If you know any pocket-friendly food, don't even mention it here because our greedy farmers would increase the price the next day if you do. |
If the north couldn't riot for the whole eight miserable years Buhari was in power, then they shouldn't riot now! Bandits and Bokoharam were on killing spree in most northern states, yet they didn't riot. Only on few occasions did a few individuals whose selfish interests were not met go on unusual peaceful 'protests'! This is not to deny the fact that Nigerians are currently going through economic hardship but we must be careful not to play into the hands of those who want to take advantage of the riot in the north to hijack and return power to the region that think Nigeria's leadership is their birthrights. What is happening in the north is not what we bargained for at the onset of the protest. On this note, those who are genuine protesters must retreat at this point so that we can identify those who are on a mission for state capture and deal with them accordingly. @TonyeBaccanista and co must understand that those of us calling for the genuine protesters to call off the protest know that what's happening up north is entirely different from the intentions of peaceful protesters in other regions. As hard as things may be at the moment, we do not sincerely need a military junta in this country anymore. Besides, from what I now know about Tinubu's policies, I believe that with hard work and sincerity of purpose, the current hardship would not tarry. All that's needed is for government to make conscious efforts towards ameliorating the effects of the economic policies while remaining focused on what the policies intend to achieve. |
Kobojunkieee:You're the real waste here |
Vinnie2000:They thought that Tinubu would have died by now so that Shettima would take over. So, they're clearly disappointed that the man is still waxing stronger. |
Kobojunkieee:You're clearly too daft to see the difference between the "EndSARS" protest and the current call for military takeover of power in the country. During "EndSARS" protest, the few northerners that participated didn't go haywire like they're doing today! Every reasonable person now understand that there's a clandestine plot somewhere for the northern oligarchs to hijack power by taking advantage of the current protest. Only f00ls can't see the handwriting on the wall |
Kobojunkieee:Stop typing gibberish as usual. You're not in Nigeria and do not understand Nigerian politics! What is happening in the north today has gone beyond protests. It is now riot that has gone to the point of killing and burning down people's houses and businesses. They now call for one of them in the military to strike and take over! Same people that didn't protest throughout Buhari's miserable 8years in office. It's hypocritical how they suddenly found their voices! |
The turn the protest is taking is dangerous and has alot of hipocrisy all over it. If you're a southerner and can think properly, you should know the motive of some of these "rioters" from the other side of the country already. Tinubu, on the other hand, should take all the steps to alleviate the current hardship by ensuring that the cost of essential goods like foodstuffs are reduced drastically. Even if it means going all out to enforce the reductions with security agents, so be it. |
Another victim of poor healthcare system and health-seeking attitude! The lady may have had roof-top blood pressure for long without medical checkups. When the heart could no longer carry the burden, it simply packed up. This pattern of death has become so common in our clime. |
If there's good governance in Nigeria, there won't be need for Nigerians to flood the UK and other Western societies in search of livelihoods. The world must join in this protest to end the mess we call governance in Nigeria. #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria |
Social media needs to be deployed in this protest to give it worldwide publicity. #EndBadGovernance #HungerDey |
benuejosh:You're a conscienceless hypocrite! This protest has little or nothing to do with those that lost election. It's about hardship in the country! Tinubu and Buhari made a mess of our economy with their poorly thought-out policies. That's the genesis of the current sufferings in the country! Don't blame it on Jonathan and Obasanjo because Nigerians were not suffering this much when the duo were in power. Check out the exchange rate of naira to dollar today, almost #2000 for a dollar! Nigerian currency is currently one of the worst in Africa and the world, yet your hypocritical self is shifting blames to Jonathan instead of laying on the culprit, Tinubu. People like you who fail to speak the truth to power are the reasons Nigeria has continued to degenerate! Shame on you!!! |
Nigerians are angry o! The hunger is affecting everybody! So much hunger and anger due to poor economic decisions by Buhari and Tinubu's government. Revolution is here o |
Magicalsineros:That's not a problem |
windvane:Those hospitals we perceive as "big" don't employ qualified professionals! Go to their Pharmacies, you'll not see licensed Pharmacists there, likewise you'll not see licensed medical lab scientists! Many of them don't even employ specialist doctors to handle serious medical conditions! They rely on quacks just so they don't pay much. You'll see the MD and his family living flamboyant lifestyles at the expense of unsuspecting patients. It's too bad! I've continually stated it here that there's urgent need for a complete overhaul of the regulatory and leadership frameworks of our healthcare system if we desire to have a functional system. |
Magicalsineros:Yes of course. The problem comes when such woman wants to prevent him from using his money to acquire other women. |
Men have no business helping you without your body! Since you have clearly admonished women to stay away from men who don't have money, why should men who have money help you without you offering your body in return? As Father Christmas or what? I don't expect you to see the connection though |
Too bad! Please what on earth made Tinubu to float the naira at this stage of our economic development ![]() "Fixed exchange rates work well for growing economies that do not have a stable monetary policy. Fixed exchange rates help bring stability to a country's economy and attract foreign investment. Floating exchange rates work better for countries that already have a stable and effective monetary policy" |
Michella25:Years of negligence of their health and health sector is leading Nigerians to early death. |
Jokerman:It is greediness that's the problem of private business owners in Nigeria. If you make profit of say 20k daily for 26days, you'll have 520k. If you pay your sales boy 70k and maybe spend extra 100k for other monthly costs and reinvest 100k, you'll have 250k left. Mind you, I am just being modest with figures here because I know that many businesses generate more profits than I stated above. But they all want to live in opulence while their employees suffer like slaves! |
SpaceX:Not for conservative northerners. Feminism and late marriages by women can only control southern population but not for the northerners. |
Happy birthday to you, sir! You have consistently shown your sincerity of purpose towards selflessly serving Nigeria, and I pray God Almighty would open the eyes of Nigerians to see what they'll miss if they fail to elect you president in 2027. This is the best way to celebrate birthdays! |
OnyeAshuaUru:He's doing much better than Ugwuanyi his predecessor! In just one year, Peter Mbah has done much more than Ugwuanyi's 8years. The pace he's going with shows a man with a clear blueprints for development. Kiss the truth! |
This judgement is in order. There was no reason to impeach him in the first place. Obaseki should have allowed him to test his popularity during the PDP primaries |
This drug should be subsidized and made available to Nigerians as quickly as possible! More Nigerians are living with HIV than we know |
They were appointed as second class emirs |
Everybody wan buy Benz! That's why Nigeria has become the evil center of the world! No regards for societal wellbeing! It's all about chase for riches! Nigeria needs urgent divine intervention to help change people's mindset about wealth |
Politicians must learn to stop taking critical decisions just for the spur of the moment! Just because of supremacy battle between Wike and Fubara, the bigoted Fagbemi allowed himself as a tool to take some useless court decision that may come back to fight him in the near future. "Learned Colleague" indeed! |
Nigeria's agric sector has proven to be useless ever since the ban on food importation, so killing it is of no consequences ![]() Every Nigerian farmer wan buy Benz |
anonimi:Chinese farmers were not as greedy and evil as Nigerian farmers! Besides, importation can go hand-in-hand with local production until self sufficiency in local production is achieved. |
anonimi:competition with the local farmers would cause both sides to bring down prices! The greedy local farmers are increasing prices of foodstuffs unnecessarily, even when they're not significantly impacted by forex or fuel cost. Even gari producers in my village who don't need forex sell at exorbitant prices! It is like that with many other farmers in the country! |
NiRfreak:You see how foolish you are Incurable foooool!Sensible people who read my post with intact brain cells understood the distinction I gave, only brainless things like yourself didn't. My last response to a pathological foooool. |
