That’s their opinion. But the fact is Nwakali has been given a chance (though team B), and he did excellently well. forgiveness: Does it change the fact that at the mention of Ajagun, people see abomination but Nwakali na god? |

Not limited to those players na. In fact any player they think wasnt given a fair chance. And that still is wicked OMANBALA1: There are forumites whose prayers is for the team to fail because Ajagun, Kayode and Obafemi was not invited...And that to me is very wicked. |

Won’t take anything away from his other successes. But on this one, he showed poor judgement OMANBALA1: Then Pinnick should get a suspension. That pitch is an embarrassment to the whole nation and that is because somebody didn't do their job. |

I thought they have already been dropped. Abi na rumor? Oasis007: Apparently Eze, Lokosa and Ajiboye have slim chances respectively of making the List, but anything can happen still. I can't rule them out completely yet, coz I ain't part of the Coaching Crew.
Whoever makes the List is fine by me. All I wanna see is my darling Eagles soaring higher in Russia. |

Disciplinary action against who? Wike brought that game to PH, and Pinnick obliged without monitoring the progress of whatever was done to the pitch. An inspection should have been done 2 weeks prior to ascertain it’s state, before taking a final decision on the venue OMANBALA1: That pitch they played in and video quality of the match just further highlight the shamelessness of Nigerian Football Federation. If I was the President disciplinary action must be taken. That was unacceptable in all grounds...I was enraged by the whole nonsense |

Victor Moses. Really, it’s not just one or two players. We need the right combinations. So far we’ve Had test games. we need to use our last two friendlies to see if our team is still in shape with all the regulars playing. Moses Simon will be missed at the WC. Mujtahida: Which of the Moses? If it is Vicmo he was the one that destroyed Cameroun, with S. Moses adding his own blows. That was our best match of the WCQ. |

I agree! daveP: Before this so called friendly, I was vocal about the uselessness of it. I feared they might be some injuries. Then I saw the pitch anddmy scare doubled. freshly leaned grass for a team worth almost 300milla? Pinnick and Wike obviously did this for the whatever reason that doesn't seem good. |

Onyekuru speaks:
''I was fit, but I did not play. So I'm not staying with Anderlecht,'' said Onyekuru to Het Laatste Nieuws.
''He (Vanhaezebrouck ) has not spoken to me for weeks. I know what he said about me.
''Thanks to the media, I had to learn that I was not ready, so to speak, I have worked very hard in the last few months to come back. This was not enough for some.''
''Anderlecht knew I needed the World Cup to get a work permit to play in England, and by not making me play, the chances of going to Russia were nil, and so I could not join the Premier League, that may be how Anderlecht hopes to keep me for another year, a ridiculous reasoning: I can go anywhere,'' he added. |

I would love someone to do a comparison . ANS, OGN also did their ratings. MetalJigsaw: ABOVE AVERAGE: How Super Eagles Rated Vs DR Congo May 28, 2018 8:33 pm
Completesportsnigeria.com’s ADEBOYE AMOSU rates the Super Eagles players following their 1-1 draw in a friendly game against Democratic Republic of Congo at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Monday…
FRANCIS UZOHO 7/10 The young goalkeeper looked solid in goal and made three brilliant saves in the game . TYRONNE EBUEHI 6/10 Was lively early in the game but fizzled out later. He did enough to prove he can give regular right-back Shehu Abdullahi proper competition.
WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG 7/10 Scored his side’s first goal of the game. The Bursaspor of Turkey centre-back was impressive and coped well with the Congolese forwards.
LEON BALOGUN 6/10 Missed a good chance of registering a goal from a corner kick in the second half. Had a difficult time stopping the dangerous Benik Afobe.
ELDERSON ECHIEJILE 5/10 Average performance from the left-back who was duly hauled off after the break.
JOEL OBI 5/10 The Torino midfielder didn’t make much impact in the game, but showed flashes of brilliance. His chances of a berth in final squad have not been enhanced.
OGENYI ONAZI 5/10 An average performance from the stand-in captain who failed to replicate his impressive past showings for the Super Eagles.
KELECHI IHEANACHO 6/10 Started the game brightly but somehow struggled afterwards. He set up his side’s only goal. He was substituted after the break.
OGHENEKARO ETEBO 6/10 Full of running in the middle of the park and showed his versatility by playing on the left side of the attack later in the game.
JUNIOR LOKOSA 7/10 Played in an unfamiliar right-wing position and showed some promise. He did his chances no harm.
SIMEON NWANKWO 8/10 The Crotone of Italy forward came close to scoring twice in the game and showed good skills on the ball. He lacked good service but imposed himself on the game.
SUBSTITUTES
MIKEL AGU 5/10 Came in for Joel Obi after the break and didn’t make much impact following his introduction.
OLA AINA 5/10 The half time substitute made forays upfront unlike the man he replaced, Elderson Echiejile but was unlucky to concede the penalty that led to the Congolese equalising goal.
KENETH OMERUO 5/10 Came in Leon Balogun did his best to help stabilize the defence which looked shaky for majority of the game.
AHMED MUSA 5/10 Looked lively after coming in for Junior Lokosa 20 minutes from the end.
SHEHU ABDULLAHI 5/10 Didn’t spend enough time on the pitch to affect the game positively. |

Sir it’s true. We need that ideal combination in the midfield. Let’s hope to see Rohr’s picks in the middle of the pack against England. Can Iwobi deputize Mikel? Oh yes Kog45: I don't want to talk again outside 30 man list again but Rohr need to mange this team especially midfield.
What happened to Brazil against Germany would be a child play cos the team was exposed due to players with similar style of play (Fernadinho,Paulinho,Ramirez,Gustavo) in the midfield and with players like Onazi, Etebo,Agu,Joel, and Ogu am foreseeing issues if not managed tactically.
It's apparent that without Mikel the team will keep on struggling.Hope Rohr will do the needful tactically. |

Mikel don’t play like Okocha, but they both can hold the ball, control the game, and spray passes. Are there other Nigerian players wirn these attributes even outside the 30 man list? Martz101: i don't understand Nigerians i swear, the set of players in camp is the best we can get fairly. winning teams improvise, i still see nothing wrong playing iwobi as a number 10. then problem with you guys is expecting him to play just the same way Mikel plays.
in 1994 siasia or mutiu adepoju plays instead of okocha...they ain't thesame, a coach can change there tactics to covr up for some players absent.
They keeper position was our problem, Rohr and the crew faced the problem and i can see there hardwork paying off.
And please which Alfa or prophet told you guys mikel will be injured in the tournerment |

NFF organizes seminar for Super Eagles The leadership of Nigeria Football Federation has concluded arrangements for a seminar on wealth creation, investments and portfolio management for players and officials of the Senior National Football Team, Super Eagles.
NFF 2nd Vice President/Chairman of Strategy Committee, Mallam Shehu Dikko told thenff.com that the seminar, which will see leading voices in the private sector who are partners of the NFF delivering papers, will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Tuesday afternoon.
“We believe that it is important to also afford the players and their officials the opportunity to listen to critical advice in the area of wealth creation, business opportunities, investments and portfolio management.
“The focus should not always be entirely on playing football. Of course, the game on the pitch is important. But after the game, there is that aspect of human existence that also requires adroit management and knowledge –based action. Moreover, they cannot play football for ever. Management of what they have is key to life after retirement.” The Super Eagles delegation is set to fly out of Port Harcourt to Abuja on Tuesday morning, and the Nigeria Football Federation has informed players and officials about the seminar, which will hold between 1.45pm and 2.30pm.
Mr. Bismark Rewane (Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives); Mr. Olufemi Obaleke (Executive Director of WAPIC Insurance Plc) and; Mr. Tolu Adeleke (Partner, PriceWaterHouse Coopers) are among those who will speak to the World Cup –bound Eagles.
Organizers hinted thenff.com that the National Integrity Officer, Dr. Christian Emeruwa will also have a few minutes to talk about integrity matters at the session. The session comes before the contingent is scheduled to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) at the State House on Tuesday evening. |

Etebo wasn’t bad. He took our indirect free kicks at the laters stages and delivered well. But they were times he was found wanting. He could have made a stronger case to be taken to London if he had executed a long range shot to an open net (the keeper had come of his lines). I will give him a 5/10. But he could have done better. Joel Obi played pretty well in the first half. Mujtahida: Free yourself. It's just a game. Meanwhile was Onazi and Etebo that bad? |

Ebuehi pulled his toes backwards first as if he needed the kind of attention given to someone who has cramps. I knew it was just cramps and not a serious one for that matter ChrisKels: Oh u can tell the severity of an injury by mere looking at a player's face? Chai tbaba1234 most of us played this game kwanu, serious muscles cramps are more painful than the worst hamstrings. It's only lesser bkus it heels in hours while hamstrings take months. The look on his face tells little to nothing about the severity or kinda injury he copped |

When Ekong scored how many people showed their excitement? Some of us here are not here to cheer the team as long as the selection doesn’t favor them. Yes we had a bad game as a unit, but these are some good things we can take away from it:
1. Lokosa made the local league look good 2. Simy was unplayable. Some of his challenges were fair but the ref blew against his physical superiority. His pressing game was top notch considering his frame. Etebo should have scored. Simy hit the bar and had a great back header effort which hit target. He brings something different and special to our attack. 3. Musa’s form is something to be excited about. 4. We were fortunate to make a move on Ebuehi. He will come handy for us at the Mundial and many years after. 5. Some players just made Rohr’s job easier |

Where should we play him then? Humility017: etebo is not an attacking midfielder... playing him in the middle is like giving a dog a bad name...just to get it hanged.
nwakali will even do better in the middle compare to him.... we can't keep shying away from this...we need a good AM some one close to mikel calibre.... |

Hahahaha yes we are missing Simon really badly. forgiveness: Anybody wey no dey watch dis match no dey deceived by Lokosa is balling.... Ebuehi is balling...... Simy is balling..... Iheanacho is careful.... because na fat lie be dat.
The Congolese dey dominate us and wey dey balling...?
Which kain balling be dat?
The point is the wings have been rendered redundant.
There is no penetration from there and I can see Lokosa lacks the technique or ability to play there. I don't even know who is playing on the otherside.
Iheanacho self no get position. He had a through ball that levelled him with the last and only man at the back and with just him and the keeper to beat but he messed it up big time.
Simy though tall but he is unable to win and hold unto the ball.
Etebo is lost in the middle.
Make I dey look. |
