I included my father's company documents, ownership documents for 2cars and a recent government contract award letter worth 13M.

You are saying I should input around how much exactly for the "funds available" section? I didn't quite understand that part in your post.
Cars basically depreciate. Include landed properties. C of O or survey, evaluation etc. Government contract could be terminated(not been real) just sealing holes. Funds available should be tuition + room n board + others, then add 6k thereabout. Just tell dad to up closing balance this time around and 6 months statement. You are good to go. I am advising you based on what I did. Was delayed with same reason as yours and mine even had K leg.

Thank you. I will work on it. I just want to know where I stand on the "Room, board and Other" issue.

Also, in the "funds available for stay" was I wrong to have filled 52k, should I dial it down.

I'm beginning to feel very depressed right now
Don't be depressed bro..."it's not over till you win". As regards "Room, board and other; you are cool with it, would just advice you input about 5k for others. Add all these together and top up with miscellaneous i.e flight etc (6k). This would flow for available funds. Key things I observed missing in your documents are; your dad's properties (these are financial stand) and would want you to ensure submitting six months bank statement. Giving them 3 months and 2months could have kept the vo in the dark while trying to decide your sponsors capabilities.

@joe980 and thebae
Thanks so much for your advice.
My aged father has a land with a survey. Can I use that even though it isn't in my name but the land is virtually mine. Does he need to write that such land has been transferred to me
He doesn't need to write.

Hi guys, please I need your help. I need to apply for visa soon and I'm having problems with the "strong home ties" aspect.

Now,it is compulsory that my proof of strong home ties has to do with properties? If yes,can a survey plan of the land be sufficient? I haven't done and it may take some time. I have two buses which I use for business, can I use this and how? What other way can I show "strong home "

Cc thesoj, thebae,gboyegad,joe980,others
You are fine with survey plan. "Strong home tie" is broad. It starts from the passion you have for your intending course, why you want it, and it's benefits. All these should be detailed in your questionaire and SOP. Your immediate family and properties are also not left out. Do you have your business registered? I guess income from these buses goes into an account?

Hi guys. I submitted my docs yesterday at vfs and got a mail from them in the evening that my app has been forwarded to Canada visa office Lagos. I tot it would be forwarded to Accra. So does that mean my app will be treated in Lagos?
Do you have GHAN or CALA on your tracking number?

In other news, from the 15th of August, CIC will no longer accept original documents for paper route because they want too keep whatever applicants submit. They want photocopies and will no longer be returning documents. (this info is from a friend who went to submit his application at Vfs today)
This sounds like an excuse to deny people based on authenticity of their documents. These people ain't loyal
Chai Chai, there is Goduu ooo! Don't go there please...what's the difference between this approach and online application? As long as they don't lay hands on original documents submitted via online route then your thought ain't loyal wink. They have solid ways of document verification.

queens doesnt ave civil engineering.....ottawa also says b average(70percent)
http://m.civil.queensu.ca/Graduate-Studies/index.html

You seem not to take time to digest the info. The fact that they say 70% shouldn't be a turn off for you. On the average it's always B. They decide based on analysing your transcript. Also, most of them work with last 2yr cgp. If you don't apply there won't be a way out. Package your app!

loool..
my brother.....theres hardly any school u mention that i havent gone through their requirements. in some cases mailed the admissions before applying.....and im always advised not to apply if i dont want to waste my application fee.

my brother i just graduated last year october..

the thing is some courses are more competitive than the others....
civil engineering in particular isnt easy to get into for masters as there are a lot of gurus all over.
Can I have the names of those schools that told you not to apply if you don't want to waste your money?

im not that bold o....when the requirement says high standing or B average......even MUN wey talk above average bounce me....
and my cgpa na 3.21 ooooo
MUN not granting doesn't mean other school would follow. Spend these money! Get on school page, digest admission requirement, study intending program courses, brand a solid statement of interest, good references and make sure you apply ahead of time. Do you have any work experience or any other programs/training aside your degree?

Hello house, can someone who has done evaluation wt WES Ca jst please feed me with a respond.having sent all my details, payment, transcript document for evaluation which were confirmed received. Am awaiting the evaluation report to be under three 3weeks from june 13.checking my status I could see" waiting for verification from institution" .I have been to my institution yet they claim no mail were sent from WES Ca.pls is it possible for me to track the exact date WES mailed my nigeria institution.thank you
Hi, did you get 'DOCUMENT VERIFICATION NOTIFICATION' mail from WES? That is what you should work with. If you have that keep pressing on your school, preferably the department involved. Print the mail for your school to track.

Mehn, we're in the same shoes oo. I tracked and it showed dispacted on 29 July. Visa was earlier approved on 23 July.
Now dis evening, I got a mail from vfshelpline saying this,

Dear Applicant,

We would like to inform you that your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, on 03 Aug 2015 to the Canada Visa Application Centre.
You can track the status of your application through our website mentioned below using your tracking number.

I re-tracked my app and d date changed from 29 Jul to 03 Aug.
Which kain life, why dem dey use person play na.
funmi14:
Why this inconsistency in CIC message nowadays? Hummmm.. They shouldn't play with u people approval mail ooo because medical mail to otherwise is not funny oo let alone POE letter to otherwise.
PLEASE KEEP FAITH ALIVE!!!
It's a clear message, first one was directly from Accra informing dispatch while second is from vsf confirming it is on ground for pick up.

I don't know why we have allowed our optimism to cloud the realistic.

Then we don't need advising anyone here on any situation. Because there can always be a first time something happens.

A 2.91 can't get admission into a canadian university for masters!...
I'll like to be proven wrong though...I'm opeen to that.
There you go again my bro. I put it to you that it is possible. If you haven't seen such doesn't mean people can't. It's all about packaging.
