I don’t know about his person, but calling a spade a spade, there are several Attacking Midfielders ahead of him that have not been given a chance in the GWG.

ChrisKels:
Nwakali seems to be too proud, hence I dont see him doing any wonders, unless he bends down now. Just look at his mates Osimhen already starter for Wolfsburg bfor the injuries and now, for chaleroi also, orji a starter at bologna, Sammy Chuks a starter at Villarreal, yet these guys remain humble whereas Nwakali is already seeing himself as a star just because of one inconsequential off - season scrimmage against ATM. imagine him saying he deserves a shirt in the super eagles that his call up was long over due. Even before his call up, dude was already bragging that he aint gonna miss any of the Eagles matches after that world cup failure, to him, he was already a mainstay even bfor he was invited. The other day, he was asking some fans to DM him their account numbers on Instagram, just because they praised a pic he uploaded. The is boy is too proud that he feels he has arrived not knowing he hasn't even taken any step, if he doesnt change and concentrate, I am afraid, he is headed for destruction. I dont really have high hopes on him. Kingsley Michael is the one I have got my eyes on in that midfield, not KC Nwakali.

I don’t think it was just a question, but I’ve long let it slide. See I didn’t even put your moniker to memory.

Humility017:
I only asked you a question that day...and i never called you one...
I asked if your call for Tammy was because you too came from same place...?
and safarigurl replied differently...

you've never displayed such an attitude base to make someone to affirm you a tribalist.

but unlike the moniker you quote
trust me whenever I canvass for players here...I don't even know where they hail from...all that matters to me Is that they're Nigerians.

Some people allow others choose their leaders, others realise that one man cannot lord over millions. When no be say he be God. Background determines what is viewed as normal and what is abhorred.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:08pm On Oct 02, 2018
And u can do both. grin
komekn:
In Lagos you do not need to be corrupt. You an be unethical depending on how you look at it and make a lot of money from commercial positioning of your assets and insider knowledge to gain competitive advantage.

And that's is without stealing any public money.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:53pm On Oct 02, 2018
Let states control their resources and watch that change over time. My brother they know their IGR will not come near half of the allocation from FG. They lack motivation because of easy money.

tbaba1234:
No one is asking states to become as rich as Lagos but in many states IGR is almost non-existent.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:48pm On Oct 02, 2018
you have said it all.
safarigirl:
thank you. You understand

Any dimwit can rule Lagos, it is also easy to chop from Lagos. Lagos has the only functioning seaport in Nigeria, one can only imagine how much tax returns they make per day

Attributing the success of Lagos to one man is wrong. Tinubu did nothing that someone with small sense cannot do. That is how people think Donald Duke did well for Cross River and Akpabio also did well for Akwa-Ibom. These people steal massively from states and feed the people crumbs and the people in turn, celebrate basic things

The only state that deserves kudos despite poor leadership is Abia, because they have never had a reasonable leader and they don't even have the apparatus in place for anything, but the IGR still manages to be high.

Other states? Name them. To achieve what Lagos have achieved you will have to try 10 times as hard but will still fall short. The circumstances there have always been favorable.

tbaba1234:
Building the revenue collection capacity of the state is an achievement.

There are several states in Nigeria that have good revenue generation potential but have not done it.

Tinubu built grassroots support that will be difficult to dislodge.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:21pm On Oct 02, 2018
Lagos was fully dependent on the FG because they failed to regulate their tax system. But the foundation has been there. The companies has been there. That’s only what needed to be fixed to boost their internal revenue. Lagos will always remain the first stop in the nation for any foreign investment interest. Is it any Lagos state governor’s doing. The foundation has already been there from out colonial past.

I can rule Lagos and chop plenty money but sill do something and the people will hail me. There is so much to chop.

tbaba1234:
Obj refused to send allocations to Lagos for years. At that time, Lagos was fully dependent on federal allocation. Tinubu was the one who was able to boost IGR to the extent that Lagos now does not need federal allocation to survive. Lagos is now richer than many African Countries.

The difference is Lagos from 1999 to now is massive.

Ofcourse, being a federal capital was important but that does not tell the full story.

Ofcourse, Lagos has been stolen from but work has also been done. Lagos can be better governed but amongst Nigerian states, it is by far one of the best.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:16pm On Oct 02, 2018
You are very intelligent! Very well said.
safarigirl:
Lagos has been well stolen from.

Lagosians have been thoroughly cheated and all they have to show for it is short life span and ten hours in traffic every day

If Tinubu had the Midas touch, he should have spread it out to other states in the South West, especially his own home state of Osun.

Lagos is benefiting from being a Federal Project. There was never a time they had 'nothing'

I don’t think there is a battle between Etebo and Eze. However, Mikel’s omission should have given room for Eze. We could have sacrificed Shehu who is not match-fit. Nine defenders were listed if I’m not mistaken.

forgiveness:
I don't think he really knows what he is doing. If he does, how can he live out Eze who is out performing Etebor in the same championship league?

Sentiments is all I see in his selection many times.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:05am On Oct 02, 2018
Only one moniker has called me a tribalist, and safarigirl rightly tagged his claim baseless. Just for fact sake, I have supported players from my tribe when they perform and given them a knock when they don’t, just as I have done for other players. There is no single player I have remained loyal to no matter the weather. I THINK that sets me apart from MANY monikers here.

forgiveness:
What is my problem after what some of us said here about Iheanacho poor performance last season was confirmed by many neutral pundits?

Are dey also tribalist? grin

You may have soft spot for a particular tribe though you are not from there but on the other hand hate a particular tribe. That alone qualified you as a tribalist. Check your soul and don't lie to yourself. grin

'Everyone' you're talking about are 99% from one tribe. As you can see, it doesn't add up. grin

If people should be put in positions because they can deliver, what is the problem if players that can deliver are mentioned regardless of where the player and person who mention them comes from?

Even Komekn and Joebie were called tribalist because they rightfully mentioned Tammy and Onomah. But if the same fellows mention their tribes men, they are holy, righteous and perfect like God. Hahahaha! grin

Is that not getting out of hands? Is that not one form of intimidation?

Well, you may have succumbed but I refuse to. I will mention players good enough to play for the NIGERIAN NATIONAL Team even if those players are from one particular tribe. EOD

Now, answer why were you crying APC rigged Osun state election? grin

Don't tell me you hate APC for no reason. grin

TheSuperNerd:
Chaaiii... The thought of it makes me shiver. Lol... But he didn't play AM against Seychelles even in Iwobi's absence. Nacho was deployed there instead. I think Etebo will be on the bench again against Libya.

Etebo as CM, yes! Etebo as DM, oh yes! Etebo as Box-to-box in a 4-3-3, fantastic! Etebo as Makeshift LM, still ok... But as AM? Biko, no give me bad dreams abeg. angry

Danielnino00:
You are right.. problem is that his club form isn't replicated in the national team...
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:43pm On Oct 01, 2018
His club form is excellent. We can’t take that away from him. It’s not like there is a guarantee the other forwards we have will bang that number of goals there.

Danielnino00:
Ighalo.is a smart man grin

He went to the chinko league where he knew he would score well.. Then grabbed his chance against Cameroon and cemented the CF role.

In as much as I want him out,I gotta admit he will stay longer in the team... Already has 18 goals in China this season...
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:41pm On Oct 01, 2018
Na Etebo go play AM lol

TheSuperNerd:
Let the K.Nwakali baking in the Oven continue. I wholeheartedly agree.

But with no natural AM on that list of midfielders in Mikel's absence, I hope Rohr can look the way of Ebere Eze in the nearest future. The kid is another real deal talent in the CAM role.

And yes, Iwobi is wayyy above any of the CAM prospects we are even looking at be it K.Nwakali, Ebere Eze or even Ejaria. But I hope Rohr deploys him there oooo coz Rohr sees Iwobi as an LM and LW first and I hope that changes soonest. I really hope to see Rohr deploy Iwobi in the AM role since we have the likes of Simon Moses and Onyekuru on the left in this list. Even Ahmed Musa is present (even though he can also be deployed as a CF- best in a two man attack).

We go see shaa.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:40pm On Oct 01, 2018
That’s one area I will continue to fault him. Abi he wants to wait till next WC before he realizes we lack GK backup. Ezenwa and Akpeyi agents dey pay better money o grin

Danielnino00:
One of Enyimba player has been called up by Benin republic for their afcon qualifier self.
Maybe Rohr is still rewarding Ezenwa for his display last year against Cameroon grin
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:38pm On Oct 01, 2018
Rohr keeps faith in Ighalo.

Danielnino00:
Just 4 midfielders eh? .Perhaps we will see Iwobi in the no.10 role .
I wonder why Mikel didn't make d list .He is back from injury already.

Simmy exclusion is no surprise at all.. Simon injury has made him stay that long..Would have preferred him to Ighalo though grin

Still a very good list...
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:36pm On Oct 01, 2018
I will have to research on that because Rohr started with a void in our RB position.
komekn:
As it stands currently under normal circumstances Dominic does not merit a call up.

However, I used the term normal circumstances.

But I was referring to the period when he was a regular for Wolves who were in the Championship at the time. He made is commitment and Rohr even visited him.

However, he invited to camp a few youth players but not Dominic.

I am asking people to not be superficial but have some depth in looking at the issues. Considering the involvement of Dominic senior in contesting presidency with Amaju.

Is it wrong knowing how our politics of election always ends in animosity, rancour and hostility. To speculate as to thier being other reasons for his exclusion.
