The *904*amount# service is called MTN On Demand service which allows subscribers to buy airtime directly from their bank accounts via a code at their convenience, anytime, anywhere. Subscribers can buy airtime to a maximum of N3000. However, currently there are 7 banks on the platform, they are: Zenith Bank, Diamond Bank, Stanbic Bank, FCMB, Fidelity bank, First bank, Access bank. Please confirm if your Bank is listed. Regards

After complaining about data share issues a couple of days ago, it eventually went thru even though I still get d data share failed messages a couple of times before it eventually goes thru.. Now a couple of days ago on d 16th specifically I had a about 3490mb of data and tried sharing to a particular number twice but still got d same datashare failed msg and den eventually tried anoda number and dat went thru and my balance was 2440mb . Decided to try d previous number I had tried to share data to earlier and still got a failed msg. Tried one more time and den it went thru. Hi Denc, so sorry about this. You can switch your network mode to (4G and 3G) ONLY to make/receive calls. in addition, USSD is currently not working on MTN 4G at the moment. Regards

After subscribing on June 3 2017 for the monthly 1.5 gig which i can afford as a student everything was going on fine. I was given 20 percent bonus for my subscription and I was surprised at first knowing the kind of network that MTN is but along the line I just felt relaxed because all seemed well, the internet speed was okay.

So after using up the bonus data which was 250mb I guess, my internet connections immediately stopped I was thinking maybe it was because of the rain that was falling so I decided to switch off my phone and I went to bed but after waking up at about 5.30 pm that same day I realized that it might actually be something else that is causing the holdup so I decided to take a stroll to king square in Benin city. Those that are familiar with that area will know that there's nothing techy in Edo state that you can't find there, if its not there then its not in the state. so I went there and switched on my data and still it was not connecting, but when I check my data I still have my 1.5 gig which I subscribed for. I was so shocked that I decided to call their customer care to know what's up, after running a check on my line they told me that every thing was okay with my line and they confirmed that I had the 1.5 gig on my sim but why I was unable to browse they couldn't say. The customer care agent then told me that I should wait for 24 hours that she'll refresh my sim and forward my details to a certain unit that the issue will surely be resolved the next day. My people naxo I wait o till today I never still browse..

I then decided to call there customer care rep today and they na started telling me rubbish that my data has been canceled.

what rubbish, as in who cancelled the data, is it the witches in my village or they canceled it from my villages community chairmans backyard.

I have not given my phone to anyone since when I subscribed, and this Mtn rep is telling me trash..

why will I subscribe and then cancel the data.

I even borrowed data from them which I'm using to post this and it worked but the one I bought they decided to cancel it, why did they not cancel this one..

Next tomorrow I'm storming their office and I swear I will punch any one that tells me crap that day...

if they like make them arrest me. my hard earned 1k can't just come and go like that na..


Guys if you see anything called Mtn just flee...

Hi cnnelo , to migrate from Pre-paid to Post-Paid plan, you need to provide the following:
•    A form of identification (Drivers’ license, National ID card, voter’s registration card and international passport), 
•    Two coloured passport, 
•    Utility bill – PHCN, tenancy agreement or water rate.  
•    A duly signed activation form, 
•    If it is a corporate line, you will need to present an authorization letter from your company. 
Your request will be completed within 48 hours. 
OR
Visit the MTN website to download the MTN postpaid Subscriber Activation form, new activation form and bank confirmation form 
Send the completed forms with the scanned documents to mtncreditservices@mtnnigeria.net

I have been experiencing deductions of #50 from my MTN line almost everyday for the past two weeks without any notification...I've called their customer care countless number of times but the keep telling me that there's no notification on their system about the deduction that I should call later whilst they check on it,,calling back, it'll be another agent telling me the same thing/asking me to dail * 4 4 7# for active subscriptions, which I've done countless number of times with results that I have no active subscription..it's now very annoying because I can't leave airtime on my phone cos I use it up on recharge...now I don't know what to do cause I can't abandon the line..is any one experiencing the same issue??

Remember that Auto-Renewal has no date, it is renewed as soon as there is enough credit to permit the renewal. Subscribing for any Data Plan means subscribing to its renewal. This is stated on Data Plans Terms & Conditions on MTN website. Like I wrote earlier, clarity will always be provided via this thread as I am always available for your service.

Y'ello Mesoprogress, I am sorry that you have this experience. Please note that all MTN Data Plans are placed on Auto-Renewal policy as stated on MTN Website. Also, the code to opt of the renewal is made available therein. The reversal is possible if it had not been used and expired.

Do you know several days after data expiry, these guys had the audacity to zap my money , and open their mouth to tell me I should have cancelled auto-renewal ! Something they subscribed by themselves, same renewal I intentionally allowed not to auto-renew after expiry.

I bought MTN one week Data Bundle of 750MB for N500 on my number (080*******) on the 20th of June 2017. They automatically enrolled me for auto-renewal (unsolicited subscription). This data exhausted and got expired on the 27th June. They sent me a message that the data has expired and could not auto-renew due to insufficient credit. I did not want the auto-renewal so I let it go.

On the 1st of July 2017, I loaded N1200 airtime. Within minutes I received a message that my one week Data Bundle of 750MB has been auto-renewed and N500 deducted from my airtime balance . Something that expired four days earlier !

I immediately put a call across MTN customer care line to reverse the transaction, that the money is not meant for that. In fact I turned off my data to avoid it being used . The customer care representative now told me that I should have unsubscribed from auto renewal that they do not reverse data bundle once purchased . I now outlined some points to him:

1. It is your organisation that subscribed me to auto-renewal , I did not ask for it and therefore not under any obligation to to cancel it . MTN should give me opportunity to choose auto-renewal by myself. I am not constrained to cancel what I did not activate.

2. The data expired as at when due , and your organisation sent me a message that you could not renew due to insufficient airtime. Logically , I thought that was the end of it. Charging me several days after expiry is plain illegal

3. You do not lose any money by reversing it , and the money will still be used within MTN network, it is not as if you are transferring it back to my bank account.

Unfortunately, MTN customer care did not deem it fit to reverse the transaction and insisted to subscribing me to a service I did not want.

You may not haave noticed this, simply because you don’t monitor your data the way you monitor your call credit, but the truth is “MTN STEALS YOUR DATA LIKE MAD”.
I have noticed this many times over and called the customer care to report several times but they have been trained to just tell you “we are sorry about that, we’ll loo into it,” only for them to tell you (after waiting on the line for several minutes, or even an hour) its like you the applications on your phone (applications you’ve never ever heard of in your life) was turned on.
I noticed if you subscribe for 750mb weekly @ #500, I’ll be given 500mb instead, each time and after a day or 2, you have only 200 mb remaining. So, all you used is just 250 mb for #500.
This has been made possible because there is conspiracy with some powerfull people who make sure nothing happens to MTN.
Int the time of one former minister (for NCC, I suppose), he made sure MTN is kept at bay, only for cabals to hedge him out just because of MTN. Now they do all they want. That’s why they’ve been able to edge out etisalat, glo and airtel.

I do buy stuff from foreign stores. In fact I have subscribed to Amazon Prime twice. They auto-renewed me , I contacted their customer service , they promptly cancelled and reversed the money. It happened again, this time they even have a button to reverse auto-renewal by yourself without chatting their customer service ! So far you did not use the service after the auto-renewal. I clicked the button and got my money reversed. Nigeria service providers are most callous worldwide. Such a shame. If possible , and deemed worth it, please push to frontpage, what our service providers are doing is completely illegal. Lalastilala , mynd44
