They have a better team and organization with few exceptional players like Uche okechukwu who was with bronby in Denmark then, a young oliseh from lierse in Belgium, jay jay Frankfurt, yekini setubal, finidi who I will say is the closest above average and siasia who was with Nantes then

It was after the World Cup performance that the door to bigger leagues and clubs were opened to few of the players

The team that showed alot of promise but didn’t progress as expected was the Atlanta 96 Olympic team that made up 80% of the 98 World Cup team

Iike I always say every reasonable football administrator shouldn't throw away gold simply because he got a diamond rather maximise both to your advantage.... we should aim to maximise the FBs and home grown talents to our advantage and not reject one simply because u have gotten the other
