There is no guarantee KC is always gonna start under Rohr.
SlayerForever:
I wonder who's throwing who out. Ahmed is a consistent baller for us today. We're happy. But was he thrown out then? No. Iheanacho is not a fringe player he is an integral part of the team nobody is throwing anybody out However, he can be relegated to the bench.

Kai we still dey scout for #9? A top class #9 cannot he hiding now. They should be painting whatever league they play with goals. They should be stand out players. Truth is if you remove Ighalo and KC, we will have to fall back to familiar names, Kayode, Ujah, Nwakaeme, Odey? and a few others. If you have to comb every backwater league searching for a #9, it means that player does not deserve a look in, in the first place. Anyone calling for dropping both players, should be able to suggest replacements from the top of their heads.

My take, Ighalo and KC are the most consistent goal scorers in the higher leagues. We have no option but to be patient with them until Kayode and co start to score consistently.

elyte89:
But safari,in all fairness, dis two players are part of d problems we re having when it comes to winning matches

Btw ighalo and nacho...both strikers at d moment share just one goal within demselves in d year 2018 alone. It is abysmal... This guys re not doing deir job,am sure if u run a company with dis two guys as employees, by d end of d year when u re evaluating each department, u will get dem FIRED grin grin,I think I support AIG07 on dis, even if we get to win d two double header against Libya and d two players fail again to score, den I don't think it will be wise to keep calling "barren" strikers to d National team.dey gave ighalo/nacho chance to proof deir mettle and we av seen d result so far, most especially ighalo,.let d coaching crew give odas chance too

Rohr and his scout shld comb home and abroad for two or three no 9,by d time we test all,we will get a better replacement. We shld stop recycling mediocrity cool
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 8:41am On Oct 10, 2018
4 goals is not a bad return na, unless u have a very high expectation of him. How many has Vardy scores? If you are talking of last season then you are on point. But KC has had a poor return for the SE so far this year. For Leicester, KC has been pretty good!

komekn:
What we do is create a singular standard for KC and a different one for everyone else.

I said ages ago the true test for KC is when he leaves city and goes to an average team. Where he is not surrounded by world class players which complement his attributes. That has happened and the results are clear for all with objective eyes to see.

To whom much is given much is expected

After KC transfer £25 million or thereabouts to Leicester, this is his second season and he has scored 4 goals in the EPL. Now for a player who was bought as a striker, if we are to be honest that's not a good return.

Now if you are to be objective, true and honest and say things as they are, you will.be labelled HATER, TRIBALIST, HYPOCRITE, etc, etc.

Now what would you specifically call that return on your £25 million player investment huhhuh

If we can’t fund all the teams you mentioned, don’t do it at all. Is that what you are saying? We have to start from somewhere. Na step by step.

Danielnino00:
It will still require money..
And I'm sure u aren't advocating that system for an u-21 team alone.. It should spread to the u-17, u-19 and the women team..
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:57pm On Oct 09, 2018
They don’t have to play other age grade teams. They can play clubs or even play friendlies with lesser African nations like Comoros, Seychelles etc
Danielnino00:
This would mean more expenditure for the NFF. No Africa team currently has an active age grade team.. I mean age grade teams that are always available not just for competitive games... The NFF will have to b organizing friendlies with non African teams.. I don't think the NFF is financially stable enough yet to reach that level

Yes, that’s planning ahead for the Olympics as well
Icon4s:
And I say again, we need a very serious U21 team. Or we call it a SE Team B. We need to give these young players real international friendlies to test their readiness.

Good news
charlesemeka85:
Coach of the senior national team of Libya Adel Amrouche has quit his position as coach of the team ahead of their AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against Nigeria on Saturday, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

Reports gathered from various news outlets i‎n Libya has it that the coach left his role earlier today citing non-payment of his salaries for six months as the reason behind his decision to quit the team.

Libya have moved swiftly to replace the coach with the man he succeeded Omar Al-Maryami and he has already resumed training with the team at their base in Tunisia, where they are preparing for the game against Nigeria.

Group leaders Libya are expected in Nigeria on Thursday with a 54 man crew for the game, which could see them lose top spot if they fail to beat Nigeria and as expected South Africa beats Seychelles.

It’s simple. Keep inviting him just to train with the team.
Icon4s:
This mass caping of players, I am sure u know will come at a price? Because for u to accommodate them for this capping process some other players in the team needs to give way from the match day squad.

What if in the game u plan to cap lets say Josh Maja, u may have dropped a second choice striker for the match day squad just to accommodate Josh. And then u find ur team trailing. U know quite well that u cannot really vouch that Josh can make the difference, u only added him to the match day squad to cap him. The coach may have shot himself on the foot there.

This players selection thing is not as easy u think it is o

Wait make dem start to help Ivory Coast trash teams for Africa first. For now they are only good on paper. We are talking of Etebo who is tested at the biggest stage.

ChrisKels:
My dear, no need for arguments. When the Ogu, Agu, Etebo, joel, Agbo, Onazi get looked at by reasonable clubs like those u wanna compare them with, u hit me up for thorough scrutinization and worthy comparisons because for now, it aint worth it. Imagine mentioning Onazi in the same sentence as Sangare and asking which ivorian ligue1 player is as good as Almighty Joel Obi grin grin

Bros, leave Ndidi out of this, I no mention him because I rate him highly unlike the other pretenders hiding behind him. Only he and iwobi can start for the ivory Coast in the midfield. Gbam!! Can the Almighty Joel and Onazi dust Fofana's boots at present? Are u sure u have been following Ekong and Aina in the Serie A bro? Fofana and Meite are respectively at the Centre of everything good from these two teams. Lol to think that Joel was offloaded to land Meite makes me giggle hard at ur Joel praises grin grin

Wrestle who na? Dem fit? Can they beat the powers that be in terms of rigging mechanism? Oh I get it, that’s what structures actually mean here.

The people need to wake up. They are poor because they can’t come together.
soetanoreoluwa:
Nigeria politics is local... It needs total overhauling but who will do it?
Since inception of democracy in Nigeria corruption has been inthe front burner and buying of votes, rigging had been their since inception. It is not new if you follow the history of Nigeria very well you will understand is one of the reason that leads to first coup in Nigeria. . There is more to Nigeria politics than what you are seeing and saying . Why do you think they allow Nigerians to be drenched in poverty? Now poverty capital of the world. Come 2030 Nigeria will be place where most poverty pple lived.

Cos poverty is one the tools in the hand of Nigeria politicians.

Their structure is not be for Betterment of citizens but for their own good...

If those people want to bring meaningful change, they should join the two most powerful party in Africa and wrestle the power with them. Or all the lesser presidential candidates should form an alliance select one person and form a formidable party that will be a third Force.

Wait have you heard about PACT?

The point is those are not stand out performers in the same league, but they made the list because of a lack of QUALITY options in their playing positions. Mikel is out, there is no excuse not to invite a stand out performer in the same league. We can definitively do without one striker, midfielder or defender that was included that list, a player who would most likely not even play any part in the Libya double header, to include Eze who can likely play a part as an AM in case Iwobi is deployed elsewhere or gets injured. Common sense stuff.

Modified
To keep it simple, we have only one player who can DELIVER as an AM in that list — Iwobi. But he can still have a bad day.

comodo:
I tire for some pipu self. Help me ask am if They should call Eze then to play Semi role or Etebo role?? Comparing Apples & oranges.
