I proposed a dream team of coaches. I believe they each have their strengths. His undoing na egunje.. Icon4s: Manu that doesn't know tactics. His own is all pace and power. He taught those kids nothing. They obviously played with their raw talents. |

The state of our national teams -- my proposal
We need to start our next U17 program now. A new coach contracted with a very attractive salary Finidi George to be assisted by Fidelis Ilechukwu Scouting must start in earnest at different levels
Manu Garba should be contracted with the U20s. He should be given a chance to undo his wrongs with the same pool of players he worked with for the period of time he scouted the team and screened the last U17 team. He should be given the ultimatum to inject any deserving players outside this pool. He should be assessed based on test games as early as possible. Emmanuel Amuneke will give him the needed tactical cover. Yes they should work together again, and maybe Nduka Ugbade as well.
Our U23 coach, Imama, should be sacked regardless of the outcome of the Tokyo Olympic qualifiers. The team should be taken over by a newly appointed tactical assistant to Gernhot Rohr. Rohr's new assistant should also be saddled with CHAN duties. The man I have in mind is Michael Emanalo. But can we pay him?
The Super Falcons should be taken over by Maureen Nkeiruka Mmadu. |

I agree totally darkelf: You're right about this. Although I rate him 50% on his abilities as a coach (and I feel he needs refresher courses or a tactical assistant), its not a lie that merit determines team selection for the Super Eagles now and 90% of players merit their place |

I don’t believe in jinxes. You get the result if whatever u put in. solonnachi: I THINK OUR NATIONAL TEAMS HAVE BEEN JINXED First the Falcons were knocked out by Cote d'Ivoire in the race to the Olympics now our U23 eagles lost 0-1 to the same CIV.
Golden Eaglets with all the individual talents were knocked out in the 2nd round.
God show mercy!!! |

Thank u! Stability is good, but there has to be a way forward. Can we take Nigerian football where it’s never been? Mujtahida: Rohr is outdated but what are our other options. We want stability, we also want to win. With Rohr we have stability but its the stability of a car stuck in a rut. The question how do we get to move, to play winning football? |

We need coaches that will be zero tolerant to egunje. However I won’t deny that Amuneke is tactically sound. We should give him a try. Because if we are not adding a good assistant to this managerial team I don’t expect much progress with this team. TheSuperNerd: Why can't Amuneke work with this man Rohr? Amuneke knows how to set up his team attacking wise and is quite tactical.
Unless ofcourse we are reasoning a foreign tactical assistant. |

Though I'm New in here but I must confess that the future of the proposed award holds nothing but positivity.
And I want to streamline my interest to reflect the suggestion of the TheSuperNerd too by increasing the committee members Tally to engage the super 8 from the above.
