In South Africa it has not been a rosy time for Nigerian foreign nationals in South Africa due to xenophobic attacks. Nigerians based in South Africa were the victims of xenophobic attacks by our fellow South African brothers who believe they are entitled to everything in life. I understand the fight against drug and human trafficking crimes happening in South Africa Mastered by the Nigerians. In South Africa young girls are trafficked and forced into the sex slavery industry by Nigerian human traffickers which is so sad but not all Nigerians are corrupt, there some Nigerians who were making a clean living but just because they are Nigerians they were also attacked by South Africans and as a South African I humbly apologise for that ordeal the Nigerians went through, we are not xenophobic towards foreigners is just that we don't want drugs and young girls being forced to become prostitutes in South Africa. All foreigners are welcome in South Africa but must come with good intentions not to come destroy young people's lives for money. Truly we are going to miss the Nigerians, they were also contributing to the economic growth in South Africa with successful small businesses which we heavily relied on whereas not even South Africans can offer a good services like Nigerians. Brothers and sisters we miss you so much in South Africa but we understand the situation. I hope those who returned are making a difference in Nigeria. Together Africans we are one nation.

About the subject I'd agree u need convincing that Nigeria actually has more going for it in trade than SA. It's a given that data is better captured in SA owing to the developed white economy over the years thats long connected to the western hemisphere which reflects updated sectors of the economy for western capital flows so it appears its larger than Nigeria's but there's more market going on in Nigeria's informal sectors of the economy than its formal sector captured by the NBS. In essence Nigeria's GDP mostly captures statistics from its formal sectors but its informal economic activity is so huge that it drives the entire West Africa and countries beyond. Conservative estimates will put that entire economic activity if accurately measured at current prices on a scale of 5:1 in favor of Nigeria.

In any case both countries are not maximizing potential but if and when they do it is expected that Nigeria will emerge a global economic power while South Africa will decline in comparison.

Capitalism has failed the South African state and the insistence that it's ideals alone will solve the woes of income disparities and upward social mobility for the poorest in that society is glaringly obvious at this stage in the countries democracy.

The so called opposition the DA continue to flaunt their success in the Western cape but if you visit that place and not just cape town but the entirety of the Western cape you will see for yourself that basically the party is a "white" controlled" "keep the status quo" party that is hell bent on protecting the ill gotten wealth of the "whites" in South Africa while slowing down the corrective measures that are need to bring equality to that province.

Malema's socialist ideas are needed in the overall discussion of how South Africa needs to move forward in addressing the economic problems that plague the country and though admittedly he does sometimes use strong rhetoric, the overall ideas of the EFF are not far fetched and by no means a replica of the socialist ideas of Venezuela which has a different history.

The EFF will continue to increase its block of votes because it caters to the underclass and frustrations of the lower class, something the ANC and the DA are ineffective in articulating.
