mostob: He got injured early in the Aston Villa match but had to play on because there's no replacement. You mean Fulham? If he did continue then I think that's the reason it was aggravated. But then, if Arteta insists for him to complete the match instead of subbing in Lokonga, it means even Arteta was wary of Lokonga physicality and how he'll fare in that match be that. |

Shegzdave: Thats the most suprising thing cause they didn’t show any form of Injury on the pitch asides Odegaard and Ramsdale... I just hope what happened last season as a result of Partey injury won’t happen again considering that the key players in the midfield are out. The only person I'm afraid in that DM role is Lokonga else I wouldn't be too afraid with that lineup. So yeah, what happened last season because of injury and how it derailed from there won't happen I believe. We're more mature and more compact than last season. And if you notice most of my post match analysis these season, you'll notice arsenal isn't really centred around Partey unlike last season. This season we're more of the collective and that's just the advantage and belief I have going into Sunday's match |

After I don banter My man united friends.. omo, lemme just lay low till after Sunday cause I’ll not be confident watching the match on Sunday. Lol, the worst part is that these guys will play 90mins finish, clap with the fans after a win, hug themselves after match and you'll think all is well, then boom, you'll wake up the next morning to the news that this guy is injured. You'll be wondering how. Aside Odegaard and Ramsdale, the others no even show any signs say dem get injury during the match. Surprised about Partey own, Zinchenko own, Elneny own and now a White. I'm just keeping open mind about Sunday game as I dey like this. Good thing be say Attack and defence (aside Turner) they give me hope for that formation. Na just Midfield I dey fear small |

ObaIgwe1: Injury Update from Arteta:
‘[Aaron] Ramsdale and [Martin] Odegaard have been assessed and we will see more tomorrow.
‘Hopefully they’ll be available to train with the team. Alex [Zinchenko] missed two games and has not been able to train with team yet.
‘For Mo [Elneny], we are talking months. With Thomas [Partey], we are hopefully talking weeks and even shorter than that. We have tried to manage him. A lot has happened since he’s joined.
‘We are trying the possible way to find reasons for that. Unfortunately his body and mind are too difficult to und to put finger on to identify one factor. Attitude is there. He’s really disappointed and wants to get back.’
Pressed on whether he felt he had a squad able to cope with the demands of challenging on four fronts, he added: ‘We had a lot of things still to do with squad. Look at the departures compared to what we’ve recruited. Naahhh... This news isn't looking good one bit |

It's even funny thinking about it sef. 1.. Arsenal went with 20m in June, when Partey and Elneny was available. 2.. Aston Villa rejected it and asked for nothing less than 40m 3.. Arsenal now desperate in August due to Partey and Elneny injury still placed an opening bid of 20m AGAIN that was initially rejectedI mean, let's make it make sense. If this is true, arsenal fans suppose lynch Edu for playing with our head |

Spy360: It's not everything that is open to public consumption. Even me self doubted the rumours seriously.
Do you know that most transfer are initiated with bids from agents and not the club's themselves which causes some of those rumours we hear.
As in, someone would go to a club and place a bid for a player on behalf of any club, if the bid is accepted they take it to the club they wish to represent for activation. Tbh, all these ones you're saying it's just you trying to wriggle your way out. No how arsenal will bid an official bid of 20m for Luiz, Aston Villa will reject it and request for at least 40m, and one of Fabrizio Romano, David Orstein or Kayak Kayna would not have any idea of it or report it even if na secret cult. No way!!!!! Never!!! |

mostob: Manchester United are really pumped up right now and our perfect start to the season is at risk. With Partey, Mo and Ode probably out, I can only suggest two different options.
Xhaka partnering Sambi with Zinch doing the inverted midfield role. Xhaka will be free to join ESR up top.
OR
White, Xhaka and ESR in Midfield. White dropping to defence while Zinch and Tomi overlap. XHAKA will drop back to Midfield.
One thing is sure, our attack should be able to trouble their defence.
As for their Midfield, they may likely go with Casemiro,Eriksen and Bruno which I think will work in our favor as the latter two are not press resistant. Is Zinchenko available sef?? I didn't even see him either in the squad or at the stands. Hope say him never get setback |

ObaIgwe1: I might be wrong but something tells me the plan before hand is to get Luiz for free from next season. Luiz refused to sign an extension with Villa, while Arsenal extended Elneny contract by a year.... I suspect the combined injury of Partey and Elneny at the same time forced them to wanna bring Luiz early but it didn't work.
If my thinking is right, Arsenal will let Elneny go at the end of this season and get Luiz on the free and then shake their ass on Villa.
It will be tough, but I pray we survive the season.... I really want us beat Man U or at least get a draw.
My wish: make Top 4 and win The Europa thing once and for all, cos I don't want us play it again. I don't think Douglas Luiz was the plan if not we would have gone for him immediately we heard of Elneny long term injury instead of the deadline day scramble we were doing for him. I feel it's Danilo of Palmeiras cos immediately we heard the unfortunate injury news, he was the first point of call. In fact, we only went back for Luiz when it dawned on us Palmeiras weren't open to releasing him till at least January. If we had went for Luis immediately, maybe by now he'll have been a gooner. And yes, while he will be free next season, Juventus and Athletico Madrid are even in the fore front before arsenal, so it's not as if we even had advantage over him sef. I just hope we scale through and that Sambi really improves in that role. And hopefully most of our players with slight injuries come back quickly. And yes we need to win that Europa. Europa and top4 is the goal |

mostob: Yea Elneny is Partey's deputy but his contract is up at the end of the season so getting his replacement earlier is not bad.
As for Saka's deputy, I'm not worried about that especially with Nelson staying and Marquinho in the squad though another option would have been better. I feel we planned to get Danilo of Palmeiras at either Jan or next summer but injury to Elneny scuppered the plan. Moreover I thought Elneny's contract is up next season as he signed a 1-year extension As for Saka deputy, we don't know how Marquinhos will play yet. I can't use the u-21 to judge him at all. Except if he shines in Europa will I confidently say Marquinhos is his deputy. As for Nelson, Una wey still dey keep hope for that guy dey try sha. He hasn't impressed me yet one bit, so I dunno how he'll be a viable Saka replacement. Is he even Left footed sef?. Maybe if Jesus can play there, but he himself isn't even left footed |

iamoyindamola: Arteta and Edu repeated the same mistake they made in January Releasing players without replacement and we badly need squad depth We have Europa and domestic cup competitions these our line up can't be playing all games plus our midfield is currently limited
This is not fair at all they like taking stupid risk playing with our emotions My question is who'll play DM for us in Europa? Obviously it can't be Sambi or Xhaka cos of their EPL engagements. Well, make I see wetin Arteta get on his sleeves You see this our team, e just be like say na... (I no wan use the word curse sha) But it's just annoying. Anytime we're close, we'll always lack that one department or depth that will always always make us fall short During last years of Henry and post Henry time it was defence and GK. Roland17: After last season, I think we all agreed we needed another midfielder; an experienced one with quality at that. I kept harping on the need for that 2nd midfielder. It is quite disappointing, especially when you consider Partey's absence and a lack of another quality midfielder cost us top 4 last season. Now, we are without Partey, Elneny is also out and I am hearing Ramsdale is fighting to stay up.
The thing with Partey and his injuries is that they are usually muscular and he requires a lot of time and patience to fully recover. Whenever we rush Partey back, it has always back fired with serious consequences...If he recovers fully he typically returns like he was not gone. I feel like many are getting carried away by Xhaka. Personally, I feel like we are being short changed of a better CM when he plays that role. I am careful not be sound pessimistic because the guys have started very well and Arteta has managed our last 3 games very very well.
All in all, my focus is on United. I don't know how they intended to manage Partey this season so that he won't go to injury and how effective Elneny will be for us as Partey's cover when he's being managed. Whatever plan they had, safe to say it has backfired and backfired spectacularly. The hope is now on Sambi to give us 3 points. Xhaka have improved but this coming weeks will be a huge test for Xhaka and Sambi. . Unto Man u tho |

iamoyindamola: There's nothing in that man u team Our full squad will flog them scatter But the midfield is the issue if we are going to play lonkonga and if odegaard is injured I wish xhaka and zinny combine with odegaard upfront Deadline transfer pain me I won't lie, we are on the right path bar these recent injuries I hope it won't be a major set back
But honestly edu and arteta always fvck up at the wrong timing Tbh, I wouldn't have flinched if our squad was full but with the kind of injury here and there, Omo I'm less optimistic. No Partey, no Elneny. Doubts are Zinchenko, Ramsdale and Odegaard. So, who wan come play for us. There's a reason I was saying Midfield is key cos any team that finally dominate the other Will have more chances of winning. With probably Odegaard and Zinchenko a doubt, how we wan take hold Midfield especially if Casemiro starts and initiates attack from deep(he did that effortlessly ystdy during his 2nd half introduction). Omo, if Ramsdale no dey, na Turner wey no dey inspire confidence go keep? The only thing going for us is our strong attack and defence but even the defence will crack without a good confident keeper and a dominated Midfield while the attack will crack if our Midfield isn't pushing. Wetin I dey wait for na Arteta's press conference on our injury update today. Surprisingly, missing out on Luiz no even too dey vex me cos I expected it with the way dem dash Elneny one year contract plus the way they were using him in preseason. I just knew no hope of us getting any more DM and I zeroed my mind |
