I fear oh.. Those of us that said we should not make a second attempt on him have been vindicated. not to talk of those that said even if he returns we should never accept him. Anyways he remains a Nigerian. He will continue to hoist the Nigerian flag, but clearly his heart is with England. charlesemeka85: Tammy should be a forgotten issue. The nff tried their best but the bobo's mind is set on playing for england. We wish him well |

Competition always I like that. Anyone who is performing should be welcome to fight for a shirt. Someone like Samu will not be selfish if he knows the next moment someone else will take his starting spot. We need to promote competition always and excellence. Odunayaw: After 4 goals and a good number of assist? Is that not the same report card of Aribo? I think we need another left footed RW to make Chukwueze stand on his toes. I was very pissed with his display against Ukraine |

Tega is British. We have made several attempts already.. So forget the matter! komekn: [sup][/sup]
My football proposition substantiated.
Two outstanding lions from the Championship are currently dominating the EPL. Yet many will day the Championship is too poor in quality for us to be selecting players for the SE.
Our most consistent and arguably top performing midfield players Etebo plays in the Championship. And he us not the most outstanding.
As it stands currently Ebere Eze and Ovie Ejaria are outperforming him. Yet they haven't been invited.
The best CB in the Championship last season IMO was Fikayo. It seems he has transfered that ability to the EPL.
I remember when Tega Abrahams was being slated some even said he is not as good as Sadiq Umar. Some even said he is no where on the level of KC such extreme delusional thinking. I know one person who said he is only a Championship striker that's his level, whatever that means.
Tega Abrahams has scored 7 goals in 5 games he is now the top goal scorer in the EPL.
All the detractors and those giving him dogs abuse have gone quite I WONDER WHY. |

so it's now local coach vs Rohr. Rohr needs a very sound tactical assistant. He has enough Nigerian assistants already. So preferably a PROVEN tactically, foreign assistant. Sportilitica: Honestly, i really hope he can step aside then we can bring in a local coach or anyone of your choice. But don't come back and complain again o. We largely have average players and some potentials who need time to understand each other. Rohr is conservative, yes but a lot of players seem to be benefitting from him directly or indirectly and that us what we need. In a year or two we should have good players in the team then we can speak of tactics |

Agreed ChrisKels: Please what's this yeye African football some folks keep giving as an excuse to sideline the foreign born players here? African football, yet the best Africa teams still struggle to beat third rated European Teams? My people, it is techniques over physicality.
The Aribo I saw AGAINST UKRAINE is exactly what our midfield needs. If he maintains or improves on his display against Ukraine, which was even his debut, then, Etebo would sit for him. Boy's transition from defense to attack trumps Etebo's, he passes better(goal oriented passes), and above all, he is a goal threat.
I envisage a midfield combo of Ndidi, Aribo and Iwobi in October. |

Which OGN correspondent interviewed the Ukrainian coach? TheSuperNerd: It Was Like Watching Brazil Play – Ukrainian Journalist On Super Eagles First Half Display In Draw Against Ukraine
A lot of people who watched the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Ukraine were left surprised the way the Nigerian team took the game to the host team in the opening 45 minutes which ended with Nigeria leading 2-0.
The game ended in a 2-2 draw with Ukraine scoring twice in the second half but according to Ukrainian Journalist Stanislav Roman, the first half performance of the Super Eagles is similar to watching Brazil in full flow.
Roman said the way the Nigerians were confident on the ball and also the running off it left the backline of Ukraine confused and even coach of the team Andriy Shevchenko admitted after the game that his wards couldn’t keep up with the pace of the Nigerians.
He said the trio of Samuel Chukwueze, Samuel Kalu and Victor Osimhen can wreck any team in the world if they play with such neck breaking speed as seen in the first half of the draw against Ukraine two days ago.
”It was like watching Brazil play to be honest. That was the best 45 minutes any team can ever wish for. They were not just good on the ball but off it they kept making runs that left the defence of Ukraine confused. The front three can trouble any team with the pace with which they played the first 45 minutes “, Roman told Owngoalnigeria.com.
”They probably got tired in the second half but if not for the chances they fail to convert they would have rounded up the game before the first goal scored by Ukraine. Ukraine national team were taught a very good lesson by the Nigerians “.

What do U expect when all people dream of is winning the AFCON and qualifying for WC? tbaba1234: Algeria won the nations cup with technique not the usual attributes associated with African football. In my opinion, Aribo is more effective. He gets into the box from the midfield and that gives him a chance to get more goals.
Etebo is a good player but i feel that he sometimes over-elaborates on the ball. People might see that and say baller but it kills attacks.
Technique beats power every day of the week. Do European team not smash Africans in competitions? |

yes, like-for-like subs. Most of them should have played. The first half gave us a snapshot of what our starting 11 can do. The players needed to return to their clubs without being overworked. We are still in the process of testing players. Of what good is it that most in the bench didn't play? It's not like I'm expecting Rohr to improve tactically over 90 mins. He is not going to learn any new tricks at his age. He needs a tactically sound coach to assist him. Sportilitica: People fail to notice this aspect. It is a friendly and we need to see everyone play if possible |
