Politics / Re: Oyerinde: Kudos To Police by Joeadamu86: 1:20pm On Nov 22, 2012
pokkadot: this report lacks substance. it looks like something written by the police to praise themselves for doing nothing. where are the 18 suspects they claim to have arrested? have they been taken to court? or is it only in the imagination of the writer. the day the police does away with their inferiority complex and face their job, that's the day they will get respect from Nigerians. kudos ko, kudos ni
Maybe the NPF think we are all dummies in Nigeria,we are seeing their unending blunders all over the Nation.
Politics / Re: FEC Approves N13.9billion Contract For Bayelsa Airport! by Joeadamu86: 1:15pm On Nov 22, 2012
I don't see anything wrong in building an Airport in Bayelsa it is also part I'd development,if each state should have an Airport is not a bad Idea at all.
Politics / Re: Oyerinde: Kudos To Police by Joeadamu86: 1:05pm On Nov 22, 2012
I wonder what the NPF want to get from story, this a strong indication that it's looking for cheap popularity, what kind of unprofessionalism is this, you want to dent another agency's effort to be applauded?that is to tell hoe corrupt the NPF is,all they do is to allow suspect escape,if my memory does not fail me,Kabirusokoto whom they allowed him to escape was later arrested by the DSS,what are they trying to tell us....As for me I have lost confidence in the police a long time ago.
Politics / Re: Boko Haram: Obasanjo And The Odi Recipe by Joeadamu86: 10:33am On Nov 21, 2012
OBJ's recipe is for disaster, one will do more harm than good....GEJ do your thing your way we just want to see results and less casualties.

Politics / Re: Media Chat War : Between Dialogue And OBJ'S Odi And Zakibiam Approach(pix) by Joeadamu86: 9:19am On Nov 21, 2012
Even thogh GEJ said during the media chat that govt is involve in any dialogue with a faceless group, the forceful approach earlier suggested by OBJ is anti people, the Boko Haram is an evil group but the fact still remains that they can be forgiven if they lay down their arms and embrace the path of peace, but invading a whole state to fish out terrorist will do more harm than good.

Politics / Re: Goodluck Jonathan Is Like A Disease by Joeadamu86: 2:22pm On Nov 20, 2012
bilms: it is very difficult to make a post on nl ragarding govt, politics, religion and ethnicity and get a sincere and objective response. Most people comment based on interest, sentiment, religion and their ethnic and political affiliation. They go against logic and reason to promote their interest and it hurts.
I wonder my brother, all these angry people making noise here are a minut few,by the time GEJ impresses the public with one or two major projects the masses will start shouting for that disease you are calling to be their President again, and I see that happening
Politics / The Other Sides Of GEJ As Nigeria's President. by Joeadamu86: 11:44am On Nov 20, 2012
People differ, environment shapes our behavior so said the psychologist, our attitude in life also tell tell more of who we are in our relationship with people.Over the past 52 years of our Nationhood with the military taking chunk of the years spend which is still affecting our unity and posing a lot of challenges,Nigeria has produced leaders different calibres,Styles and all what have u not,it depends on how close you are with someone for you to know him or her better.I am from the Northern extraction I only see GEJ on TV but I like his disposition. Here on NL some unpatriotic people call him names, but the fact remains that he has something that u will never take care from him,his is gentle and open,he may have flaws but I think this is the most sincere President we have ever had,he also listens to the voice of the people,i count how many decisions he has reversed because the people didn't like it,the latest is the #5000 note,he us also teacheable, these are qualities of a good leader,i know he will do more for Nigeria. To be fair to GEJ,he has so many good qualities that are enviable. As a patriotic Nigerian,I am wishing him happy birthday and many years ahead.
Politics / Re: The Image Of Gej's Administration After The Media Chat. by Joeadamu86: 12:30pm On Nov 19, 2012
take dat: @Op, keep on sucking GEJ's loin sincerely we've always known you for that. In your myopic mind you said GEJ tackled the issue of fuel subsidy when all he did was to tell Nigerians to keep persevering in hardship by paying for fuel above the normal pump price with endless queues and not giving a time when it will end.
On the issue of corruption, GEJ exposed himself as one who condones corruption when he was asked about the Halliburton and Siemens bribe payment. His answer was evasive as usual and he indeed tried to absolve the companies of any wrongdoing by saying “you know the history
of Halliburton and you know the history
of Siemens.” He also avoided the issue of corrupting the monetization policy by selling residential quarters to the NA leadership and why a new budgetary allocation was made to build them new ones.
Why did he avoid the question of him not visiting Borno and Yobe? So much for fighting insecurity when the president himself is hiding!
Your analysis is not fair at all, nobody is saying that GEJ is perfect but to be fair to him,he is the most open president we have gotten,as far as i am concern he didnt lie the Halliburton and Siemens bribe scandal took place years ago its a not a new concept,if there is anybody that needs to be blamed then OBJ and others they know much abt that,OBJ introduced monetization with the endorsement of the National Assembly, i dont think he evaded any question,he told us the truth and i reasoned with him...the fight on terror is succeeding...i believe with time he will do better. His answers during the chat were fair and honest.
Politics / The Image Of Gej's Administration After The Media Chat. by Joeadamu86: 11:40am On Nov 19, 2012
At last the presidential media chat is over, with so many expectations, pessimism and close hearted, many glued themselves to their TV set anxiously waiting to hear how GEJ will break so many hearts by announcing the removal of subsidy and other related issues. Surprisingly, the gentle and calm President in his usual humorous posture stole the show and tackled every question in a Presidential manner. Sincerely, it got me thinking that most of the problems or rather challenges facing the country was inherited from previous administration, and a lot has been done by present administration to solve such challenges and ameliorate the effects on the public. Apparently, the President cleared the air on a lot of varying issues ranging from subsidy removal, insecurity, corruption, and creating an enabling environment for investors. Having said that, I believe it is imperative that we as Nigerians ignore those who try to paint the country and the President in bad light for their selfish and political gain, and still be patient and supportive to the President bearing in mind that Nation building is a process, and Mr President is in the process. My perception has changed for now cos i see hope, how abt believing the GEJ again.

omosexy1:

GOOD THINKING - GOOD POST. I think people requesting for this do not realise the breakdown of societal order and the hardship it would bring. Take a look at Egypt and Libya
The only revolution we need in Nigeria is to change our orientation and mindset, anything short of that will lead us to anarchy, those calling for revolution are still dreaming Nigeria must remain one.

I don't think the SSS is as jobless as the likes of Omojuwa, who spent most of their time on social media looking for cheap popularity and vulnerable people to exploit, see the people calling for revolution, someone who was crying like a baby all over the social media because of IPAD,as far I am concern Omojuwa is an ex convict blacklisted by Arik today he is praising Arik that he abused, thank God for democracy and social media, who would have even known Omojuwa and the shamelessness he is displaying.

Politics / Re: Reports From International Organizations About Nigeria: How Factual? by Joeadamu86: 4:28pm On Nov 15, 2012
The report is neocolonialising some many countries, how many reports are written by transparency international or human rights watch in this regard, all they do is to get the vulnerable ones amongst to be saying nonsense abt our dear country,we are peculiar people with our pride, most of the so called statistics are just fake without any empherical evidence,we must discard all firms of negativity against our country.
Politics / Re: Reports From International Organizations About Nigeria: How Factual? by Joeadamu86: 4:23pm On Nov 15, 2012
take dat: @Op, i share your concern but optimism have no real grounds in Nigeria. We need no report for us to measure the level of abject poverty in Nigeria, our deplorable state of roads, corruption and maladministration of our government. The pessimism you noticed in Nigerians is simply a general public perception of how bad things are in the country
what are u implying?you want to tell me that there no hope for Nigeria?that despair will not be shared by many, nobody is saying that Nigeria doesn't have problems but most of these problems are external we just believe everything the west say, shouldnt we have our own minds, positive thinking and patriotism can and will take us out of this murky waters.

My concern is how OBJ talking these days as if he is saint,we all know how he misruled this country for 8 eights,Boko haram is a problem to all of us,the point is that most times we forget that this govt also has its success story we just talk without applauding our Sy agencies, terror is a global phenomeon not peculiar to Nigeria alone,as much as force is needed, dialogue still remains the best option because of colossal damage.

It will be a combination of two arrogant fellows, self centred and tyrannical leaders who will not listen to what the people saying, that will be an unholy alliance
Politics / Re: Assessing The Call For Revolution/ Mass Protest By Bakare, Elrufai, Dino Melaye by Joeadamu86: 12:28pm On Nov 13, 2012
No doubts we need revolution in every aspect of our lives, but the problem is that those who are calling for these changes have their hands soiled already, just look at the characters involve,is it the fake prophet Tunde Bakare who has demeaned God's name in the name of politics or,Nasir El rufai who is always barking on the social media or Dino Melaye who is so shameless to the extent that his life speaks volumes of his notoriety with women.Change is a constant phenomenon but Nigeria cannot be fixed in a day,all of us were witnesses to these element clamouring for change what did they do while in office, for all I care these are just noise makers.
Politics / Re: Credibilty Of The Ribadu Report! by Joeadamu86: 2:34pm On Nov 12, 2012
Nobody is saying that Ribadu is not an upright man,but come to think of it if GEJ doesn't want to sanitize the system he would have even chosen Ribadu, let's stop all this blame game and channel all efforts towards the prosecution of oil thieves while grey areas in the Ribadu's report are corrected for sanity in the sector.
Politics / Re: NPF Must Produce Sani Mohammed: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! by Joeadamu86: 12:08pm On Nov 09, 2012
Nora okon: i was really disappointed yesterday when the news broke out.to be frank, the number of lives the Police has extra judiciously taken is on the high side, compared to the number they have protected for some time now.they owe Nigerians explanations on the escape of Sani Mohammed.
it's really heartbreaking....
Politics / Re: BEYOND RIBADU'S REPORT by Joeadamu86: 10:24am On Nov 09, 2012
It maybe difficult to admit, but I don't think GEJ set up the Ribadu committee to ridicule anybody,as the days go bye patience will help us see what will unfold in the coming weeks, still hoping for the better Sha.
Politics / Re: NPF Must Produce Sani Mohammed: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! by Joeadamu86: 10:21am On Nov 09, 2012
Sincerely I don't what Is wrong with the NPF how can a suspect just escape like that,it is beyond the common sense,I don't want to believe that NPF is aiding and abating Boko Haram.

k2039:

And you want me to believe Buhari said this, the reason I asked for a link is because I find it hard that a man of his calibre could spew shit like this(remeber he was a former head of state,a presidential aspirant also).

I understand he may have a problem with elections in Nigeria, but election in U.S is close to being free and fair(ofcourse their is no election that is completely free and fair but U.S was very close).

So I find it had to believe he said that.
my brother Gen.Buhari have every tendency to make such remarks oh,trust Nigerian politicians they hardly accept defeat no matter how clear the results are...the point is just Buhari is a hard liner who is too vindictive and cannot help us to move anywhere at all.
Politics / Re: Buhari Angry With Mitt Romney Over Elections Results by Joeadamu86: 10:39am On Nov 08, 2012
What do u expect from someone like Buhari who cherishes controversies and values self interest over and above Nationa interest, instead of him to applaud Romney he is busy angry with him,no wonder he will never win any election again because of strife and bitterness in his heart,he must understand that loosing or winning an election is not a do or die affair, his statements during the 2011 Presidential elections brought violence that killed a lot of innocent people.Romney you did the right thing, dont bother yourself with angry people like Buhari.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Congratulates Obama On Election Victory by Joeadamu86: 4:28pm On Nov 07, 2012
I don't see anything wrong in cngratulation OBAMA except for mischief makers who see everything bad in life,I think we need to always see the bright side of life pessimism and unwarranted criticism will not take us anywhere,GEJ is on the right tract...

I wish story is true....he didn't tell us abt Buhari 's inciting remarks before the 2011 elections which caused post election violence in the North and many youth corpers lost their lives for been patriotic, this one is cork and bull story..
Politics / Re: Breaking News----tension In The U.s As Romney Rejects Election Results by Joeadamu86: 1:08pm On Nov 07, 2012
This is just a true reflection of Nigeria's politicians like Buhari who promised to make an administration ungovernable if he doesn't win, with his cronies like El rufai who always disgraces himself on twitter and other social media platforms for a selfish course,TINUBU has colonies the south west with his Amala politics and Bakare a political Pastor, these are dangerous people who don't mean well for us..this may look as a joke but sincerely it's just a true picture of some our selfish politicians.
Politics / SSS Parades 4 Suspected Arms-running Syndicate by Joeadamu86: 10:15pm On Nov 05, 2012
Lafia - The State Security Service (SSS) in Nasarawa State on Monday paraded four suspected members of an arm-running syndicate.

The state’s Director of SSS, Abubakar Bubuche, said the suspects were members of a gun running syndicate operating between Nasarawa, Benue and Taraba states.

He said two of them were arrested last week in Assakio, a community in Lafia Local Government in Nasarawa, recently engulfed by ethnic skirmishes.

Bubuche said the suspects gave useful information during investigation, which led to the arrest of three others, including a witch doctor from Abinse in Benue.

He said investigation revealed that prior to the recent crisis in Assakio, the witch doctor allegedly supplied charms worth more than N90,000 for protection against gunshots.

According to the SSS director,  items recovered from the suspects, included three  AK 47 riffles, one sub-machine gun, 48 rounds of live ammunition and assorted charms.

He said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.

He, however, appealed to members of the public to shun violence and live in peace with one another, irrespective of religious, political and ethnic differences.

“Why should we be spending money buying weapons to fight against each other when we should channel such money into feeding, training of our children,” he asked.

Bubuche called for the cooperation of members of the public by giving useful information, to tackle all forms of criminality in the society.

He assured the public of confidentiality for any information on criminal activities within their neighbourhood. (NAN)
