Pochettino finally sees the obvious. Boehly thank you for hijacking him and turning our attention to Trossard. On behalf of Arsenal fans, we say thank you |

timbros: Fair enough.
But you know that when we talk of defenders, full backs are part of it. In today's setup, full backs play a major role in a team's attack, although they are defenders.
In a club like Chelsea where our first choice full backs are part time doctors, don't you think replacing/upgrading them should be a priority? Okay, Yeah, real truth here especially for the Lb. I believe you guys needs a Lb more than a RB cos I don't know who's replacing Chilwell when he visits his clinic. But a more serious note, you guys need a good experienced winger. Such a shame Sterling isn't working out cos he was expected to solve this issue. |

MRTA7: He can still go on to have a great career at Newcastle. He's a good player. That's not the point. The point is that it was completely missed. By the recruitment team he heads up. What if it was a player with something more severe? Well, the thing is that only one mistake shouldn't define him. I went through his list of players at Brighton and Newcastle and omorr it was really impressive. That's what I believe you should be looking at |

toluxe0075: The remaining fixtures for the top 3 title contender. I feel it’s going to be very close till the end. The point difference between the 3 clubs may not be more than 3 points at the end of the season.
Arsenal’s major challenge now is Newcastle, Chelsea, Man city, Brighton, Aston Villa, and Man United. If our boys can turn up in those matches, we should be close to winning the title.
In fact, our next match against Newcastle is very crucial to the team to boost their morale. If we can see off Newcastle, then Chelsea and Man city in March, I believe we have all it takes to win the title from there. Manchester City deadly month is match while our own is April. Liverpool have their fixtures spread Favourably. Since they're also ontop, Liverpool looks more likely, just unfortunate for them that injuries is hitting their camp There's a reason why I dey hope for a fit and good squad depth towards This crucial season. Check our 2nd and 3rd to last match of the season, we have Tottenham and Man U back to back (both away games). They'll be probably hunting for top 4 too so they won't make it easy for us at all. We need to be pitch perfect to win this thing and it seems amongst all three, ours seems to be the harshest |

MRTA7: By all accounts, Tonali's gambling issue was well known issue in Milan so a new £50m signing getting a 10 month ban with a gambling addiction would be a bit of a problem. I would have thought our top DoF would have done due diligence to find out about this. What happens after the 10months? Suarez was given 8 months ban yet Barca still signed him and we knew how he turned out. If Tonali is quality and not injury prone and can easily slot into the team, that's what Newcastle should be looking at not whether he has 10 month ban possibly hanging on his head. My thoughts tho |

mostob: Exc: Tomiyasu, Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus are not injured. They all returned from injury but on advice from the medical department they have been given a "rest " period to avoid a setback chance [ minimize the risk ]. The thinking behind this is to have a near full squad from March to May . #arsenalfanaticsnews The club use sense for here. This is the main reason why I didn't really want us to sell Partey this January. We need all of them fit for squad depth during this crucial part of the season (March to May) since we'll be thinking about marrying UCL and EPL commitments. We wouldn't want a big drop in quality like last season which really finished both our EPL and UeCL commitments. |

timbros: No harm in dropping your view too. I think 2 CF and one Lw or RW. Jackson is never a CF and Nkunku isn't one. As for CB, there's Badiashile, Colwill, Disasi, Chaloba. A coach with good system will get the best out of these four. Colwill and Badiashile mostly have shown good quality here while Disasi and Chaloba won't be bad as sub (this is me neglecting Dr Fofana) Even though I know a good coach might get the best out of the attackers but what Chelsea needs now is a very good EXPERIENCED attacker and a very Good CF to lift this team up. The likes of Mudryk, Madueke, Jackson and co po lack top flight experience and it's showing, if they don't sit up as possible wing deputy, then they need to be sold cos dem no deh show consistency Midfield is already sorted so no need even talking about Midfield in terms of balance. In summary, getting 2 quality CF (one Standard and one who can come from bench), and a quality LW/RW (a Neto kinda player without injury) will make this team balanced. |

If I can get ONLY 3 players with 200m, I'll get a CB and CF. The last spot will be either of LW/RB/LB.
Fofana, Chilwell, James all have terrible injury records. Silva is already semi retired. These are defensive positions that needs reinforcement critically. I have not even mentioned the goalkeeper department.
Our left and central side of attack currently needs upgrade.
So you see that our problem is not just attack.
And apart from just signing players, we need a coach that can actually upgrade the players we currently have. A different coach can come in and change these crop of players to monsters and drop the jaw of football world. These are young players that can be moulded.
Mourinho came into Chelsea in 2004 and suddenly Geremi became solid. Terry became a rock. Lampard already have the talent but he became much much more better. Joe Cole became a terrorist. Even soft Glenn Johnson deliver wenever he was called upon..... All these are players Mourinho met in Chelsea. So apart from his signings, he still improved the players he met in the club.
Chelsea issue is not just attack. Hmm..Very well and Valid enough. I understand your point now even though I have a contrasting idea |

timbros: I am just seeing this now. 15 mentions actually.
You cannot tell me NOT to combine my spending on both attackers and defenders because I have been advocating for balance from day 1. I will definitely spend on both departments because I have been saying we need improvement in both areas.
That question should be for the purely pro attack and/or pro defence individuals.
Hope I'm clear. 15 mentions?. That shows how people were eager to hear your response on it Lol, okay. Let me go with what you're saying. So if given the 200m, which departments specifically in attack and defence will you buy that you feel will make this team very very improved? NB: Judging from today's market, 200m will get you at most 2-3 players depending on the quality and department. |

They have only managed to win against United. Haaland is not at his best currently and their defence has been all over the place. I really want us to secure that 6 points (Fraudtrafford and Emptyhad Stadium), on the other hand pray Brentford tries to grind out at least a point today. Lol... I always long for a day like this where we are always favourite(or hopeful) to go to a strong away ground and win. Some pundits are even put us as outsiders to win UCL too. Even though it MIGHT be a stretch to far but to even be included in ucl conversation tells us how far we've come I just hope that at the end of everything, we win something tangible. We deserve it. Arteta deserves it too for what he's done and he's doing. |
