Kudos to the GEJ he was really Presidential in His approach to issues.. |
mikeapollo: Dont mind this attention-seeking woman. She was the head of the so-called 'Due Process Office' under Obasanjo when over $16Billion was spent on power projects without nothing to show for it. Some of the money was even paid to fictitious and non-existing companies.I think they are just seeking relevance, its really an act of desperation for someone who has been in Government before to criticizing everything they see...its so pathetic |
nagoma: Can somebody please explain to me what "donates" means? Is the president giving out governments money that is budgetted and will be accounted for and audited? Or is he donating from his personal savings from his own legitimate earnings? It means that the President donated money to a State owned University which is not out place considering the importance of Education to the people.. |
Since the ghost workers have been found,i think even if at the end of the day the sponsors are not found,at least something is done... |
Abeg something should be given to this woman to keep her busy,i suspect its idleness that is making her talk too much... |
GEJ has done well,at least he has rekindled the need for Education the the State..This is very good move |
The truth of the matter is that the NPF has failed,i am just wondering how they will redeem its image, the particular has broughT alot of embrassment to the NPF,going by analysis that i have been following so far,the secret police suspects seems to be the original culprits, while the NPF keeps telling us cock and bulls story.. |
The violent aftermath of the 2011 general elections is a pointer to the party that is violent in Nigeria. |
Personal Opinion-With the recent revelation by Senator Ita Enang, that most of Nigeria's Oil blocks are owned by Northerners 80% or thereabout,it brings us back to the question whether Northern leaders have done enough to salvage the region given the length of time that they spend in power. The truth of the matter is that, the resources gathered by a few Northern elites which solely for them and their children without regards to the high level of poverty in the region is one of the reasons that even the Boko Haram is thriving. I am of the Northern extraction and i believe i am not the only one that has that notion, that our leaders in the North are just selfish who care less about the people and more about themselves. They have not shown any commitment with regards to the development of the region and one keeps wondering when they will ever get it right. In my opinion let them share the riches they have accumulated over time in order not to be consumed by the wrath that may follow their selfishness.. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/senator-enang-reveals-northerners-own-80-nigerian-oil-blocks-nation-newspaper |
CPC again, later they will tell us that CPC is a peaceful and democratic party, its a sign of bad things to come on their part..they are just reminding us of the aftermath of the 2011 elections... |
Five hundred million Naira for games alone...i think its on the high side while their barracks remain shameful |
Let's just organise prayers and fasting for the NPF maybe something good may come out of it... |
You have said it all, if Buhari cannot CPC where several factions emerged and numerous gubernatorial candidates, i just wonder how he can lead Nigeria... |
Whoever thinks that Bill is for the general public has to wake up from dream land, the National Assembly members are just trying to design something that will favour them,I wish it has good intentions.. |
Where else do we turn to?The police as an institution has woefully failed, from brutalizing innocent people,to corruption and framing people like the Oyerinde's case its just heart breaking... |
jas_o: You are an advocate of failure to be re-sharpen or re-oriented for civilize life style.I will criticize my father if he is goes and makes stupid statements that will not uphold our family, nobody is saying that all is well in Nigeria, but tell me the solutions the General proffered during the speech. The point is that Buhari misfired, the british in the normal Neocolonial and imperialistic style set a trap and Buhari fell into...and people like you who don't value your country will clap for him as if his folly is commendable. |
Maybe they want to go and specialize how to be collecting bribeand be killing innocent people any how... |
Neversaydie: GMB, but why......this is unbecoming of a statesman. Yea, there are issues here and there but must we go out and still tarnish and soil the image of the country the more...........we can never see an american leader and British leader both past and serving to come to African countries and batter the image of his country for whatever reason and that is why their countries keep moving forward and higher. Are we saying there are no problems of national dimension in the UK and US despite there categorization as advanced countries, yet they do not wash their dirty linen outside.....I REMAIN UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED BY GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI SPEECH AND ACTIONWhat do you expect from someone who is not democratically inclined?the military mentality is still flowing in his blood, what Buhari did is like a son calling his father a bad man,no matter how worst your country is still your country. |
Queste: Honestly we don't have a police force in Nigeria. The earlier you realised this and take cover when you see them, the safer you areI totally agree with you...we must always take extra caution when we see them... |
Gen Buhari is the wrong person to say anything about Democracy, he has never been democratic, someone who toppled a democratically elected government,i don't i think he has anything to say. Moreover the organizers of the programme as far as i am concern have sinister motive, if not why General Buhari who they can easily pre empt his postion on Nigeria's democracy, the picture he painted is worst as than what we have on ground. He is just angry for always loosing out. |
If there is any word more than shameful, that is how I will describe the NPF,it is so inefficient and corrupt,if not for God who has been protecting us,all of us would have been history because of the NPF's incompetence.Day by day we keep seeing theirs flaws exposing without any remorse, the entire NPF needs overhauling.. |
Let us not be quick in making statements that we don't anything abt,I don't think the Secret Police I.e SSS will just arrest somebody for nothing,Abdullahi may not have told his father that he is been sponspored by anyone, let's not forget abt the Abdulmultalab case.I think we should allow our security agencies do their jobs in a professional manner. |
Well done SSS u are always doing a good job, that is why Nigerians have confidence in you, more of this |
I was touched when l read the inspiring piece credited to one of our respected leaders in the society, DELE MOMODU. This material indeed deserves national attention, as it inspires those of us who have lost hope in the system and can only see doom coming. Indeed, Victor Moses, one of the very young Nigerians in the current Super Eagles squad has proved to us all that our tale to greatness has just began despite the odds. However, l was appalled by the fact that Dele Momodu could descend so low as to plagiarize and take credit for a young man’s ingenuity. Indeed the entire story was posted by Enenche D’ Comedian on his Face Book page on 5th February, 2013. Rather than encourage the dynamic upcoming comedian, whose focus has always been on National Unity and Integration, the former Presidential aspirant chose to take credit for what he knew nothing about. It therefore suggests that the man who wanted to lead us to the “promise land” do not have original idea(s) after all, what a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We call on Mr. Momodu to openly denounce the piece of work being credited to him, and rather encourage ENENCHE and his likes that represent the true Nigerian spirits, who rather than pursue frivolities, would inspire fellow Nigerians, who see possibilities and have the “Yes We Can” mentality despite the odds. Mr. Momodu, please tow the path of honour and give credit to whom it is due. ENENCHE D’ COMEDIAN IS THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR OF THE VICTOR MOSES STORY AND NOT DELE MOMODU https://www.nairaland.com/1189010/victor-moses-biography-dele-momodu |
xcerpts from the book, “The Accidental Public Servant,” although yet to be presented to the public and written by a former Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, will definitely be a reader’s delight as it contains sensitive revelations. Shortly after excerpts from the highly anticipated book revealed that Olusegun Obasanjo allegedly once threatened, “No third term, no Nigeria,” el-Rufai has again rattled the feathers of Obasanjo’s second-in-command, Atiku Abubakar whom he claimed thought that former President Olusegun Obasanjo would not complete his tenure thereby paving the way for him (Atiku) to become the President. The former minister said he had met Atiku and told him about his intention to resign as the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises following the demand for N54m bribe by some senators before he would be cleared as a ministerial nominee. He said he had reported the bribe demand to Obasanjo, but that the former President asked him to sort himself out. “No, I am not handling this senators’ thing. I have done my part and nominated you. You should go and tell the vice-president about whatever has transpired. He will handle it,” El-Rufai claimed the former President said when he met with him on the demand. El-Rufai wrote, “When I walked into Atiku’s office, he said, ‘Where are you going? You can’t leave. We are about to have the whole thing’. “I was taken aback as I was not sure what he meant. What do you mean sir?” He said the former vice-president informed him about a marabout in Cameroon who, he said had been in touch with him since the first very time he contested the governorship in the old Gongola State. Atiku, according to him, told him that the marabout asked him not to waste his money because he would not win. The same marabout, he said told him more than two more times that he would lose governorship elections, which he said he lost. The former vice-president was also claimed to have said the marabout told him he would win the 1999 governorship election in Adamawa State but would not become the governor. El-Rufai wrote, “And soon, it came to pass. Atiku won the election, but before he could take the oath of office, Obasanjo chose him to be his running mate. “On the strength of this fable, Atiku appeared to have placed his faith in the predictions of this marabout.” He said the former vice president added, “Nasir, this mallam has been consistently right in hid predictions.” “Wow, that is very interesting sir, but what does this have to do with my resignation?” the former minister asked Atiku. “Because the same mallam said that Obasanjo would not complete his term”, he quoted Atiku as saying. But Atiku’s spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehu, said, “The book is a tissue of lies. Marabout is a family phenomenon of the el-rufais of this world. “He, as a minister, has supported one of his brother to an errand to see marabout in Morocco, Mali, Senegal and Somalia. “With this book, he is inadvertently opening his character and that of his family for the whole world to see.” In the book, Atiku went on to ask el-Rufai why he would want to resign when he (Atiku) would soon be in charge. “So, why do you want to go? When I am President, we are going to take charge of this place and fix it and I will need you. You are one of my best people,” Atiku assured him. http://www.informationng.com/2013/02/el-rufais-new-book-atiku-thought-obj-wouldnt-complete-his-tenure-he-is-a-liar-diabolic-atiku.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook

Demdem: But its true, as a result of killing evil Boko Members, JTF has inadvertently killed the innocent. Infact today, Amnesty told us about extra-judicial killings happening in Nigeria by the police or u also want to deny that also? Please let's not forget the topic before us.... |

Demdem: if u are to consider the amount spent so far, coupled with the time frame and take a look at what we have gotten then i am not moved. Its not that we are inventing anything new. getting it done isnt rocket science. Indeed Nigerians havent gotten true value for money. infact we are even paying much more for the very little. i think Nigerians have been robbed with this marginal improvement no doubt. These are omissions from past leaders, you dont expect GEJ within two years to turns things around overnight....let's give me more time and see what he has in stock... |
