FALSE 1. They expect they would beat the competition. And truly, it can go either way. Nigeria is not a weak football nation. 2. Nigerian authorities are likely the ones given them that impression especially with manner they are being courted. But yet again, NFF is not the coach. Rohr will not give anyone automatic slot going by his past utterances. Depending on when the final 23 will be named I expect anyone who will make that least to have at least played in one of the friendlies. Curtisaxel7: My problem with foreign borns is that they tend to expect automatic shirts |

Omeruo will make the 30 man list regardless. Let Rohr decide from what he sees in camp. tbaba1234: Let us be clear.. I am for the best players making the team. Any German boy also has to prove that he is up to the task.
I feel Rohr does not have that full confidence in Omeruo because he has left him out a few times. That is why he is looking at the German boys. It is more than likely that he will be the culprit if one of the them joins the team. |

5. recent form. Iheanacho is performing. Tammy isn’t. You are as good as your recent games. realpoacher: Liar at bolded. .. From your pictures, they both have 7 goals but from these statistics I will choose iheanacho any day, anytime because
1. he achieved in 1000 minutes what it took Tammy Abraham 1800 minutes to do.
2. Secondly he is in a bigger club than Tammy. Leicester has won the league Swansea hast
3. KC has more pedigree than Tammy and had Proven himself at Man City before his move to Leicester
4. He is more stabilized in the SE |

Haha sir. The regulars here know that’s not an allegation. We know u well enough. You are talking about a pool of talents, but I’m waiting for you to make a case AGAIN for at least 5 players in the Championship yet u are busy trying to score a pointless point. komekn: So you before you made your allegations you had not got substantive information so you made the allegations based on assumption in the negative.
Before you make an allegation which you made within the last 24 hrs you should know. You can't ask me to find your allegations for you that's ludicrous.
So back to you, I am getting dissapointed I expected more from you. If a few of the emotive and prejudicial led contributors said this I wouldn't even respond. But you who I regard as thinking before speaking and well balanceed. It's not good enough for you. |

I’m not dodging. We had this convo in the past. I can go back many pages to dig the names if you would be patient But to save both of us and all who are following a great deal of time u could just go ahead and mention the names, then we can judge if what I said was actually an allegation. You still stand by your position on those players, don’t you? Modified Mention 5 (I have reduced the number) among the “pool of talents”... komekn: You made a clear cut allegation.
I have asked you to substantiate it with specifics and now like a slippery peace of Asepso soap you are being evasive.
I asked you to be specific about the players I have recommended.

@uppercase GREEN font The real questions: how many players are not outstanding in the SE currently? And of those, have any been poor in SE colors? If yes, how many of them can be replaced by the similarly not-outstanding players in the Championship for example? When u work through the questions you will see why you call for looking into a pool of unproven talents in England a big distraction to why we are in this thread. Please could u name 11 players from the championship that deserve a look in by Rohr. You can repeat yourself for the sake of the new forumites. Let’s all talk about their quality and if they can potentially displace anyone in the current SE. komekn: I consider you to be informed, conversant and intelligent in the first instance.
Do you not think it will be of benefit to this discourse to be specific and not vague that way other contributors can understand a lot better and even validate your position.
Firstly, unfortunately as compared to the Golden years of the mid 1990's to the early Millennium. We simply don't have many outstanding players in the context of world football.
The proviso you give for selection and or unit of measurement for competence. Is problematic.
Let's forget about top teams for now.
One question ❓ HOW MANY NIGERIAN ORIGIN PLAYERS ARE OUTSTANDING CONSISTENT TOP PERFORMERS IN THIER RESPECTIVE LEAGUES.
Even when you include the backwater leagues of Turkey, Isreal, Cyprus, Holland, Austria, etc we simply do not have many.
This being the case in the absence of the desirable the available becomes desirable. If not for the dearth of quality strikers available to us. Our number one striker KC has scored once in the EPL this season that's not an inspiring statistic.
Our defenders in Turkey are not rated in the top three or best in that league.
Considering then the huge gap between the EPL, and arguably for some the Championship compared to these backwater leagues.
Is it therefore, irrational to then consider average or above average players and or outstanding Nigerian origin players in the English Championship and league one for the SE❓ Do not Forget that Dele Alli, Gomez, Ademola, all left league one straight to the EPL.
Finally, you can not compare scoring 10 goals in the Eredivisie to scoring 5 in the EPL, it's not the same level of quality.
Before I forget who are these players that I have called for that you think aren't good enough Be specific no generalisations please. |

And if his countrymen want to crown him prematurely, let it be. Let us make the noise first, before white man go talk say na dem discover Ndidi.. komekn: I do not think anybody is under rating or being dismissive of Ndidi.
What I understand is that people are saying he is an excellent player but not world class yet.
With regards to Ngolo Kante there is the small matter of Leicester city defying all odds and winning the EPL. Of which Ngolo was intrinsic to that success it wasn't because he had the most tackles.
The silver Ware was the icing on the cake and to further buttress his attributes his fellow professionals voted him the best player in EPL. Don't forget that barely 4 years ago he was struggling to find a club side.
When Ndidi wins something and gets some silverware his consistency and week in week out, top performances will give him the recognition he deserves. But until then he's a young prince waiting to be crowned king. |

My problem with you is you make calls for players who are not standout players in the Championship, League One, League Two etc. on what basis then? You don't earn a call up just because of the league you play. Even if you play in the EPL, you have to earn a call up by performance there as well. Backwater league or not, you need to perform. And even if you say you have watched the players in question and their that good bla bla bla, don't expect us to fall behind you.. you don't have enough stats to back it up..maybe you should post some videos etc that will add credibility to your position.. at the end of the day, all we see here are just black and white, or blue ( TheGoodJOe ). Be like tbaba, and back it up with videos etc at times. Which is why when tbaba says certain things, I take him more seriously. komekn: Firstly, the basics what does biased mean Unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something. Once again I am involved with English football primarily and therefore it's not bias to talk from a standpoint of knowledge quite often first hand. It would be nonsensical rambling for me to be talking about Nigerian league and as such I leave it for those in the know like BascoVanVeli, TheGoodJoe, etc.
Which country has the overwhelming highest number of Nigerian origin players in the world outside of Nigeria So it makes rational sense to concentrate on the biggest pool of potential talent. It's not sentimental prejudice it's common sense.
With regards to quality are you saying the EPL is not quality Which league had the overwhelming highest number of clubs in the last 16 of the Champions league
I have always said the EPL is the most physically taxing, highest tempo and competitive league. I did not say the most technically astute. In this regard La Liga is better technically speaking even possibly Seria A. |

Not with his long legs. He needs to cut it off and let’s see if he can still get those tackle numbers. Or better yet tall keepers get shorter and be tested. tbaba1234: He is doing what DMs are there for... Disrupting play.
Apart from the limited experience at top level, Ndidi ability is world class.. He was playing under 17 in 2013.. Topping the whole of Europe with your tackling and interceptions is not an easy feat |

Watching the game brings a broader dimension when analyzing. Thanks tbaba. Some people just use google and Wikipedia and think they know it all. tbaba1234: Even taking the injury into consideration, Samuel has played only 4 games more than Simon so they are certainly comparable.

Lol komekn: I will not tag you anti- English but I will say you are emotively biased against Tega. Firstly, they are completely not on the same level.
But before we proceed I advise don't believe everything you read, I would say that's false news.
Sadiq is 21, he is not outstanding in any league he has played. Lukaku who was an outstanding talent didn't even get to play any reasonable number of games irrespective of his huge price tag at the time. Sadiq is not as good as Lukaku.
In comparison Tega Abrahams played 48 games in the Championship and scored 26 goals. Has played 79 senior professional games and scored 33 goals. You could call him a seasoned professional at his very young age. In the EPL he has scored only 4goals after 23 games there is much room for improvement, it's simply not good enough.
Umar Sadiq a total of 17 career games and 3 goals at his age of 21 at this stage he should be established. He is barely knocking on the door of a professional career. The way football is progress by 21 you should be showing ability not just promise.
I am sorry statistically he is a non-starter compared to Tega. With those stats he will struggle to get a national league side forget the championship or even league 1. |
