Rohr is PROBABLY not in full control of his list? Come oh komekn and forgiveness. Come to the feast. Danielnino00: Yea.. that's what I mean in my last paragraph..
But we can't entirely blame Rohr for that .
For one thing,we don't.know if he has full control regarding players call up... I remember reading somewhere that the.NFF technical committee will b assessing his list before it's released.. That was after the South Africa game.. Maybe the NFF want to play it cool now to avoid another Tammy saga...
Rohr has called up some foreign born players since he took over,so I don't think he has something against calling up Eze,Billing and the likes.... |

invites is meaningful for players who have other options. It is a bold statement that we have them in our plans. We are not spoilt for options at AM. Eze is a special case. The opposite is the case for Henry and Kalu who are wingers. BascoVanVeli: Did Henry and Kalu get early meaningful invites? If a player is not capped then his invite is not meaningful to our conversation because England U20 would still invite him. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:28pm On Oct 05, 2018 |
We need to invite him so we don’t have to worry about paperwork in future. Danielnino00: Left to me,I'm not too worried about Eze's call up by the England.. Since he already admitted that he is willing to play for us,we can still get him..Playing for the England youth team doesn't mean otherwise... Iwobi,Aina and Moses all played for the England youth team too..
Though Rohr messed up big time by not calling him up so we could cap him quick! |

We are talking early meaningful invites here to the deserving, regardless of where they are based. So why is it your problem that they happen to carry 2 passports? BascoVanVeli: They both have zero senior caps so what edge are u implying? So u are saying Afeez Aremu and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi also have an edge because they trained with the team before their WCQ matches? You are just searching.. |

The dual nationals were never developed by us, so what stopped us from developing the home-grown unproven talents? Somebody dey help you develop more options una dey here showing sentiments. Abi the NPFL don better pass the French League1? How many times dem don win World Cup? Give France chance una go know how far. Danielnino00: Tell them.jare... I don't know why some people want us to be giving preferential treatment to these foreign born players... Rather than focusing on foreign born players, let the NFF focus more time and resource in developing our own home grown talents... |

What gave Nwakali an edge? 4 passports? BascoVanVeli: I don't agree. 2 passports should not give u an edge on other players. If other players are waiting then he can do the same thing. If he won't wait then he can go. |

Rohr should go ahead and hand Eze a late invite. As it stands he wouldn’t need a change of allegiance, but not until England caps him at the U20 level |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:57pm On Oct 05, 2018 |
Yes meaningless matches but shows strong intent regardless. Inviting a player to fly over to Nigeria says a lot. The Nwakalis didn’t just get one invite. BascoVanVeli: What does that have to do with anything? Does any of that amount to a cap that would keep England away? You are the same person that joined me in saying these matches were meaningless. |

Modified Even if na nonconsequencial match like that Weah exhibition sef. BascoVanVeli: So training with the Super Eagles isn't showing interest?
Arsenal star (on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion), Akpom, Chelsea defender, Aina, Queens Park Rangers player Ebere Eze and Sunderland's Josh Maja all trained with the Super Eagles on Monday, March 27.

I talk say make we pursue all? When we can’t even spot the best and be clearly ahead of England early, what do u call that? It’s always going to be another media drama. Truidstar: Sir Joebie, we can't pursue all of the above mentioned. The NFF is working hard behind the scenes. They wantbto avoid a repeat of the Tammy situation. If we bag 2-3 of the above mentioned, bi think that is enough. Even England can't cap all of them at full international level. |

You mean the way we used and dumped Aluko And other dual-nationals I’ve said it before. The mindset that focuses on whether the player will win or lose eventually is a faulty one. We should be focusing on how we can harness our best talents. They have every right to make their choices. But the real question is what is in it for Nigeria? It’s simple just do the right thing. We should be ahead of the other country in spotting a talent and showing that we are serious. Icon79: Actually, it's not. Can you name one Nigerian born player who had a long career with the 3 Lions? They would you get country tied with an inconsequential game and then dump you like a hot eba. Yet those guys cannot learn from history.

Exactly Mikel is out. There was no better time than this to hand Eze a call up than packing many forwards when at the end of the day we know who that white Oningbinde will start. edi287: I tire. Our two most creative players are a 31 year old Mikel who is on the wane and Iwobi. Mikel is out injured and instead of trying out another AM, Rohr does nothing and stockpiles on CM and some see nothing wrong with it. |

Neakali brothers were just invited to train. Did you mean to lie here? BascoVanVeli: Did the Nwakali brothers play any official ball? Rohr invited Ebere to do the same thing the Nwakali brothers did which was training with the team, for goodness sake he did the same for Afeez Aremu and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi. You are being unfair to Rohr |

Henry ans Samuel had only one choice — to wait. I don’t get the comparisons. BascoVanVeli: So Henry and Samuel were on wetin? Playing for England’s U20 team is not a statement of change of mind. Otigba also played for Hungary’s junior team. BascoVanVeli: Did he agree to represent Nigeria yes or no? Forget loyalty, this about being a man and keeping your word. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:18pm On Oct 05, 2018 |
Iwobi was about jumping on the plane abi.? Did Iwobi turn down playing for England’s junior teams? The only player that I know of that turned down a chance to play for the other country and waited is Otigba. BascoVanVeli: I don't agree with you at all. As a man , giving your word should mean a lot. The fact Rohr didn't call him now doesn't stop him from getting a call in the future but going ahead to play for a country after verbally pledging to another is morally wrong.
Samuel Kalu waited, John Ogu waited and Henry Onyekuru sure as heck waited so why must we rush with Ebere just because he has 2 passports? If he truly wants to play for us he will tell them where to put that call. Do you think England didn't offer Iwobi the world when he was in Kaduna? I am sure if he had not given his word he would be playing for three lions right now |

Why would he turn down a call up to England’s U-20. Playing for their junior team does not seal his future. The only thing we can draw for this is Nigeria is Super Slow. Nothing stopped Aigbogun either... since we love drama, we can call him up now. Modified Yes he is not eligible for the Flying Eagles. But wetin stop Rohr? BascoVanVeli: Thank u very much. Honestly this is an opportunity for him to show his loyalty to us. He gave Nigerians his word so if a call to England's U20 can change that then we should move on. |

Arnaut Danjuma is to Netherlands just as Ejaria is to Nigeria. Eze is very known to Rohr, I don’t understand the delay. We would likely make a move for the one that is least likely to agree to play for us — Billing. Na so we just be lol. charlesemeka85: he needs to act fast before we lose ebere, ejaria and billing.i am not saying we must get the trio but atleast 2 of them. aside aging mikel and ndidi we lack genuine quality in the midfield.
they have not been much noise about ejaria in the English football circle just because he plays in the Scottish league which is not highly rated by the english but once he makes the leap to an epl team and continue with his current form he will be capped by southgate asap cus the English lack quality in the middle and are trying all they can to remedy the issue. eze is likely to join spurs in January and if he gets to get some game time and perform well that will make his case dicey.
as for Billing with his performance so far for bottom club huddlesfield, i foresee the danes calling him up before the end of this calender year |

He has shown he deserves a look in at least. We have to see how he would fit in eventually. lots of promise for sure. As soon as Rohr is done with what he is trying to do with our forward department. he needs to take the contest to the midfield. charlesemeka85: i can't wait for the bobo to be cleared to play for us. he is not the real deal yet but has all it takes to metamorphose into a midfield dynamo in the next 2-3 years. he reminds me so much of a young pogba and i tip him to be the heir to Mikel's throne |

Shuoooo. This matter still dey on? Make una leave this matter jor. It’s filled with tribal sentiments. If one person talk say Lagos na no man’s land, how e affect your real estate? Let people believe what they want. rabzy: The Queen must have lost her rights of ruling abi oga, The king of Spain has no domain he rules over, he is landless, Oba of Lagos does not rule again shey or the otaru of Auchi. You need to pen your eyes and see what is right in front of you. If you buy any land in Lagos from a particular family and then a court case that has been ongoing for decades decides that the land is owned by another family, you have entered one-chance. You will buy the land again from the new family at the going market rate, nah then you go sabi say landowners dey.
Why dont you go and claim any virgin land for anywhere in Lagos whether you go last the night. |
