EPL based players may not be released for the Qualifiers. Expect some new names whether Rohr like am or not. |

Excerpts from ESPN's Rohr Interview:
"It is a big challenge to play against Egypt in the first game and a player like Mohamed Salah,”
"It is a big challenge for all our defence and also for all our team. We will defend collectively against him of course, and we are growing together since a few years now and I believe our defence is able to be efficient against such a fantastic player."
“We have a tough group. Egypt, everybody knows and everybody wanted to avoid. But they are with us, it is okay,
"Sudan also. They have a French coach, a friend of mine, who did a good job since he arrived there, coming out from a difficult group. Also, Guinea Bissau is not easy.
"I would like to win against the first two teams, and then I can bring in the third game, as I did in the last Afcon, the substitutes, and give rest to our starting players from the first two matches.
"If we win the first two matches it is not a problem, we are qualified and then we can change our team. But of course, nobody will be underrated, and we are not afraid of anybody.
"I think that the most important is to start well the competition. We will be very, very well prepared. We need to be ready for this first match against Egypt in Garoua." |

No doubt Basco. By default even Rohr, would rate them very highly. But Sudan will prove the most difficult for us in the group to start with. As far at the title is concerned I would make my predictions after the group stage. But we should always get past the QF at least. BascoVanVeli: Egypt always is a threat to win the title. For me they are favorites. Don't forget what is going on with Al Ahly. They have more than enough quality to surround Salah. |

Sudan will be our most difficult opponent in this group. Of course, Egypt is not a team to be underrated, but they would not be a hard nut to crack if Rohr gets his tactics right in the first game. One thing I can say is I expect us to go far in the tournament as usual, but I do not see Rohr steering our ship to victory when it matters most. Fingers crossed. |

tactics suppose change as factors change. That is a true test of a good coach. fabyom: How can you even run with the ball on a pitch like this? I think this match needs Onachu. Remove Musa put Onachu, substitute Akpos for Awaziem. Tell Aina and Awaziem to Long the ball to Onachu's head. I am sure he will score at least one in five of those balls to his head. You don't express players like Aina, Iwobi, Aribo, Akpos, Balogun, Ekong to pass around on this type of pitch. Nearly impossible! |
