Politics / Re: The Hypocrisy Of Amanpour And CNN by Joeadamu86: 3:16pm On Feb 05, 2013
Find Out!:
Give it up for the Laptop crew!!!! *claps hands*. So what's next now? A ''revelation'' that Christine Amanpour is a card carrying member of ACN & seeks to become Governor of Lagos state in 2013? Or that Cameron the British PM is a CPC member who wants to serve as vice to Buhari, right?

You guys are pathetic. Very pathetic. I actually pity you guys o. Seriously! But it should be obvious by now that your constant mudslinging and attacking of personalities and not issues will not help your case. But oh well, Oga has to see you are doing something, I get smiley

Go to some neighbourhoods, both highbrow and low income, in the night & tell me if your ears wont be deafened by the sound of generators everywhere.

Ask Femi Otedola & Mike Adenuga or at the very least filling station attendants if the purchase of diesel by companies has reduced.

Ask the inverter sellers (new ones are springing up everyday) how many units they sell per day.

Visit 3 banks and tell me if you won't hear the rumble of a cabin generator somewhere in the background in at least 2 out of them.

Go and stand at the gate of Mikano's factory and tell me if you won't see trucks loaded with brand new generators to be delivered leaving the premises.

Lastly, go and look at the 2013 budget and see the amount your very own President/whoeva appropriated for diesel & generators.

Rubbish. Make una dey deceive unaselves dey go. Hopefully, we'll get to the level of development New Orleans is at in d next 15 years (that's not a curse, believe me).
OP you think everybody is as cheap as you are? when there is an improvement on something it doesn't mean that all the challenges are gone, except its magic the problem of power will take some time, wetin we dey talk say things don't improve for power sector unlike before not even Amanpour can deny that if she is to be very fair to this govt.
Politics / Re: The Hypocrisy Of Amanpour And CNN by Joeadamu86: 3:07pm On Feb 05, 2013
GARRI (x7):
The "Amampour" Saga should be an eye-opener to the PDP-led FG as to the current mood of Nigerians as it relates to the "alleged spurious" claims of "MASSIVE" improvements of power supply.

Even If like some say the interview wasn't representative of people's opinion, check her twitter handle and tell me if the message from Nigerians aint clear enough. If you've got an "mg" of common sense, you'd get the clear message from Nigerians.

THE "IMPROVEMENT" IN THE POWER SECTOR ISN'T WORTH CELEBRATING YET AS MANY ARE YET TO BE AFFECTED!!
Improvement is improvement no matter how you look at it,you don't expect things to change at once it must start somewhere, to say that power has not improved anywhere is hyperbolic we must be very fair in our assessment.
Politics / Re: The Hypocrisy Of Amanpour And CNN by Joeadamu86: 3:01pm On Feb 05, 2013
berem: I still don't believe power has improved when comparing my area of residence to other places. the uneven distribution of electricity is a major problem. why would some areas have 18hrs of light daily and others won't have up to 6 hours. If Jonathan hadn't lied about the state of power,Christine wouldn't have taken it too far as you guys claim.
My brother u don't expect everything to become normal at ones its a gradual thing at least a particular place has 18 hours isn't that a good omen. Improvement is a related term i don't think GEJ lied with time and from the way this power reform is going we will soon smile for the better.
Politics / Re: The Hypocrisy Of Amanpour And CNN by Joeadamu86: 2:36pm On Feb 05, 2013
berem: Is it possible for her to loose her job simply because she made a report about Nigeria and her epileptic power supply? Oh please spare me that crap! she only made a report and i don't see any hypocrisy in it.why attacking the woman anyway? na she be oga for nepa? probably ACN and CPC paid her for the report. smh!
Its not abt her loosing her job,the problem of power has been there a long time ago a bane that past administrations neglected for long, comparing the embarrassment of the super bowl and Nigeria's improving power status is wrong,i see it as a slap on our faces.Nobody is saying that all is well but the truth of the matter is that power has improved.
Politics / Re: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by Joeadamu86: 10:08am On Feb 05, 2013
The problem of power in Nigeria is not a new thing, you don't expect a problem that has been there for years to be solve in a day.Meanwhile, the yardstick with which Amapour compared our power with the Super bowl is very wrong considering the improvement of power supply in some many places.Agreed the there are some areas that are experiencing power problems but we must admit that there is improvement,it baffles me when some Nigerians don't see anything good about their country is so sad, that programme was a big joke...as for me Naija for life.
Politics / Re: Blame Northern Leaders Over Insecurity Not Jonathan-dino Melaye by Joeadamu86: 5:40pm On Feb 04, 2013
For ones Dino Melaye has spoken something reasonable, before we know it,Dino will rejoin PDP and start carrying the umbrella left right and centre, let's just keep our fingers crossed.
Politics / Re: The Hypocrisy Of Yesterday’s Men, By Reuben Abati by Joeadamu86: 3:30pm On Feb 03, 2013
;DMy only concern is that we are just too forgetful, had it been our past leaders did well we would be facing much problems, but they have all failed us and the problem at hand cannot be fixed in a day.Its so sad that so called leaders that had the opportunities to do the right things pursued their selfish gains today they are spewing nonsense as if they are saints.Abeg make wuna leave GEJ alone,he has promised us a lot from this year let's keep our fingers crossed

Rome was not build in a day, if for nothing GEJ has significantly won the war and battle on electoral corruption..i believe this particular sin will be forgiven, we must be patient and start somewhere the problems of Nigeria cannot be overcome in a day.
Politics / Re: Concluding Elrufai's Blasphemous Tweet by Joeadamu86: 4:41pm On Jan 31, 2013
Forgive my manners, i don't think El rufai is properly brought up,if not, such display of arrogance that characterize his aggressive nature would have been minimal.Agreed he is frowning at some government policies typical of opposition everywhere in the world, but his penchant for relevance and power is making him loose completely. He is not a patriot he prefers Nigeria as a theater of war that was why he endorsed that tweet..no opposition leader in his right senses always attack the person of his opponent, but El Rufai and his cohorts on the social media who are always looking for cheap popularity are always vomiting falsehood which has led him to blaspheme..i pity him cos he needs therapy...

take dat: Guess this is your latest assignment, @lastpope also opened a similar thread just to score cheap political point. The man erred and has apologised, "The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against Him"
And the Battle is Mine saith the Lord of Host." You guys should stop forming the defenders of Christ.

On a lighter note, didn't see any member of the Government Bootlicking Association on the police pension chairman's thread!
U see that's the problem, because U are a bootlicker u think everyone is like,I am just expressing my personal opinion, people like u are the ones encouraging El rufai to degrade other people's religion, call him to order if u mean well not to come here and be spewing rubbish.

Politics / Beyond El Rufai's Blasphamous Apology. by Joeadamu86: 10:58pm On Jan 28, 2013
Personal opinion,we joke in life as human beings but there are some scared things in life and deities that are not taken for a granted,Nigeria being a senstive country can easily become a threatre of war because of a comment or two.I just learnt that El rufai apologised for being misquoted on the tweet he endorsed with Zebbok. The question is where are the likes of Pastor Tunde Bakare,Japheth Omojuwa,Ogunlese etc who are his Christians friends on the social media, that they can't call him to order, none of them is saying anything.Maybe we are taking this issue for granted, his intentions and Zebbok maybe to cause religious war,but they were disappointed by the people who ignored their folly. The point is that the likes of El rufai can go to any length to even blaspheme and laugh over it in the face of the world.Beyond the apology of El rufai is Bigory and discontent for other people"s religion and deity.Shame on El rufai and his cohorts like Tunde Bakare who are in support of blasphamous people. Its just God's intervention, blood would have been flowing but thank Nigerians don't them serious because they know they are already doomed.

imperiouxx: I don't know why some Nigerians like to join in condemning Nigerian Army. Nigerian army isn't GEJ or the causes of economic instability in Nigeria. Without these guys, the whole Nigeria is a goner, just like Mali we are trying to save. You don't know what you have until you loss it. If you cherish the soup of another mama more than your mama...... Then something is serious wrong with you somewhere.
Its really heartbreaking that we never appreciate our own,we only look for loopholes, these are professionals that have been fighting to keep this country together, one of the best in the world, yet some shallow minded people are looking down at them. All i know they will come with a success story and the shame will be to their critics..

What's ur grouse against him and why will he divide us
Becuase he doesnt have a National outlook...we need a Nigerian President and Buhari not one.
Politics / Re: Buhari May Change His Mind On 2015 Election by Joeadamu86: 11:30am On Jan 17, 2013
I don't have anything against Gen. Buhari but let us not deceive him to run for the Presidency again,Haba four attempts and he is still contemplating contesting,Nigeria is looking for a leader who will bring people together not someone who will divide us the more,Buhari is not the man for President, i will advise him to go back to Daura with his reputation as an elder state man before he becomes a laughing stock.

Gbawe:

I actually cringed reading that bit. What manner of unpresidential simpleton have we lumbered ourselves with? Kai, I truly envy other African Nations who are now parading rapier-sharp intellectuals and achievers as their President while we continue to let the PDP give us the most blunt tool in the box. This yarn from GEJ, like many others, is an embarrassment.
What is wrong if someone uses figure of speech to pass a message? Is something wrong with our thinking?

touch_me_hard: Look at the way they are handling the Oshiomole's Private secretary's murder case.

Their recruitment process is so shabby. They need to be sieved and the chaff among them shown the way out, while the remnants should go for an intensive capacity building training.
This advice is excellent...i just pray they will heed to such wise counsels..
Politics / Re: Nigerian Police Show Of Shame by Joeadamu86: 12:49pm On Jan 14, 2013

Politics / Some Journalists Could Be Working For Boko Haram.. by Joeadamu86: 1:49pm On Dec 24, 2012
Sincerely i find it very amazing how some of our so called journalist write about our challenging security situation,at times you just wonder where and how they get their stories, full of sentiments creating fear and apprehension on so many Nigerians.Terror is an evil we must all fight, but it beats my imagination on how the ethics of journalist is gradually eroding by the day, this is a dangerous trend. Our security agencies may have lapses but to be fair to them they have also recorded some feats,i think they be should supported and allowed to do their work, and any journalist found connected to the evil sect should not be spared, cos i suspect that some journalist are working for the Boko Boys...we must all rise up against them.
