Romance / Re: Why A Man Should Never Chase A Woman. by jimts(m): 10:03pm On Sep 24, 2019
The exact advice I gave a friend of mine today while having lunch. You can show love to a lady, but don't to it to the point you start craving for her to reciprocate the same way. That's how desperation sets in, and when you become desperate, you start to do things that take away your mandate as a Man!!

A lot of people claiming religious scriptures as the books that shaped their life, yet Nigeria is still what it is!
Well, that aside, the few books that taught me(as an entrepreneur) how to get the best out of people is "start with why" by Simon Sinek. For business, "crossing the chasm" Georffery Moore, "law of diffusion of innovation" and "attitude is everything"

I've read most of the popular books too

God Bless you all and your businesses!!

Some Nairalanders be like "pictures or adonbilivit". When you give them pictures, they'll start to ridicule the authenticity of its content.

I spent last night reading through this thread from page 1 to 22 and I have just finished seeing all its content. I can tell you that I have learnt a lot from these good guys sharing information as per the subject matter

For those who believe the ODVI invites are not true, simply follow the thread for what you will find beneficial in it. Must you come and quarrel with people you can't even see.

lilytender:
I am a Muslim, but I don't know why I think this is very senseless. In short it is very foolish. Kano State government should have taken these to Onitsha where they get drunk everyday and sell at half the market price.

Okay Mr Muslim.
Your religion says you should command good and forbid evil here "{3:104} And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful.
In which category will you place consumption of alcohol? I'll help you with that too..
Is it not your religion that says "O you who believe! intoxicants and games of chance and (sacrificing to) stones set up and (dividing by) arrows are only an uncleanness, the Shaitan's work; shun it therefore that you may be successful." Q:C5-V90
(English - Shakir)

This is why Hisbah is doing what they are doing
"{9:71} And (as for) the believing men and the believing women, they are guardians of each other; they enjoin good and forbid evil and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and obey Allah and His Messenger; (as for) these, Allah will show mercy to them; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise."

I can only pray that you are not from these ones here
"{9:67} The hypocritical men and the hypocritical women are all alike; they enjoin evil and forbid good and withhold their hands; they have forsaken Allah, so He has forsaken them; surely the hypocrites are the transgressors."

Because it will be too bad for your fellow faithfuls

The worst kind of sin is the sin of aiding and abetting other people to sin.

All of you that are shouting that Kano Hisbah board are hypocrites for destroying alcohol, in what regard exactly? That they share tax from breweries? When budget is allocated to a state, is there a demarcation between the sources of the monies being disbursed to them?

95% of the people commenting right now are either Muslims or Christians, which of the two religions permits consumption of alcohol?

In my opinion, the mud slingers here are actually the hypocrites. You people are the reason there's widespread corruption in the land. It is your kind that are lambasting the youth Corper that raised alarm for receiving #198k instead of #19.8k. Some of you are calling him all kinds of names, some even said they wish they were the ones, but if someone in the seat of power embezzles the country's wealth, you come out and cry fowl.

For once in your lives, if you can't support good, please keep your mouth shut!!

IghoCentric:
Before touching ur transmission(a journey hard to recover from)... Check ur fuel pressure before and after the filter.. that helps diagnose a bad pump or filter.. if all is fine check injector spray pattern for clogged or dead injector nozzles... Also check air filter, then hope none of the codes said anything about catalyst?... Cos if the catalytic converter don dey block that can cause yhe engine to jerk instead of exhaling freely... These tests will take care of the fuel and air supply. Then check sparkplugs fire well... Did u ve any ignition related codes?... Pls dont touch ur transmission unless u ve codes pointing to transmission

This is a very wonderful diagnosis guide OP. Try it please.

Also, if there's any issue with the tranny (which I strongly doubt), you will very likely have a MIL/CEL illuminated. Another thing is that the scanner used might be an entry level OBD II. I suggest that you use a professional one to get relevant info such as freeze frame data and live data.

Education / Re: ‘60% Of Nigerian Undergraduate Projects Plagiarised’ by jimts(m): 7:43am On Nov 09, 2018
As a mechanical engineering undergraduate, when I wanted to do my own project back then in ABU Zaria, I scanned all the project topics in my departmental library to be sure that the topic I had in mind has not been worked on.

After that, I started the project, built a model and added so many features that the actual project writeup was only about 30% of the work I did physically.

On the defense day, there were two separate panels, each panel sent someone to come whisper to me that I should come and do my presentation with them.

After defense, they took my project and put it in general school library museum. Till date, people call me to ask questions about it but no one has been bold enough to attempt doing something similar, let alone plagiarize my work.

And for those who see doubt in everything people say, use this link as a consolation biko

maestroferddi:
In your mind you are making sense, abi?

John 14:6: Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No-one comes unto the Father except through me. "

Islamic view that Jesus was one of the prophets is inconsistent with the above verse.

You respect Jesus?
Big deal! Even the devil respects Him and also tremble....

So you've taken this to comparative religion right?
Islam tells us a lot about the miracles of Jesus, his prophethood and his fatherlessness. We revere him just like Moses, Jacob, Ishmael, Isaac, Joseph, Abraham and Muhammad. All these prophets were sent with the same message, I.e the oneness of God.

So when you say his prophethood is inconsistent with Islamic views, what are you actually trying to say, that he's God?
Religion / Re: Apostle Suleman Condemns Comedians That Joke About Jesus by jimts(m): 5:21pm On Aug 29, 2018
I am a Muslim, but each time I see comedians on stage joking about Jesus, I just frown and pretend I didn't hear the nonsense they were saying.
Look, prophethood is a sacred thing to God. How is it a funny thing to be mocking the messengers of the scriptures we read? Just how?

Jazakum llahu khairan
But what do you mean by prostrating on 7 limbs?

Jazaakumullaahu khairan to the OP. May Allah bless you abundantly!

As regards your question brother, prostrating on seven bones comprises of;

1. Your forehead and nose (are one entity as regards prostration)

2. Your two palms (2)

3. Your two knees (2)

4. And your ten toes, bent forward to face the Qibla (2)

So 1+2+2+2 = 7.

And Allah knows best!

He hasn't eaten for only 24hrs and you guys are already complaining? Well there are millions of Nigerians out there that haven't ate anything in the last 24hrs too, and nobody is talking about them.

Corrupt senators. They virtually add nothing to the progress of the nation apart from looting.

And some of us here are even showing sympathy. Mr. Dino has always insisted to stand by the truth. The things is, nemesis will still catch up with any man who is frequently guilty of mighty lies (like embezzled public funds of untold proportions) yet occasionally stands for meager truth (like pleading for civil servants salary to be paid, and I commend him for this) all in the name of exonerating himself of the former in front of gullible people. Now that the real truth that has no relative or blood ties with anything else other than truth is catching up with him, what's the fuss in showing him sympathy? Is he the first criminal to be paraded and harassed by security forces? Haven't we seen criminals burnt on the streets? Or is it that we have selective definition of who a criminal is?

Look Nigerian youth, we have worked too hard with our brain and body just to keep mind and soul together, how is it that illogical inclinations like these deceive us.
Stay wise my people!

Most sensible nairalander

I was about saying the same.

Anyone (even if na me) who has bad records of financial embezzlement in today's political arena will not want any government to function. This is common sense. That is why they keep pushing to distract us the youth from seeing what should actually be our concern.

See, whether they like it or yes, Nigeria will eventually rise above these insane climes and we the youth (the serious minded ones though) have the physical and mental capacity to oust any one in the government so long as he/she is pulling the nation backward. And there shall come a time when politicians with sinister political intentions and questionable financial records will not be able to sleep in this country with two eyes closed lest they flee...

I love my country, sinking or swimming!
