Exnavyboy62: When you said South Africa makes better versions of defence equipments than Turkey, do you mean.... Olifant MBT is better than Atlay MBT Rooivalk helicopter is better than T-129 Atak Seeker-400 uav is better than Bayraktar tb2 ucav Mbombe amoured vehicle is better than Otokar Cobra amoured vehicle
Should I continue or I should mind my business ?? - Tanks aren't a major part of our Doctrine and isn't something we will purchase in the near future....Also the Atlay isn't in service yet. - Yes it is, better climb rate, higher max speed, a service sealing 1.5km higher, a hover ceiling 2km higher, better range, better endurance, faster sideway speed, higher load capacity, better HMD, better ATGM........should i go on? - uncomparable the Seeker 400 isn't in the same class as the Bayraktar....a fairer comparison would be to compare it with the Bateleur...which out classes it in ever aspect. - Mbombe, RG35, Marauder, Mamba Mk5.......all have better range and better protection compared to Otokar - I would suggest you mind your business however if you want me to continue to embarrass you ill do it gladly |

Your military chief in Turkey is not news, we all knew that from the start. let me get this straight.... Aero Vodochody engineers carrying a complete overhaul of an Aero Vodochody L-39 FTA which includes avionics upgrade is not the same thing as Cuban military engineers maintaining South-African made military vehicles for your SANDF. - calling a white person white isn't racist. - those aren't the only examples, there are other pictures as well which I've posted showing Whities working on your rotary wing aircraft as well. |

I want to smoke whatever it is you're smoking. - actual proof that we have more than 1 operational ship... See pic - Whities doing the same for NAF see pic _ kabe still not understanding what MRO means - post the article where it says the SA navy has only 1 operational ship

kabe1: Lies,
The SANDF has to hire Cuban military engineers to main South-African military vehicles.
Lies,
MI-17s are always maintained in countries they are deployed or in Europe.
According to Defenceweb publication of 16th November 2022, The South African Navy has only 1 operational ship in service. - Cubans were hired to train maintenance staff... Nothing special, as you can clearly see Nigeria also makes use of foreign contractors for maintenance - Denel is the Mro for MI17 in Africa.... Do you understand what that means - nope that's not what the articles says posting blatant lies don't change the facts l. |

kabe1: Semantics.
Are there SANDF Troops in Mozambique - Yes
Have they been hopelessly incompetent - Yes
Have the Terrorists expanded - Yes Recces aren't SA Army, SA army wasn't deployed when the article was written..........conclusion, article is bogus |
Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by jl115: 9:30am On Nov 23, 2022 |
MAN1960: I don't know why the SANDF makes use of private contractors/companies in the maintenance of their military equipments, it makes no sense to me
Just imagine the SANDF is in war with a competent opponent with good air capabilities I just don't see how this private companies with civilian workers can render any services in such time
Take a look at the Nigerian armed forces for example, we have aircraft engineers for the Air Force, Marin engineers/Navy engineers for the Navy, repair and maintenance/army engineering command and many more which are charged with the responsibility of maintenance and repair and the availability of military equipments.
The Nigerian Air Force has aircraft serviceability of 75% which is the highest in Africa this tells you how good the Air Force engineers are and mind you this engineers are given military training and they can operate in the most difficult conditions/environments
The South African Air Force entire fighter fleet is currently in bad condition and I'm currently reading about the South African Navy's fleet has been reduced to just one operable ship available for military exercise due to over reliance on private companies and also lack of funds - All militaries do, including Nigeria for certain maintenance...see pic 1 and 2 (FYI Denel is the MRO for Mi 17s in Africa, so your Mi17 parts come from SA ) - Source? - Fake news, see pic(Taken last month)

kabe1: So your "Special"(if you can even describe them as that) forces in Mozambique are on a vacation.
No wonder the terrorists are expanding their sphere of influence.
Sleepy, incompetent SANDF. I said the army wasn't in Moz....I never said the Recces weren't there....again, just as incompetent as the journalist you quoted. But hey! if you expect a handful of Recces(probably less than 30) to stop several thousand rebels from taking several thousand kilometres of territory then I want what you are smoking |
