Covert1: And the Nigerian Navy showed up off Cape Town just like I said years back they would if they wanted to and have been doing so now for many years since, something the Southies and some Nigerians said was impossible. The Nigerians have even showed up in far away Australia a first and only in all of Africa. who claimed a ship can't sail?? |

kabe1: New MMIPV in exercise points to possible non-availability of other platforms
Defenceweb - 16th November 2022
" possible" "non-availability"...... Could you please post where the article says non-operational.... I'll wait |

kabe1: He also sees employment of the new MMIPV as indicating “no other ships are or were available” for both exercises adding it “could” be why Brazil was not part of Ibsamar.
What a shame, same old story of MZansi incompetence. do you read "could be" and "possibly" do you understand the meaning of those words? |

Covert1: Mgbeke you are still here without shame spewing thrash and propaganda when your fellow Southies have since fled in defeat to the superiority of the Nigerians on all levels military and economic. This is not 2006, wake up, Africa has since moved on. There's no Boko haram in urban centers of Nigeria and not even with freedom of action in the Lake Chad Basin where they've been pulverized. Apparently you got out from prison so be appraised of current realities.
Nigeria is Africa's superpower with its largest economy, largest democracy and preeminent military power and the largest black nation on earth. Nigeria has to disintegrate for the Southies to see the sun and that won't happen A military with only 3 modern mig21s, no subs, no Frigates, no anti ship capabilities, no Gbads, can't defeat a rag tag rebel group in its own country. Also an economy that is 3 times smaller per capita, a country that is considered the 4 or 5th most failed state in the world, can barely keep up with SAs growth rate despite having 4 times the population.... Should I go on? |

Covert1: Slo.wpo.ke warned you so many times Nigeria does not have a Defence Force as the first line of defence against external aggression as you tend to insinuate which is deliberate condescension. What we have is The Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which is made up of the Army, Navy, Air Force, the police, paramilitary & all intelligence agencies.
However Nigeria does have a para-military force structure of Civil Defence Corps [NSCDC] akin or a bridge to a National Guard with combat and SF elements better than some of what obtains as a relic of your SADF now the SANDF [Defence Force]. The Nigerian Armed Forces are only called in for the heavy lifting when all else fail with the use of crack para-military forces as we see with BHT terrorists.
No force dominates in Nigeria except Nigeria's military and security agencies that controls all levers and monopoly of violence. Stop spewing nonsense. We all know it's the SANDF that is a shadow of its former self and it's still failing.
In Nigeria when we elect a President he becomes the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria vested with constitutional authority. and yet BH over runs your country.... Untill then know your role and shut your mouth |

Exnavyboy62: I just heard the South African Navy chief side of the story. True, true wetin Mr Ramaphosa do no good at all ooo. How can the SANDF ask Mr Ramaphosa for "Minister of Defence" but he gave them "Minister of Refreshment". Now the Ms Modise has already used 75% of the defence budget to fly to Russia to cheers and drink wine and also to buy make up kits and clothes. Now the meagre leftover funds for the SANDF can only cover for; 1MMIPV per year for the S.A Navy, maintenance of 5 Atlas oryx Helicopter per year for the Air Force and upgrades of 10 Ratel IFV per year for the Army.
Moral lesson : Don't put a woman as your Defence Minister next time especially when she has no military experience.
Where are my other Comrades of Vawulence, over to you another ignorant and useless muppet that has no idea what his talking about. FYI Thandi Modise is a military veteran with actual combat experience and training.... Next time keep your mouth shut before spewing your ret@rdedness on this thread FYI the SANDF might have its problems but at least it hasn't been dominated and over run by rag tag rebel groups in its own country like the Nigerian defence force. |

MMIPV in exercise points to possible non-availability of other platforms.
Heitman maintains all the services “have been reduced to ‘third world’ forces typical of the 60s and 70s, with unserviceable equipment, a large bureaucracy and a focus on everything but operational readiness” maybe read the article in its fullest since we are being compared to first world countries lije Germany ... Not brown water navies with 0 Frigates and subs |

Faithful007: And the crimes are only being committed by the illegal immigrants?
I never knew all SA men are innocent monks who keep the ten commandments judiciously. My bru these crimes specifically are being committed by illegal immigrants since the border fence borders these farms and its very easy to see where wires are cut and out of which camps livestock is stolen....please use a little logic next time you muppet Also these photos and the description of the operation was posted by the SANDF...
