Wrong replacement, Iwobi is the main source of creativity in Nigeria's midfield and he has no replacement currently in the Super Eagles team, the midfield is thin and he's being replaced with a striker, when Obinna Nwobodo or even Kelechi Nwakali could have been called up as a replacement. Well, Tomori is not eligible even with FIFA's new eligibility rule, if I am not mistaken. He was already 21 when he played for England. I think Lookman can possibly break into our team. We can rely on our current CBs to take us to the QFs. With the talents at our disposal and the kind of coach we have, we can barely make it to the QFs in Qatar. However, not satisfied with our Midfield depth at the moment, and our RB needs reinforcement.

Based on the talents we have right now, this is the era of strikers all playing upfront. The likes of Osimhen, Sadiq, Moffi, Awoniyi, are mobile and versatile. These players can provide both goals and assists and can switch to the wings and back at any point during match time. They can provide crosses. Something some of our natural wingers struggle to do.
For us to produce the very best results we should only entertain exceptional wingers. For me we have just one at the moment, and that's Chukwueze. And maybe Ademola Lookman if his switch is approved on time.

He knew ahead of time that we will miss several players for the Cape Verde tie, before naming his squad. He's been working with a large pool of players for all these years. We have depth that he should have tested well enough prior to this very moment. He has no excuse not to win in Cape Verde. I will take a draw ONLY because I do not have high expectations of him. I would be so glad if he surprises me.
