Burruchaga71: Peter MBA never see anything. What has Peter Mbah done to you The man is trying hard to restore order in Enugu state while ignoramuses like you are busy trying to sabotage his efforts! God Almighty will not allow forces of backwardness and disorderliness destroy Mbah's noble plans for Enugu state. The demolitions and restructuring he is doing is in order because our people have formed the habits of flagrantly disobeying laws on building construction and siting illegal structures in the state, someone needs to take drastic measures to restore things and that's what the governor is doing. Law and order must be enthroned not only in Enugu state but the entire southeast. |

jorion: Why would you go through the struggles of getting a high paying JOB just so you can be with A WOMAN
I just don't understand Nigerian men...
Do you know the stress that comes with a high paying job??
Are you willing to sacrifice your mental, physical, psychological and spritual health, and time doing a stressful job just so you can settle down with a woman who wouldn't give a F about you if you didn't have the money
THINK ABOUT YOUR LIFE Thank you my brother. The thing just tire me no be small! In this time and age when men and women now have equal opportunities in virtually all sectors, they still tell the man to get a high paying job just so he can marry a woman! Rationalizing the above is even enough to discourage any smart-thinking guy from venturing into such slavery. If it were the time men had the upper hand at the labor market, it'll be a different kettle of fish, but now? No no |

Zeebuy: The SE actually has the lowest maternal mortality rates in Nigeria, and they lead in most health-care related stats. They even have the highest number of healthcare-related graduates. A simple Google search would've showed you this They have healthcare graduates who practice in other regions of Nigeria due to general negligence of healthcare in the region. That stat you're relying on is very debatable because I know for a fact that mortality rate in the southeast is quite high and cannot be said to be better than what obtains in other regions. |

Gobdddd: But, I am still wondering how they in the South East are doing it. Despite that they have the lowest health facility, yet, they have the lowest mortality rate in the country.
God have already blessed those in the SE You must be living in fool's paradise to believe that the SE has the least mortality rate! Such deception is the reason why there's so much negligence to healthcare in the region. |

My problem is that when such ladies grow old and undesirable in their father's houses they'll still find a way to blame men for their woes.

Romance › Re: The Reason Many Young Men Are Afraid Of Getting Married... by Jman06(m): 5:41pm On Sep 17, 2024 |
Solcampbell: I know, bro. And that's what why I'm considering having a kid while in school before getting married. Note, I'm more fascinated in having a child than getting married now A son or a daughter would really serve a big motivation to strive harder to achieve my goals.
I find the idea of waiting after seven years to have a kid quite uncomfortable
So long as the mother of the child have something's doing, no matter how little. I'll be able to contributed my own quota no doubt.
After graduation, we could get married. Afterall, one of the reasons why I'm going back to study medicine is to create a brighter future for the family that would come from me.
The dilemma is that I don't even have a girlfriend whom I should have developed a meaningful relationship with. I don't even have any female friends because I'm deeply introverted. It'll be easier to find a pin in an haystack than finding a Nigerian lady who would agree to that plan of yours. I wish you good luck in your search sha |
Romance › Re: The Reason Many Young Men Are Afraid Of Getting Married... by Jman06(m): 10:28am On Sep 17, 2024 |
Solcampbell: Bro, how do I go about this?
I'll be 30 next year and I just got admission to study medicine and surgery in a Fed. University after completing my studies some five years ago.
That means I'll be a doctor in the next seven years, all things been equal, (in the absence of strikes and all). I'll be around 37 years at the time.
Since the course is very demanding and don't require distractions and also couple with the fact that I'm not that financially bouyant. Also considering the kind of young ladies we have today, it's difficult to find a lady whose understanding and supportive. And I need all the focus and attention I could get while pursuing my dream. Initially I've been thinking of getting married in my level two or three, but I'm now begining to have serious second thoughts and postpone marriage till I finish my program.
Buuuutttt! I really love children!
And I think seven years is too long a wait to have my own.
Even though na just one pikin i get for now from now till when i graduate, I swear e go sweet me die!
Infact my child will give me more motivation to continue to push harder no matter the obstacles towards the realisation of my dreams, since I'm doing the family I'll raise in the future.
But the problem is I don't even have a girlfriend. Infact, I'm still a virgin.
I live in a very conservative society ( core north). You can't just be moving around or dating a girl or sleeping with her. You must marry her first.
As the matter be like this, I no get money for marriage talk more of getting stuck with a lady whose not working or running a business, a lady who will sit at home waiting for the man to fulfil all her financial needs, even though na Maggi she wan buy. ( Most northern women are like this)
But I can definitely take care of one or two kids while I continue schooling. I have a side hustle ( freelance writing). It is from this hustle that I've been saving for my studies and I believe from it I can still provide for my kid from now till the next seven years.
Abeg Boss, you know where I fit find such ladies or how I can be connected to such ladies that her and her parents can agree to such an arrangement even though she lives in another state in the south? I"m a man that keeps to my word and I'll definitely not abandon my responsibilities to her.
Infact, if i get a really good lady that really did a good job in raising my kid , I wouldn't hesitate to marry her after graduation from med. school
PS. I'm not an Hausa man, I'm an Edo Muslim who's very liberal. If you know what's good for you, perish that marriage thought for now and concentrate on your studies. The pressure in medical school in Nigeria is not something you can combine with having a family, unless you want to get booted out of medical school. You can marry and have your kids when you graduate |
Health › Re: Slump & Die Syndrome: Canada-based Nigerian Medical Doctor Speaks Out (Video) by Jman06(m): 8:02am On Sep 17, 2024 |
While I agree that there is poor regulatory system in Nigeria, which is not only pertinent to NAFDAC but other regulatory agencies in the country, I must say that this so called doctor missed the real issues that have led to the slumping and dying menace.
The issue has to do majorly with POOR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND HEALTH-SEEKING ATTITUDE OF NIGERIANS. Many Nigerians walk around with rooftop blood pressures and would not seek proper medical care until their hearts can no longer cope.
Everybody should prevail on governments at all levels to get our healthcare system working! Also, Nigerians need to imbibe the habit of seeking healthcare from our trained healthcare professionals and not indulge in going to quack roadside patent medicine dealers for self medication. |

SlavaUkraini: We can continue to talk about change starting with the people all year long....
But until Laws are enacted to deal with Criminals in all segment of society, nothing will change.
The Saint that you voted for will be corrupted as soon as he gets to office because there are no laws to hold him accountable for stealing and embezzlement.
Corruption in China is highly frowned upon... Many have died
3 - 4 Former Presidents of South Korea have been jailed for corruption...
Drug Smuggling in Indonesia attracts the death penalty....
Drug Smuggling in Saudi Arabia is highly frowned upon.... Many have died
The list goes on...
So what are we doing in Nigeria... ?
Just Talk and little action.
Criminals are later released as soon as they call their "Chairman"
All this nonsense must stop if Nigeria must move forward. You're right in your submission. Things really need to change in this country. I think in many cases, the laws are there but are not being thoroughly enforced. |

SlavaUkraini: Why won't he steal when politicians are stealing at both federal and state level ?
Everybody wants to live large and drive fancy cars
And if possible travel to China and the UK on a new private jet like Jagaban.
As long as the masses keep hearing stories and tales about corrupt politicians, embezzlement and looting, nothing will work in this country.
Nobody be fool for this country...
Until our politicians change and enact laws that Terminates the life of anyone caught stealing either in government or private sector, nothing will work in this country.
Stealing, embezzlement and looting is handled with kid gloves in Nigeria, that is why it will forever continue. It makes no sense to always use the politicians as justification for corruption and evil among Nigerians! Doing so would only keep us in a vicious cycle of corruption. The masses need to purge themselves of corruption so they can have the moral grounds to call the politicians to order! |

WINDSOW: Genuine Ministers of God are no superhumans. They also suffer circumstances that question their faith and sometimes make them feel like throwing the trowel. Howbeit, we were encouraged to be strong even in turbulent times. May God comfort him and his followers in Jesus name.
It is well! But nowadays, these same ministers of God don't teach their followers that turbulent times, trials and difficulties are inevitable parts of life. Instead, they take advantage of other people's tribulations to enrich themselves in the name of miracles. Yet, when they face their own tribulations they remember to tell us that tribulations are phases of life. This is why I don't blame posters here who are calling him out for not miraculously raising his own wife from death. |

I think the lack of an extended family structure contributes to the psychopathic nature of white people! One of the consequences of lack of communal living. To the f00ls who are always quick to remind a bachelor of how he'll suffer in old age if unmarried and without kids, hope y'all can now see your lives Being married as a guy is not a guarantee of love and care from your family when you're old! Women have their way of turning your family against you thereby leaving you lonely and miserable at old age regardless how much you laboured to provide for them before getting old. Just imagine what this man has faced in the hands of his own family. Many men going through this similar experience are even too ashamed to report to anyone, so they mostly resign to fate and suffer in silence. |
