Hi Guys,

I personally felt things would improve with the Nigerian police but apparently things are getting worse daily.
I have been threatened and intimidated severally myself at gun point and only I can explain how fearful I was that night.

At gun point, I was told to move away from the scene simply because I challenged the logicality of what the police did to the innocent and helpless commuter bus driver.

It was at Ojota and a police man had appeared in the bus magically. The driver was at the designated bus stop without any sign saying otherwise. He was about closing the door when I suppose the police man entered and barking at the driver to go and park at their spot... I was amazed.

We the passengers were trying to ask him what happened to have warranted him wanting to arrest us but he gave no explanation.

We were half way to our destination and all they felt was honourable was to order all of us (both young and old) to get down from the bus and find our way. I had moved closer and said these words: "Sir, can you kindly tell me what happened and what was the offence of this gentle man".

He became irritated and started asking me who I was... Demanded my ID and pointed the gun at me to disappear. I was dazed.

On many occasions have I being sprayed pepper spray in the eyes in a commuter bus (Lord I need my vehicle).

This morning, I read how a young man who was a banker with FCMB was reportedly shot dead by the accounts of eye witness by the police at Gombe state.

I also remember how an on-line friend of mine claimed he was shot at Ikorodu for refusing to give the police N100.

These are the things I feel we should do if we do not want to find ourselves in a deadly situation with our police men. God saves us.

1) Do not argue with the police.

2) Obey all instructions given by the police.

3) Do not over-speed through road blocks.

4) Compromise on the bribe if asked.

5) Send text messages immediately if arrested.

6) Always have an identification card.

7) Lastly, have lawyer friends.

Brown ideye is in form so I like that he was invited.

I still dont understand why we havent picked a permanent coach yet. If Amokachi is your guy then make him permanent and stop wasting time.

I suggest Pinnick step up and name a coach not named Keshi.

it seems you dont understand the logic.. they are waiting for the election to come by and end.. there plan is to go for a foreign coach but they need govt assurance over his salary.. in the absence of non, they will stick to indigenous coach..

Me think Amokachi should be left to continue as super Eagles coach.

me think he is better off as an assistant to a world class coach.. (not keshi oo)..

True, we all want the insurgence eradicated but not in lies. I'd say Nairaland is presently responsible even though the thread on FP says 'reported'. The Mods and the Super Mods should always investigate articles/sources before pushing them to the FP. The polity is well heated already and adding to the heat would be cruel.

Romance / Re: Relationship Between AA And SS by jobsat34(m): 3:23pm On Mar 02, 2015
NLSince:
Hey Guys,

I'm in a fix right now. I created this account to seek advice about my current situation. I have seen some very good and some not-so-good advice being dished out here. I really hope I get more of the former.

So there's this lady who I'm interested in dating. infact, I was about to ask her out yesterday when one thing led to another and she told me she was SS.

Here's a little background to this:
1. I consider myself a good guy. I'm not a player and I can't date you if I don't see us heading to the aisle. I have been in relationships before which have ended but I don't date with the intention of ending it.
2. Because of Number 1, I don't just ask out anyone. I start by being friends and then if I see a future, I'll then take it forward else we mutually friendzone ourselves. I'm different, Bite me.
3. This Lady ticks most of the boxes I think is important. And I actually believe(d) that this would be my Last Bus stop. However, I don't want to get a wife who'll leave me soon.
4. I'm AA

I'll be grateful if you guys help me with answers to this:
a) Should I go on with this? or should I free her? or go against everything I believe in and break off the relationship once her next crises comes. (OMG, that's brutal. I'm cringing just writing that)
b) I know if we have kids, they'll be AS. What chances of survival does she have? at least to get up until 70. She's 25 right now.

Searching for a wife is hard. I really don't want to lose a good one (If I don't have to) and start searching again.

cc: MizmyColi, Kachisbarbie, Xiadnat, PickaBeau1, MatthewBriggs

one thing i know for sure (especially when a female Sickle cell warrior is over the age of 20) is, their survival rate at first labour is very low, but the moment she survive it, the risk becomes lower..
like the popular sayings, there is nothing God cannot do...

There is a sign of change with the NFF. With the way they are handling the under age teams ie. the U17, the flying eagles and the dream team, it shows our fire brigade approach days are behind us.

Also, employing a new coach is not ideal for the kind of transformation taking place in our football. The last games of Coach Keshi showed our team can perform. With the young home based players and our age grade teams. We should approach a progressive system. Coach Keshi should handle the World Cup qualifiers. Siasia should be next in line, then Manu Garba, then Amunike.

These are good coaches who can take us to great heights.

i believe you are right but what i doubt most in our local coaches is their tactical/technical abilities... i believe this can be solved with adequate refresher courses for the coaches (while the coaches also must not always wait on the NFF for this) and a sound technical dept in the NFF to be headed by a tested and trusted manager..
as for the age grade competition, i believe yu are right on that. i cant wait to see their progression into the main senior team..
