No need to rewrite IELTS gets locked in at AOR so as long as you submit before the expiration date, you should be safe. See below from CIC website "How long language test results are valid for Your test results must be less than two years old when you submit your application for permanent residence. If you’ve been invited to apply for permanent residence Check that your language test results will still be valid when you plan to apply. If you haven’t been invited to apply for permanent residence You may want to make sure your results are valid for the rest of the time you’ll be in the pool. If your results will expire before you can apply, you should: be tested again or apply before your test results expire or decline the invitation and go back into the pool to be considered in the future If you apply for permanent residence with language test results that have expired, we’ll refuse your application." Here's my timeline guys IELTS – September 29, 2018 ECA- January 22, 2019 CRS – 481 ITA- January 23 AOR – February 8 2019 MEP/BIL - March 25 2019 S I L E N C E I called several times and I kept getting the same response, criminality passed, eligibility and security not started. Ghost update 1 – July 13 ADR – July 15 (Schedule A) Ghost update 2 – July 20 PPR – July 22 (exactly 6 months from ITA) VO - Ottawa IELTS – 9, 9, 8, 7.5 (LRSW) I wrote this once and maxed out and I am so grateful because I only started preparing for it 2 days before the exam. As there was no time, I only used the road to IELTS that British Council provided to study for listening and reading, in fact, the first practice section I worked on I got only 50%! Anyways, I studied my mistakes (one word where they asked for three, spelling inconsistencies, etc) and worked on fixing them and by the second day when I did the exam samples I had 38 & 39 over 40. For writing I did not practice at all because by the time I got to it, it was 12:01 am on the day of the exam. I watched about 5 videos but 3 were especially helpful. Two liz videos where she talks about writing the first paragraph and writing the last paragraph of task 2 essays – I followed her advice to the T. Also, there’s one jay Video where he talks about writing the body paragraphs and how to separate your points – I followed his advice too. In addition to the videos for writing, I spent about one-hour reading level 9 essays just to see what excellence looked like and I modeled my essay after the samples I read. Please, I’ll personally advice that if you can please practice writing, I didn’t and on the exam day I almost cried. I started with task one, took 40 mins to finish it and had only 20 mins to rush through task 2 – I barely finished and did not proofread it. If I had practiced at all, I’d have known my strengths and weaknesses and worked to fix them, don’t be like me. Also, there’s one blogpost I read somewhere about having 5 paragraphs for task one – Introduction, question 1, question 2, question 3, and closing paragraph – that's how I modeled my letter. I went to bed by 3am and woke up by 6 am to get to my center; abeg, don’t be like me. ECA- WES It seems like all the problems I missed in IELTS were waiting for me here – Unilag connived with WES to show me pepper, but my God is greater them. This took 6 months!! I also evaluated my first degree from OAU using etx.ng and surprisingly, they came through after about 5 weeks. Imagine a story where the etx.ng guys are the good guys. Medicals- IOM- 04/02/2019 Took the entire day, I was there from 9am until 4pm – stressed me out. PCC - 5k I used inspector Moshood, and the whole thing took about one hour POF Originally uploaded my Tbills investment certificate. It matured in March, so I converted it to USD, put in my dom account and sent them a letter from the bank showing my balance. Passport Studio 24 Allen The Wait Mannn, this was something else. I caved in and ordered GCMS notes on June 18 and it was delivered July 18 but by then I had already gotten a ghost update and an ADR so I didn’t really care. I also used the wait time to write my CBAP exam so all in all, I don’t count it as time wasted I want to end this by saying a VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone on this thread, everything I used to put my application together I learnt from here and crosschecked on the CIC website. May the good Lord meet each and every one of you at your different points of need; hold on to Him tightly – He neither sleeps nor slumbers, and he is never late. jmnsimone: 68 Likes 10 Shares |

It should actually be close to 40k When I did my matriculation in OAU, we were 5k+ getting matriculated. Multiply that by 4, add extra years, 5-year students, 6-year students, masters and Ph.D. students, diploma students etc. And Benin is a bigger city than Ife so it'll probably have more students. Sorry about your remark and as for WES, you may need to call them. It takes them about 3-5 days to acknowledge verification, if they've not acknowledged it by now, it means they did not receive it and your school will have to send your verification again. jazzy: |
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by jmnsimone(f): 9:56am On Mar 08, 2019 |
They won't send it to your school until they get your certificate. So you're just about to enter the verification stage, after which they'll start the real processing - that's when you start counting 20 days. What you should do now is to get your school contact on standby for the email, if you're lucky and everything goes smoothly, in 5-6 weeks your ECA will be ready. amoskitto: |

Same thing happened to me - send them a strongly worded email asking why they're canceling an exam you already paid for. They'll reconfirm your date and send you a receipt. These people are still stuck in the 1980s and almost everything has to be manually confirmed. FaskRolce: 3 Likes |

US citizens do not have the right to live/reside in Canada without a visa, they can only visit and stay for a maximum of 6 months at a stretch. Please note that during this time, the kids may not be able to go to school or access free health care and other government benefits. If your friend's plan is for her kids to visit from time to time then they don't need to be added to her application but if she's planning to move with them, they'll need visas majjj: 5 Likes |

No, it's not. You can create a profile and not be in the pool (useless but possible). It's only when you submit the profile that you get in the pool. bunmioluwa: 2 Likes 1 Share |

There's a chat icon on their website, use it to chat them up and they'll give you an update. You can also send emails and they'll reply. But please note that their service is quite slow, it took them 5 weeks to get my transcript ready. Same OAU Saintee2009: |

I've looked through your profile and it says you're not married yet, why not apply as "single" and then add your fiance post AOR? it's better than learning French or doing masters. Plus, 443 is not a bad score at all so if you're already married or have set a close date then enter the pool with it first before looking for other ways to boost your profile - you never know, you may get ITA with that score (all things being equal, you actually stand a good chance). Before going for the bigger options, its better to explore and exhaust the smaller, easier ones. bigwizzy001: 2 Likes |

Sorry to butt in but this is such a terrible take, and if I were him I'd ignore you too. You "got" his number meaning he didn't give it to you and doesn't know you but instead of calling and introducing yourself, then asking for the favor you needed you sent WhatsApp messages. Can you imagine a stranger sending you Whatsapp messages asking for a favor e.g money? (extreme example but same difference) I'm going to assume that every one of us on this journey is reasonably mature and we understand the basic etiquettes of communication, so why do we throw it out when we log on here? I think all of us need to realize that every answer we see or get here comes from the benevolence of the heart of the sharer no one owes us anything. Once we recognize this, maybe we'll be kinder to each other, and more grateful for the abundance of information available on these threads Anyways congratulations on acing IELTS, I hope the rest of your PR journey is smooth and uneventful. I used etx, it took them five weeks to process and send out the transcript and I paid 22k. I also had to tip someone when it was time for verification and he got it done same day - message me for his number when you get to this stage. Onomejohanna: 1 Like |

Please does anyone have a sure connect for unilag verification? It's been 3 weeks since they acknowledged receipt but yet they've refused to reply. And please please if you've not started your ECA and you have a Nigerian degree don't use WES, those people are as irresponsible and inefficient as Naija government offices, maybe even worse and I'm not exaggerating! Been on this since July. 1 Like |
