And Ejaria in comparison

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie:
To complement Ndidi (Ndidi's stats in GREEN), this is what our midfielders bring STATISTICALLY, playing to their FULL potential for Super Eagles:

1st Photo. Expect Onyeka(BLUE) to give similar level of Creativity, Technicality (stats based on ability on the ball) and Attack. Onyeka is known to be a good presser at club level and can choke up the midfield of the opponent, this can potentially reduce the pressure on Ndidi, as Ndidi could focus more on his strengths, think tackles, interceptions etc (Defensive and Positional related stats).

2nd Photo. While Aribo(BLUE) will bring more to the table than Onyeka to compliment Ndidi, in creativity, attack and technique, He would do less to reduce the burden on Ndidi's defensively and tactically.

3rd Photo. Iwobi(BLUE) however offers about 10 points more in creativity, 10 points more in attack, and again 10 points more tecnhically compared to Ndidi. This is huge, compared to what Onyeka and Aribo (at par in attack) brings to compliment Ndidi.

4th Photo. Nwakali(BLUE) stands out technically. But he only leads Iwobi by a point.

5th. Ejaria(BLUE) only trails Nwakali by one point technically, but beats Nwakali by a couple points, a little more or less, in creativity and attack. This may be due to the former being deployed more upfront (winger).

My verdict, Iwobi, Onyeka and Ndidi will form the most balanced midfield.

I am just waiting for the WC to be over. One thing I know we will not be keeping him after Qatar. I hope he achieves something with this SE.

Nigerians don't appreciate what they have until they lose it. Same late Keshi some are celebrating today was called Names and wanted out of the Job, before he delivered our last AFCON Title - even after.

I remember most of Fans at a point were tired of Keshi and hoping on Oliseh to take charge coz of his punditry. Oliseh.... African Pep - LMFAO! You and I know how Oliseh Era with Eagles ended.

Rohr rebuilds the Squad. He transforms the Squad to a winning Team that are comfortably qualifying us for all Competitions - without need for Calculations and Permutations.

What else we need from Rohr? We want to win AFCON? Yes, we want to win it, but are we there yet as a Team? Squad? Rohr is clueless..... yet he never misses any Competitions so far.

We should respect this Man for his loyalty. So loyal to the Country and sacrificing a lot for the Squad to progress. If we sack Rohr today, some of you will rejoice, but premium wailing will end it.

Ola Aina was Torino's top rated player in their home loss to Juventus.
He was subbed off while he was the best player on the pitch statistically at 7.5 points.

He may have been moved to RB at some point. The guy who replaced injured Yiadom is a forward.

Phillip Billing is MOTM.
Has been very influential with goals, playing in advanced midfield this term.

You mean he was moved to right back after Yiadom's injury in the 80th minute?
I did not see the match though.

In other news, Dele Bashiru played as a right back in Reading's 2-1 win, something must be wrong with Reading's coach undecided

Based on the same completeness comparison tool, courtesy of SofaScore, Rohr has picked our best forwards in Osimhen, Onuachu and Iheanacho. It's a no brainer though. lol

Is Onyeka the man to replace Ndidi? Going by the pentagon chart, Onyeka offers similar completeness except for being inferior defensively and tactically (position-related stats).

SofaScore Attribute Overview

The graph takes into consideration the strength of the league as well. While more weight is given to the most recent season, the previous season is also taken into account.

Now let's put Ejaria (blue) in the mix.
They are pretty much at par, not considering Ovie plays in a lower division.

Talk about like-for-like replacement. Eze (blue) still edges Iwobi (green) in creativity, technique and attack. Only if he would come to us. lol

Rohr be like Buhari. You go complain tire, he will remain stuck in his ways. grin
cc12:
Wrong replacement, Iwobi is the main source of creativity in Nigeria's midfield and he has no replacement currently in the Super Eagles team, the midfield is thin and he's being replaced with a striker, when Obinna Nwobodo or even Kelechi Nwakali could have been called up as a replacement. This is Rohr in his vintage daft mode.

I think people follow clubs so seriously that they forget it is country first. Is that not why we are on this thread? There are my threads for those who prefer to pledge their allegiance to clubsides. I would rather want to see Osimhen take us far in a WC than to win top scorer in Italy.
We wish these players the best in their careers just as we dey hustle for our own career. But na for the love of Naija we dey follow them.

Onuachu with the right kind of service will be a beast even in Nigeria's colors. It is always a good thing to have him as an option regardless.

fabyom:
Even Ugo look lost playing as a striker for Genk today.
What Onachu is doing is not appreciated enough!
If he is in his mid-20s, he would not be in Genk this season.

Well, Tomori is not eligible even with FIFA's new eligibility rule, if I am not mistaken. He was already 21 when he played for England. I think Lookman can possibly break into our team. We can rely on our current CBs to take us to the QFs. With the talents at our disposal and the kind of coach we have, we can barely make it to the QFs in Qatar. However, not satisfied with our Midfield depth at the moment, and our RB needs reinforcement.

Modified
I guess same applies to Tammy. Hence, your submission is appropriate.

Blueelf:
You're right

The only English born guy with an edge (a bit sha) is Fikayo Tomori for the CB positions.

Even he makes some mistakes from time to time
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:56pm On Sep 19, 2021
Ejaria matter no be today.
This is one guy I can tell you who never saw Nigeria as a second option. Nigeria has always been FIRST
That said, the matter don reach FIFA tey. I don't really know if he has been cleared yet. But there has been reports that he has been.
He shows this quality in training according to their coach, he just need to bring it on consistently match time, then we won't have to worry about Ebere Eze's commitment, because they are similar players to me, and Iwobi will have some good competition.

Blueelf:
Have we asked himout yet?

He don gree for us yet?

Sorry, I am not current on his status
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:20pm On Sep 19, 2021
It will be very hard for this guy to break into SE today. in fact even Tammy would not have it easy today. We are too loaded in that department with strikers that bring something different. We have high pressers, strikers with good anchor play, great finishers. name it. There is simply no vacancy at the moment. Unless he is scoring hattricks or doing well agains Ajax, e go hard am. The verdict already is Onuachu is a better finisher. That step he took was a mis-step - going to Genk.

with consistency this is the kind of midfielders we should be talking about. Not what "what should have been" biased analysis. See what he did to Adarabioyo for the second goal.
