Caverton EPS drops to 0.23k, due to FX loss, finance cost and fall in Helicopter Charter revenue. |
Wonderful result from FBNH. im glad to be loaded there. Let's be mindful, that the group has sold their insurance company, which can be seen from profit for discontinued operations. |

It's a shame that it took a Foreign News Agency (BBC) to finally show us what is actually going on in our insolation wards. We allow foreign media control our narratives. You can see how BBC exposed our health care failure to the world. We ought to have shown this type of videos ourselves (local news) ever since the citizens started doubting the Virus. This country breeds mistrust. Everything is in secrecy. |
COVID 19 IS REAL, BUT MALARIA HAS KILLED MORE PEOPLE EVEN IN THE PEAK OF THIS PANDEMIC. Fix all Healthcare centres not this temporary Isolation centres. |

When we have analog brains heading every organisation in the country. |
The elephant is going north. megawealth01: |
With the brains available in this country, this is most creative initiative the government can come up with having a monthly bill of 15billion naira, excluding other admin expenses. Now politicians determine who are selected. |

FBNH and Zenith sweeting my belly. ![]() |
@Mcy: Me that I still bought small units at 2.9 last week Thursday. Offcourse I expected reduction in dividend. I even mentioned it here before the result came out. businesses with huge finance liabilities especially in FX will want to have enough cash reserve to mitigate the socio-economic risks triggered by Covid. Some people here are just trouble makers. Why mock people over their investment choice. We are here to exchange knowledge and not by showing oversabi. I believe with the amount of cash we put in equity, we should be more matured. Nobody is forcing any stock on anyone. We share information and each person should free will to make their own choices. We all have our Target. Caverton price that didn't collapse in comparison with its industry peers and is still within its high price. Still having one of the best Price/earning ratio in the whole market, So there is space to come down safely without burning cash. All I said is about 2020 FY is going to be tight as many other companies will face challenges in Nigeria due to Covid, oil price and FX. I sold at 2.4 2wks ago when the stock was selling 2.77. Took my loss like a G, and entered fbnh at 4.7. Still riding. |
For caverton, a stock with market price of N2.6 having EPS of N1.29 is brilliant. cant wait for it to reach its low, make i go clear market, |
Prof you whats up. Yes o, we cant be the victims when the giants are crying. What is the essence of been in a forum like this, if i wont learn from the many experience of traders here as well. Buy low, sell High. Loyalty doesnt always make you win. Imagine those who bought Gtb, Fbn and Zenith at their record High back in 2007/8. now add the loss due to yearly inflation and FX devaluation. Profit you make can be kept and still be loss. But Loss is Loss. Never Lose you capital. #playsmart and wait for the best opportunity. Nigeria is in trouble right now, our second highest source of FX ( the diaspora) are also struggling. by august the crisis will become clearer. For caverton, a stock with market price of N2.6 having EPS of N1.29 is brilliant. cant wait for it to reach its low, make i go clear market, DeRuggedProf: |
lol, no be so. depending on your entry price + dividend, we should all be good. i entered bulk of my holdings at N1.7 ( i have been giving update from 90kobo), and the company has been growing steadily in revenue and stock price. so no doubt its a solid company with new contracts signed recently. Moving forward, the company has completed setup of their MRO center and should launch the Training facility within the next 12 months ( with its 1st of the kind in Africa worldclass flight simulator on its way to Nigeria), their income will be better diversified. But as you see we here are just minority holders, we cant afford to suffer the coming market blow like them (majority shareholders), as Capital preservation is key. We shall return once the storm is clear. We are here to be our brothers and sisters keeper. DeRuggedProf: |
After more research and analysis with insiders and external resources on Caverton. Its clear Caverton will take abit of beating this 2020 FY. Large FX liabilities/expenses and lower Revenue expected with oil major slowing down operations. With cash reserve, we don't expect a loss yet. It will be advisable to watch from the sidelines. I'm Out!! |
Na lie. No be so e dey work. landmark86: |
The result is not bad at all. the only issue here is the reduction in dividend declared which was expected due to the current economic risk. They will have to make provision for FX devaluation (which will affect cost of imported spare-parts and loan servicing for new aircrafts) and also prepare for slowdown in the oil market, as nigeria has cut production level. So this is them been conservative. Mcy56:its caverton i sold off by mistake last week, i will be glad to reload heavily going forward. i was able to use the mistake sell-money, to enter fbnh at 4.70. so sometimes a mistake is a blessing in disguise. jideflash: |
