why do you think we have poor leaders generally in this country? The mentality is everywhere. Only a few Nigerians stand out. charlesemeka85: It is disgraceful and dishearting to see few elements in this thread working so hard to bring division to current super eagles set up by labeling kids who has fundamental human rights as foreign born just because they were born and groomed abroad.
This nonsense should stop! This kids re equally Nigerians and I will even boast more Nigerian that so many of us here. This is the same nonsense that have been perceived in the nff technical committee which have slowed down the approach to get some of this kids who re good enough for our various teams.
I got an information yesterday why ebere eze's invitation to the national team have been delayed. I learnt the nff technical committee were agitating that Rohr is hell bent on infusing so many European born players to the super eagles at the expense of home grown talents and secondly that Eze is still unproven in the championship and for these reasons do not deserve a chance in the super eagles yet.
Rohr took notice of eze's qualities as a natural play maker when he trained with the team in UK few years ago and penciled him down as a possible replacement for aging John obi mikel but because of the fear of an outburst from the nff and football fans back home who will tag his team a team of 2nd Division players he had to delay the lads invite hoping he makes the leap to the epl or any top division in Europe.
Alot are happening behind the scene but Rohr have been very calm and as well handling issues professionally not to letting things out to the media.
It's high time we change this mentality of ours and accept this kids as our own notwithstanding where they were given birth in or groomed. Selection of players to our various national teams should be on an open ground where only the best will be picked to build a formidable team.
And to those with this mindset your hate is worst than racism! |

Osimhen is clearly the top CF in the Super Eagles since Ighalo's retirement. Rohr invited Osimhen for the Ukraine friendly and also stated he didn't invite some others because of the U23. My question to you is who would rohr have invited in Imama's list? BascoVanVeli: So would you pick Dennis over Osimhen? The question should always be about him then we can go from there.
He could have had only a certain number of foreign players to invite. The NFF would throw him under the bus if this was really his complete list. |

Style Of Play "For us, at this Club and LAFC, we need a goalkeeper that's able to play out of the back and be comfortable in situations when you're under pressure but also recognizes that our team is going to push high and we are going to leave ourselves exposed at times. So we need someone who's got that ability to make a play and make a save." - Tyler Miller
Newcomers "Every goalkeeper has their own personality. For me, my personality is being aggressive and commanding the team." - Phillip Ejimadu
To start 2019, LAFC brought in two newcomers to its goalkeeping corps.
Phillip Ejimadu and Pablo Sisniega come to LA with two very different backgrounds and styles.
Ejimadu is a raw talent at just 19. He has a commanding presence in goal and arrives at LAFC having spent the last five years in Brazil. His reflexes and ability to close down opponents in 1v1 situations have been his strengths. While he'll admit learning to play with his feet as much as LAFC requires is the steepest learning curve he is facing.

SE HOPEFULS BEST XI (ROUND 4)
CENTER-FORWARD David Okereke returns to our line-up by virtue of his goals tally all season long. However, his return to the league of SE Hopefuls is not connected to his recent performance on the pitch, but due to Tammy Abraham's shutting down interests from Nigeria until future notice. After firing another brace for Chelsea, it seemed Tammy's place in the team this week was guaranteed, but not until his latest utterances which made him sound rather like a Three-Lions Hopeful. ADVANCED MIDFIELD Our line up is unchanged, considering there have been no solid threats to Ebere Eze, Sheyi Ojo and Abdul Ajagun all season. Nevertheless, a few other SE hopefuls can make the team subsequently if they put in more work to improve their season stats. One worthy mention is Ibrahim Rabiu whose assist was instrumental to Slovan Bratislava knocking out Esiti's PAOK in Europa League Qualification. Rabiu can make a push for a return to the Super Eagles if he can help his side surmount three mountains in their Europa League group -- Braga, Wolves, and Besiktas. CENTER/DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD We have only one change in this department. Ramon Azeez takes over from Kingsley Michael who missed out from Bologna's match-day squad after a loan move to Serie B side, Cremonese. Azeez, came off the bench to complete Granada's 3-0 trouncing of away side Espanyol. Although he has been used as a CM this current season, he was deployed as an AM, RB and DM as well by Almeria last season. The former Golden Eaglets midfielder have only managed to play 54 minutes after 3 rounds of matches this season, but has never fell with Granada as he was not fielded in their only loss to Sevilla. Azeez will have to maintain his fine form to avoid being upstaged by Obiora Nwankwo. The latter has played as a DM for 360 minutes in all competition this season for Boavista, and have been unintentionally ignored in our previous SE Hopefuls Best XIs. Ovie Ejaria keeps his spot in CM. He is the highest rated player overall (WhoScored 7.70 Rating) in the Championship for the month of August and so far this season. Also, worthy of mention in CM is Midtjyland's Frank Onyeka, who has been in the thick of action for the Danish SuperLigaen table toppers, leading them to 7 wins and 1 draw out of 8 in the current season FULLBACKS Felix Agu has been one of Osnabrueck's most outstanding players this season and has been featured mostly as a RWB. But he retains his position on LB a position he has played once this season. Fellow German-based full back, Kingsley Ehibueze keeps his position in RB after he added 45 mins to his tally in FC Colgone's 2-1 win at Freiburg. CENTER-BACK Ike Opara keeps his place, and is closely chased by Felix Uduokhai, who made his Augsburg debut during the weekend. Also, Fikayo Tomori holds down the CB spot for the third consecutive week, as the NFF have started to make moves to get the junior English international to dump England. NFF Chairman, Amaju Pinnick watched from the stands as Tomori made his full EPL debut for Chelsea over the weekend in their draw to visiting Sheffield United. GK. Austin Ejide could not prevent Hapoel Hadera from going down as he let the ball past him 3 times in their away loss to Beer Sheva. Taking his place, 20 year old Phillip Ejimadu is rewarded for not only making Los Angeles FC's bench 8 times in the MLS, but also for being one of the top Goal Keepers in the American 3rd-tier in terms of shut-outs posted. With the introduction of Ejimadu, let the discussion begin. Who among SE's current keepers will make LA FC's bench? Maybe only Uzoho. Consequently, he deserves a look in ASAP as he has declared to play for Nigeria.

Una no see my u23 list? I get 7 head? charlesemeka85: Na em be the problem. Imagine when a player like chidera Ejike would have been invited instead of players from the Austrian 2nd tier and Portuguese 3rd tier.
From the little I saw in the match the midfield and flanks weren't working with only azubuike trying to make an impact from the middle. I don't blame awoniyi because a striker can't deliver when he is starved of the ball.
I hope they correct the mistake in the 2nd leg |

Does your under 23 have a better offensive midfielder? Etebo plays in the same league, does he have better stats??
It is not by belief.. You can not keep ignoring a player and expect him to play for you.
Right now, Ebere is not tied so he does not need a switch.
Once he plays for the England under 21s, we have complicated the matter and he will need a switch. |

Waste of money but not waste man lol komekn: THANK YOU
Unrepentantly and unequivocally l called him a WASTEMAN quote me correctly. And what is he now a confirmed WASTEMAN or a recovering one the choice is yours.
First of all l will admit to having insider information about him indepth. I also know a lot more about his near £13 million transfer to Watford. But that's not particularly relevant.
Reports I was getting were about attitude in training, focus and discipline and they were Very poor. I said in a post ages ago. That l found it incomprehensible how someone can leave the multifaceted challenges of life in Nigeria go on a football journey get to England and become a complete indisciplined spoiled brat. Was too me most DISSAPOINTING.
Not much longer after l said this , (please check my posts.) He ended up fighting in a hotel with three prostitutes refusing to pay after getting drunk and unable to perform. WHAT A MONUMENTAL DISGRACE.
Watford are not a rich club after paying near £13 million for a forward player you expect a return on your investment. Well 40+ games now in fourth season in Watford he has scored 2 goals. What would you call that a commensurate return on capital . Or a failed investment and therefore what a WASTE of money. Add recalcitrant with simply very poor behaviour and gross indiscipline and you get a complete WASTEMAN.
If that's what you call negative prejudice bias against a player because he was born in Nigeria then we have different value systems.
But what you would like to do is paint over the bad behaviour and make excuses that' for the inexcusable that's nepotism and double standard. Sorry that's not me l call a spade a spade. |
