ve to get an apartment. i am just confused abt which route to channel my application thru.

3. my elder sister is in columbus ohio and if i had to choose it will def b columbus. but then hospital fees na fire. evryone on this thread that had mentioned ohio at some point has backed out. has anyone ever used this columbus route before? or have any information on a reasonable hospital in columbus specifically.
I beseach all my gurus in the house... help me as i m a sept mum and i am yet to submit my application and get appointment with the embassy. all my time was wasted searching in ohio. cry
