Politics / Re: Why We Are Holding Talks With Boko Haram- FG by Joeadamu86: 1:52pm On Aug 16, 2012
hillsate: Which of the boko haram groups is FG trying to bribe in the name of dialogue.
1. Is it the religious BH
2. The political BH
3. The violent BH
4. The armed robbery BH
5. PDP BH

I am pretty sure the FG is into dialogue with the religious BH and that I know will yield no result. How can the FG claim to be in dialogue when the bombings are on going.
As long as its not Abu Qaqa that confirms any dialogue, it's all a jamboree.
Watch out for a rebuttal of this so called dialogue from Abu Qaqa.
As far as I am concern all these categories are political, let's give them the benefit of the doubt and see....

Politics / Okupe To Northern CAN: Jonathan Won’t Go by Joeadamu86: 10:33am On Aug 15, 2012
The Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs Doyin Okupe has described as misguided the call by the Northern Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for Jonathan to resign for poor handling of the security challenges in the country.

Okupe told State House Correspondents Monday that the statement credited to CAN was uncalled for even as he sympathised with CAN for loss of lives following the activities of members of the Boko Haram sect.

The Northern CAN in the 19 northern states hadpin a statement signed by its spokesman, Sunday Oibe, faulted the President’s handling of the security challenges in the country, insisting that he has failed Nigerians and should resign .

According to Okupe, the call by the Northern CAN “is misguided, but government is compelled to sympathize with the Christian Community in the North who have suffered incessant and bloodshed.

He reiterated that the security challenges would soon be over, adding that it took the British government more than 28 years to contain the Irish Revolutionary Army (IRA), 27 years to wipe out the Sri-Lanka Tami Rebels and over 16 years to contain the Oman Insurgency in Morocco.

He said the Nigeria’s Armed Forces has the capacity to contain all insurgent attacks within days, adding that such action would be expensive at a great collateral damage to the civilian populace, hence the need for patience.

Patriotism is what we need first, our sport administrators should have a long term plan of sports development to pick people with talents and train them while they are still young.Cooperate bodies should help govt to sponsor our athletes and other sporting activities, competitions should be organized in schools, streets and communities to scout for talents. These will go a long in helping us to win more medals in the nearest future....

texazzpete: Lol.
All he's saying is that out of 27000 plots he approved, 8 were to members of his family.

In percentage terms, that's 0.03%.

Are you dolts seriously construing this to mean he's 'corrupt'?

This is far less fishy than out of all the thousands of villages in Nigeria, a contractor chose to build a church in GEJ's village of Otueke. I didn't see any of you clowns complaining then grin cheesy
He is a big liar, the land he stole are more than 8,with the ultimate powers that he had then,he is just trying to reduce the amounts of land he stole so that he can be justified, like the Bible will say, there is no small or big sin, stealing is stealing period.....

Politics / Boko Haram:can President Writes Clinton.... by Joeadamu86: 10:26am On Aug 10, 2012
KADUNA—The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oristejiafor, has written a letter to the visiting American Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, expressing CAN’s  reservation on the manner  the issues of Boko Haram and related violence by Islamist groups against Nigerian Christians  are being treated by the United States.

The Letter dated July 7, 2012 which was signed on behalf of Oristejiafor by  Secretary General of CAN,  Rev. Musa Asake also described as inaccurate the 2011 International Religious Freedom report which catalogued the attacks on Christians and their places of worship by the Islamic sect.

According to CAN president, “Much to our dismay, the information contained in our memorandum to the presidential panel on Post-Election Violence was not included in the 2011 State Department International Religious Freedom Report. Our memo presented widespread incidents of violence targeting Christians in 12 northern states in April last year during the reporting period of the 2011 report.

“Unfortunately the destruction of over 700 churches and the systematic massacres of hundreds of Christians in 48 hours – the largest single attack on Christendom in contemporary world history anywhere on the planet-were not included in your report. Even more surprising, the report failed to accurately describe the horrific Christmas Day multi-city church attacks.

http://www.nigeriamasterweb.com/paperfrmes.html

“These coordinated attacks on three states, comprising Niger, Plateau and Yobe, claimed over 60 lives and, for a second consecutive year, stunned the world. The report merely mentions the Christmas Day church bombing of St. Theresa’s Catholic church in Madalla, then fails to communicate the scope and significance of the Christmas Day attacks.

“The pernicious persecution, denigration and dehumanisation of Christians in northern Nigeria especially has been a fact of life for over a quarter century. It is therefore disconcerting that the US report addresses it in a speculative tone that undermines the harsh reality of the masses of orphans and widows left behind.”
