Ejimadu was on the bench on Sunday in the ongoing MLS is Back tourney. He's been mentioned here several times. And I think our U23 coach back then was interested in him.

Where is that goalkeeper called Ejimmadu? We should be unearthing these gems instead of all these arguments, enriching Seun through multiplication of pages of useless verbiage and blended with insults and ending in cul de sac.

Where is that guy that Rennes signed from their youth academy? How far with Amoo?

I don't want to even wade into the matter at hand or I would also be called an a*licker. lol.
If you say a striker sees an open net and he will balloon the ball, does it imply the striker has always done so?
Where is the logic? However, dribbling doesn't necessarily have to be Iheanacho's strong point to be a good striker.

First, let me ask you what is the meaning of elite?

ChrisKels:
Did you see "if any" at the end of the statement? Well that is a different story.

Now, tell me, how does it suggest so?

For WC everybody go show face, although I know most here are concerned more about bragging rights in Africa.

I'm saying with all the praise singing, we want to see that translate to performance when it matters most. And we are most concerned about our national teams. If it were club football alone I won't even be on this thread. There are several threads with football club fans on them. Consider the title of this thread. If Zaidu for example is the best LB, let him bring that to the NT.

andrewbaba44:
How do you mean by this statement ?

What is grievance? Prove I have a grievance with anyone here. Just one moniker.

Saying his stats is typical of an elite midfielder suggests so.

ChrisKels:
Forget whatever grievances you may have against anybody, if any. Be honest, did anyone here call K Nwakali an elite midfielder? Yes or No?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:12pm On Jul 21, 2020
Everything still culminates at the AFCON and WC. That's the main reason why we are here. The results will speak for the quality we have.

Edopesin:
It's happening all over again, Osimhen and Iheanacho are now better than Gabriel Jesus smh

Some arguments are not worth having with some people in this thread
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:10pm On Jul 21, 2020
What do you expect? The day K. Nwakali gets a 8.0 rating what will be he tagged if he is already considered among the elite midfielders? Even several adjectives have been used for the way he passes the ball etc. Maybe someday he will be praised for the way he strolls into the pitch when he is subbed in. Wetin we never see for here?

sheyishemba:
Actually I only raised concern bout his loss of possession I raised this point against zaidu sanusi here sometimes
It not actually cool for a so called a typical central elite midfielder playing segunda to be losing those possessions some people here claimed he is so good on the ball ....the was the reason I raised an objection but his fanboys no allow person rest
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:12pm On Jul 21, 2020
Osimhen is on the right track. Not a finished striker. Still has room to develop. Napoli will be a good challenge. If he succeeds there, the sky is the limit for him.
andrewbaba44:
I don’t rate osi low

But you are the one that don’t follow football to think osimhen will have a chance at city

Make we self Dey talk true at times

What happened to Aguero if I may ask for that question mark you put up there

You said if given the chance but you know he won’t be given the chance at that team as far as pep is there .

I Dey realistic no mean say I no rate player

Even man united or Chelsea self osimhen won’t be given the chance there .

I should be the one asking if you follow football or not
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:09pm On Jul 21, 2020
People have analyzed Osimhen’s attributes to see if he is good for how Napoli is set up to play and opinions have differed. I agree with everything else you said !
komekn:
There is nothing in any contract that guarantees you get a starting spot.

They manager can promise you everything but if its not written it's just a promise to be easily broken.

When Balotelli came to Liverpool Brendan Rogers promised him everything but gave him nothing. If you ask Raheem why he left Liverpool it was primarily because of broken promises by Brendan.

When people buy experienced strikers a reason is adaptability and consistency.

Nobody has assessed Osimhen attributes and how they will converge with the style of play in Napoli and Seria A. We just assume.

Serious players do a lot of personal homework about a team even before they touch the first ball. The managers philosophy, the team ethos, the influencing characters in the team. Those yoi need to make your friends so you can succeed, etc, etc.

The work starts now.

Igbekeme clearly has had a better career even in the lower leagues than Nwakali. There is no debating that.
However football is present and continuous performance. If Nwakali rises above Igbekeme based on consistent performance I will say it as it is.
But no one can lie when the facts are glaring.

Edopesin:
So in your opinion that stats worth the hype? Didn't you see where I said it is average or do you think it is better than average because Nwakali is the one here

I guess we should not look at the lost possessions and 1 off target shot so we can praise him grin

Igbekeme is pulling better stats but he is not called an elite player

Who goes up to Primera in LaLiga? How is the promotion play-off, when does it start, matches, teams and schedules
Last update 5 hours ago

Cádiz and Huesca have already sealed their ticket to the elite; Zaragoza, Almería, Girona and Elche or Fuenlabrada will play the Playoff.
There are three teams that rise from Second to First Division in Spanish football . The two teams classified in first and second position in the table do so directly and a third by way of the 'play-off' , which faces in direct knockout stages those classified between 3rd and 6th position in the table .

Who goes up to Primera in LaLiga ?

The first two classifieds of the Second Division , also known as the SmartBank League, rise directly at the end of the season: in 2019-20 it is about Huesca and Cádiz . The team from Cádiz got it first, on July 12 , while the Catalan team confirmed their ticket to Primera five days later. However, Huesca ended up being the champion.

With Cádiz and Huesca already in the First Division, it should be remembered that the third promotion to the elite of Spanish football is going to be defined in the coming days with a PlayOff that will be played by the teams that finish in the third, the fourth, the fifth and in the sixth position of the classification . Right now, those teams are Zaragoza , Almería , Girona and Elche , respectively. Of course, Fuenlabrada played its game against the already relegated Deportivo La Coruña, an encounter that was canceled due to the positive cases of Covid-19 coronavirus that there were in the Madrid team.

How is the promotion play-off, when does it start, matches, teams and schedules

The dates of the matches had already been determined, but the postponement of Deportivo - Fuenlabrada has modified the plans. However, it is speculated that these will be the dates:

Semifinals first leg
Elche or Fuenlabrada against Zaragoza: August 2 (probable)
Girona vs. Almería: August 2 (probable)

Semifinals 2nd leg
Zaragoza against Elche or Fuenlabrada: August 5 (probable)
Almería against Girona: August 5 (probable)

Final
Outbound: August 8 (probable)
Return: August 11 (probable)

Seyi the problem I see here is that some people here can push some of us to become less balanced and not want to accept where Nwakali may do well and try to see some faults. Yes Nwakali has been hyped over and over again but that does not stop us from saying it as it is. I don't think loss of possession was one of his weak points.

Just for comparison, I have attached one of James Igbekeme's best games this year. In that said game (see attachment 1), he lost possession 27 times but still ended with an overall impressive rating of 7.9. This must be due to more weight put on goals scored. Loss of possession does not take away much points from a player because it can be attributed to different criteria (see attachment 2) e.g "Ball Control: Losing possession due to lack of trap ability or passer’s bad pass, "Passing to a Marked Player: Losing possession due to pass to a marked player rather than an unmarked player". Again look at "Clearance" and "Illegal Movement descriptions. So you see, on paper it always looks like losing possession 9 times is a big deal but it could have happened in different circumstances. You can only have a good look at it if you actually watched the match. Now also take into consideration Huesca's highest rated player of the night, Eugeni Valderrama, He lost possession 6 times but spent 64 minutes on the pitch. The goal scorer who is also a midfielder, Cristo González, lost possession 15 times spending a considerable less time on the pitch compared to Nwakali. That said, we must always say it as it is. Nwakali won 6 ground dwells out of 10, He was able to find his man 3 out of 6 long ball attempts. Those were his good points. Not elite, not exceptional but a good start for him. This was a big game for Nwakali especially coming from where he has been over the years. Will he carry this into preseason and hopefully be a regular starter in La Liga. I hope so, If he doesn't I will always be here to say it as it is again as a proper hype detector grin

sheyishemba:
I've said earlier the quality of the league is the difference ....if nwakali is losing possession in man united I won't have pointed this out coz of the quality and competition in the league

Whether you like it or not, any player with dual nationality turns up for us when they are not good enough for their resident/birth country. Until our local league is high in standards we'd be looking to getting those who see us as 2nd options.

I have once said it here that lost possession count is not as bad as it looks in paper. 9 in 90 minutes is very good. I would explain what lost possession entails.

JayromWrites:
Bros!! Y'all want to use his lost possession to ridicule him

So you can't praise him for having 90% pass accuracy because it's Segunda Division right

Like it's not football that is played there

Slightly above is more accurate than elite. I won’t call it average. It’s def above average. But “Elite”? If it was done consistently then I wouldn’t call it a hype.

Most Players with dual national affiliation see Nigeria as a second option. I can prove that to you even with MOST of the players that have committed to us based on what they have said on record. Don’t make it an England thing.
