Which players have you mentioned?

Regardless of the team you play in you still have to play against the very best in the league. How did he stack up against them? Make we wait till the end of the season then we can say if has regressed or not.

So which players should we compare Nwakali to that you have mentioned?

komekn:
Oniovo wake up from this dream.

Statistics are indicative not entirely conclusive, in addition they have to be seen in the relativity of the quality and or poor quality of the league you are playing in.

I have given in-depth appraisal about the Segundo division and how poor it is particularly teams from 6th position down. When you look at the relegation teams like Ponferradina FC the standard is closer to English non league or at very best English league two.

Years maybe 2018 ago Samba Cardiff City FA had better statistics than Van Dyke Liverpool FC. It was suggested Samba was better than Van Dyke. However, when you look deeper Cardiff spent their time in the EPL defending for their lives , as a consequence statistics show a team fighting to survive by defending it's not QUALITY.

Ponferradina FC have played 25 games and won 6 , you can't have such abysmal statistics in a poor league and think somehow you are Jude Billingham or Iniesta.

The reality is that everywhere that NWAKALI has gone in the past 8 years of his football career he has been poor. He has been very consistent always dropping lower, he is now gone lower and you say he is performing.

As a Midfielder unfortunately unlike forward players who do Well, you generally go down with your team and the failing of the team are attributed to you as well. Add to that the very very poor quality of the team.

I have higher expectations for the SE and unless players are doing excellent in the HERE and NOW I don't talk about them. I look forward to those who are performing .

However , you have lowered the Bar , I challenge you to tell me any player I have Mentioned that Nwakali is Doing Better than in ANY WAY SHAPE or FORM ❓❓ please
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:18am On Feb 04, 2023
No be the same league he dey last season? Is he better this season or not?

charlesemeka85:
which league and club pls? I guess you don’t know how poor and weak the Spanish 2nd tier is 🤣🤣🤣
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:42am On Feb 02, 2023
Abi his stats today shows he is regressing compared to last season for example?

charlesemeka85:
😳
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:41am On Feb 02, 2023
You dey talk long story. What is Nwakali’s position today? One of the top midfielders in the league. If he were a striker and was one of the top goal scorers regardless of the team he plays he won’t be considered a failure.

As a midfielder, he has the stats that can guarantee he won’t go down with his team even if they were relegated.

Abeg refresh my memory on the players you were clamoring for na

komekn:
You deh fall my hand.

Nwakali Started at Arsenal when Saka, Smith Nketiah were 12/13/14 couldn't do ANYTHING.

They sent him to Eerste Division 2nd tier Dutch league Maastricht they promoted him to Venlo in the Eredivise where he played 380 minutes and 9 games they sent him back to Eerste division with Maastricht, too poor and not good enough.

He was without club as nobody wanted him in the lowly second tier of Dutch football Eerste.

As a consequence he was promoted to Porto B, in the lowly Ligaporto. after a few games he was a bench warmer. Nobody wanted him, they returned him to sender

The sender Arsenal were finally able to offload the bad market and Huesca the fall guy Moogo collect him.

Huesca immediately loaned him to a lower club in the Segundo division Alcarcon brought him back and valued him so much he was the the second to the last lowest paid player in Huesca.

Huesca wanted to offload him but nobody interested they then in desperation terminated his contract prematurely before expiry but failed. But on the day of expiry they kicked him out.

He now goes to Ponferradina that is essentially bankrupt and in the bottom of the lowly Segundo division facing relegation.

Oniovo BEECO tell me how that is PROGRESSION ❓❓

Or you want to turn darkness to light
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:03am On Feb 01, 2023
At least Championship na still good league na. The best league after the Top 4 Abi? cheesy

komekn:
Not the players but the clubs.

Because they are panicking and desperate spending crazy money to prevent relegation.

But after all this expenditure three clubs will be demoted to the Championship and then there will tears and gnashing of teeth.

Players will get paid no matter what whether they stay up or go down. So Onuachu will be smiling all the way to the bank .
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:00am On Feb 01, 2023
Kai Nwakali is not on a downward spiral na. Which players have u been talking about? Abeg refresh my memory.

komekn:
This is the same forum players I have talked about 6 season ago I get never ending vitriolic rhetoric and rancourous bitter dislike.

These players have been castigated as FB and not good enough. But somehow Nwakali who has been on a continuous downward spiral for the past 8 years. He had no club for months but still invited to the SE.

Nwakali is in a bankruptcy relegation club in a very poor quality club and league.

And you say the kid is doing good sad shocked shocked cool
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:21am On Feb 01, 2023
Lol may Onuachu no follow gnash teeth. Let the games begin
komekn:
Look at the top 4 goal scorers in the Premier league two of them have come directly from the Championship Mitrovic and Toney.

That should tell you about the Championship quality.

Although Onuachu is best suited to aerial balls and crosses. This is the bread and butter or the EPL and defenders are much more physical and faster.

If they play to Onuachu strength l expecte he will be ok but outstanding and getting 10 goals before the end of the season. There is a lot of desperate panic buying at moment.

There will be tears and gnashing of teeth at the end of the season.

It's a very tightly contested relegation battle , that includes Everton, this has made the top 6 of the championship to have much more quality and depth and yes money ££££££

Nice! Thanks for the insight my bro!

I’ve really been away from happenings here and haven’t had time to do any thorough research. U know say election don dey near and I’ve been in the thick of things to ensure you all vote wisely. wink

TheSuperNerd:
It's really no mystery my good man, Joe. Nice are currently one of the best paying and top financially buoyant sides in France.

They are owned by the richest man in UK via his INEOS Chemicals group.

Also, For the last 3 years or so, they have been putting together a project to propel the side "permanently" to the top of French football. Last season, they hired Ligue 1 winning coach (and Osimhen's former coach at Lille), Christophe Galtier in the summer of 2021 for the the 21/22 season.

Galtier had won the Ligue 1 title with Lille in 20/21 season yet decided to take up the job at Nice thanks to the financial offers he received and the project they were building. It was a stunning move and that was when my attention shifted to Nice because I didn't understand at the time why a guy who just won the league title pipping a super stars-studded PSG in the process didn't wanna stay for UCL football and another run at the title with the squad he built.

I did a little digging then and I found out what I know now. Been following Nice more closely since Galtier joined them and led them to 5th in Ligue 1 last season.

Then PSG came calling and Galtier couldn't resist the opportunity. PSG had to part with a good sum of millions of euros to get their man and current coach, Galtier while Nice had to find a replacement.

So with this background info, you should know Nice are obviously paying Moffi more in terms of sign-on fees and personal contracts. Moffi earns more playing for a decent side in France that stands better financially placed than Lorient and at 23 still has time to keep blowing sh*t up in Ligue 1 (while earning more than he did at Lorient) to finally attract the attention of some of the Bigger Boys in the game within the Top 5 and in France (PSG only).

And oh also, he is guaranteed tremendous playing time.

So, there is no mystery. Nice have a good squad, are under sound management backed by big money and they are ambitious and this could be just Moffi's springboard to the elites in the end. Time will tell.

TheGoodJoe:
Jamie Vardy started 11 games and scored one. Yet he remained the ideal choice. Let Iheanacho start a game and not score, Rodgers will kick him out of squad list for months.
