Firstly you believe what u want to believe. Not everything u read is true. Do I believe there is corruption? Resounding yes, In many areas of human life not exclusively to Nigeria, there is corruption. But at the same time just because u see it in the biggest screen, some magazine or tabloid don’t make it factual. Look at things from case to case, and be balanced in your judgement. Like I said before, you are a one way thinker. Modified, I could also find stories either refuting ur links or talking about how coaches now or before were given a free hand by the NFF. But u seem to be making look like NFF has ALWAYS decides who is invited or not. Believe what u want. forgiveness: Is there corruption in NFF ? Answer yes or No |

Don’t take him seriously. Na one way thinker. realpoacher: House look at this man running riot making false accusations without concrete evidence yet he is allowed to run a mock..., he is allowed to create hate speech,... He is allowed to create a toxic atmosphere with his numerous one-sided, loop-sided and baseless accusations.
Yet no one is calling him to order, everyone is turning a blind eye.
Someone should call him to order before i pounce on him o!... If I come hard on him, he won't like it.
Must @forgiveness always insult the whole nigerians and NFF here before he pass his points?....
Must he always throw baseless accusations and indictments at us?...
Are they no longer honest men and corrupt free people in the system?
Why must he label everyone corrupt whenever his players doesn't make the cut?
Must kayode play in the Super Eagles before we know that Nigeria is not corrupt?
Must Martins be called back before we know that Nigeria is not corrupt?
Must Otigba or whatever his name is play for us before we know that Nigeria is not Corrupt?...
Must Sheyi Ojo, Sone aluko etc play for us?
Must @forgiveness have only his players in the Super Eagles?
He has suggested Ebuehi, Aina, onyekuru, jeol obi, Iwobi, etc to the Super Eagles and all of them currently in the team..., must all his other players be brought to the team too?.... Is this the Super Eagles meant for Nigeria or the Super Eagle of Sir forgiveness?.... Why must it be only the players he suggest to be in the team are to be in the team else we are corrupt?
Is @forgiveness the knowledgeable person on football matters in Nigeria that has to have only his players in the team or else we are all corrupt?
Somebody should call him to order o or else i will show to him that no one has the monopoly of abuse, insults and false accusations.
You can't call me corrupt and expect me to keep quiet. No i won't!
Listen mr forgiveness, behave yourself and respect yourself like an elder. Learn to live and let live, take a cue from your brother sir Komekn and learn to keep quiet on matters that you have no prove.

Well when his form was up there and he wanted to rep us, we didn’t look his way. Now it doesn’t really matter going by the defenders we have who are ahead of him. He is a Nigerian still. I would have given him same advice. I remember tbaba1234 and I debated his issue many pages back. We don’t contact players to switch allegiance for switching sake. Whether they choose or not, they have to earn their invitation. I will be supporting Hungary whenever he plays. Cool guy . AIG07: Kenneth Otigba's change of alliance is welcome.
I think he needs to be commended. Dude waited so long for a call-up from Nigeria that'll never come.

Firstly, no formation is infallible. A team will have to control the midfield regardless of if they are a man short in that department, and deploy fast and very good wingers. 4-4-2 could be a good option with the right personnel. kennysville: A question for the super analysts......
How does one really neutralize a 3-5-2 formation? Is it really infallible? What formation is guaranteed to effectively counter it and render it useless?

CHELSEA SET TO SWOOP FOR ROMA’S YOUNG NIGERIAN STARLET BY TIM GARRETT IN PREMIER LEAGUE,TRANSFERS - 20:00 MAR 8TH 2018
For young players in the modern game, it’s increasingly common for a loan move away from their parent club to be required in order for them to make their name. High-profile stars such as Harry Kane and Jesse Lingard are currently profiting from following this path in England, and the trend is being followed across the continent.
21-year-old Nigerian U23 international Umar Sadiq is one such player currently thriving on loan. Having been starved of opportunities at AS Roma in the early stages of this season, he made his move to NAC Breda of the Eredivisie at the end of January and hasn’t looked back since.
Sadiq may have only appeared 5 times for his new side, but reports in Italy suggest that he has already done enough to alert the attentions of Chelsea, such has been his impact. Prior to his arrival, NAC had just a 19% win ratio as they toiled at the wrong end of the table, but that has rocketed up to 40% for the matches in which Sadiq has appeared, making his influence clear for all to see.
Athletic and technically gifted, there’s no reason to believe Sadiq would be anything other than a success in the English game, and if his current form continues, Roma may well find that it’s not just Chelsea who come knocking at their door. —KickoffDotCoDotUK |

Listen, Mikel is a through and through Defensive Midfielder. I don't know what role he plays for the Chinese team but he played that role for over ten years at Chelsea!

I was referring to this post TheSuperNerd: Does Joel Obi's Super Eagles lifeline come too late? By Dami Ugbane, KweséESPN
Gernot Rohr has handed an international lifeline to Joel Obi, who was named in his 28-man Nigeria squad for the upcoming friendlies and has the opportunity to return to the Super Eagles team for the first time in almost four years.
The left-footed playmaker's career has been blighted by recurring injuries, but he now has the opportunity to gatecrash the World Cup party. However, does the chance come too late for the promising talent to fulfil his international potential?
Together with Chinedu Obasi and Onyekachi Apam, Obi has been regarded in Nigeria football circles as one of the great nearly men of the nation's game. The trio had the quality to achieve superstar status, only to be denied by persistent injuries.
While the aforementioned duo unfortunately failed in their bid to stage a comeback to the international scene with Nigeria, Obi has the opportunity to muscle his way into the Super Eagles' talented midfield unit.
A showing at the World Cup could go some way to compensating for the missed opportunities of recent years.
At the time of his arrival on the international stage with Nigeria seven years ago, the hardworking midfielder instantly became a fan favourite due to a combination of factors, notably his commitment, work rate and technical ability.
In a two-man midfield partnership with John Mikel Obi under coach Samson Siasia, the duo held sway.
However, it was the younger Obi who just eclipsed his compatriot with each passing game, and appeared the more focused of the pair. Fast forward to present day, and the previously maligned Mikel has taken over the mantle of leadership as the Super Eagles' captain, while Obi's international career has gone largely unfulfilled.
He struggled to establish himself at Internazionale, largely due to injuries, but has finally begun to realise his potential at Torino where he's demonstrated the consistency that has clearly piqued the interest of Rohr. Injury concerns linger, but he's netted four goals and contributed two assists in the Italian top flight so far this term, and offers something a little different from the likes of Ogenyi Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo and John Ogu.
Perhaps the need to have tactically flexible and versatile players for a tournament environment has forced Rohr to consider Obi, who can play in a deeper playmaking role, as a No. 10, or on either flank.
He's also played in wing-back or full-back positions earlier in his career, and this ability to serve Nigeria across the park may see him edge out one of his more one-dimensional midfield rivals. Obi's experience, high energy levels and technique mean that he wouldn't be fazed should Rohr opt to change formation before or during a match.
Could the same be said for Mikel Agu or Uche Agbo?
It's perhaps going too far to suggest that World Cup inclusion would make up for Obi's years of watching on for the sidelines or missed opportunities with the Super Eagles. However, while he's unlikely to be a starter, his plethora of qualities could make him a valuable option from the bench, and a unique asset for the Eagles.
He could, at last, demonstrate that he deserves to be considered among the top Nigerian players of his generation.

Someone wrote an article on ESPN on J. Obi. Someone should please post. I haven’t got the time. I think he is rather more offensive going by what I saw if him in GWG in the past. tbaba1234: What does Joel Obi Offer?
1. Ball retention: He boasts of one of the best ball retention stats of Nigerian midfielders this season with over 80% average pass accuracy. Mikel Obi and John Ogu are the other two who help to keep possession. He loves the short passing game.
2. Loves a tackle: No one beats Ndidi in this category but Obi will win tackles for you. He also reads the game very well and is strong with interceptions. He appears to be returning to his best form in Torino after a torrid time with injury.
3. Mobility: Box to Box kind of player, lots of energy to burn.. Similar to Etebo on his day. He reminds me a lot of edgar davids in this regard.
Can he be a replacement for Mikel?
Not really, he is more of a defensive midfielder than an offensive one. However, he has shown the ability to score from inside the box this year so playing him behind a striker might not be a bad idea. He is skillful, intelligent and can do those short one-twos. Right now, no one can control the midfield like Mikel, maybe with Joel we can take another approach when Mikel is not playing. |

Yea I think we should master switching from one formation to the other. 1 defender joins the midfield and a midfielder goes forward to support the player who was a loan striker — or switch formation in reverse order. bengine: Did anyone watch that tottenham-juventus game today..just see how the coach changed their formation from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2..the 3-5-2 effectively stifled Tottenham out of the game...this new formation made sure juventus stayed compact in every area of the field.. Tottenham would have won this game easily but thanks to a smart coach..
I do hope the Nigerian team perfect that 3-5-2 formation b4 the world cup so we can use it to surprise our opponents..we can keep our default 4231 formation and just switch up on our opponents at some point.. |

Because Agu is still yet to impress since Rohr first gave him a chance. However, reports have it, that he should have made list if not for passport renewal issues. andrew444: Agu is getting regular time at besiktas until the last 2 games he came from the bench, onazi has not come of the bench for the last 3 games for trapzonspor,go and check and see for your self,so if so then why can't you say onazi should forget about the World Cup because he has not been that regular. |

Let us invite them in case any last minute injury befalls any of the core players. The newbies will easily slot in having had a go during the friendlies 3. awaziwm on the left. Ekong on the right. But that’s if Balogun picks up on his form. Modified Awaziem will be a good cover for Idowu if the latter fails to fall back quickly. tbaba1234: If we are going to play the 3 CB formation then we should play Balogun in the center. He is better in the air and does not have to chase anyone. He can focus mainly on interceptions and headers. |

Lol the list is predictable. We’d prolly miss a couple names or so. Ezenwa will go to Russia. And if Uzoho does well again, he is a sure bet. As for Akpeyi, unless he redeems himself, a new name may knock him off. TheSuperNerd: Very true. Agu's chances just went from very slim to much slimmer... Mikel, Ndidi, Onazi are sure bets... the remaining three will likely be Etebo, Ogu, and Joel (if he shows his quality again in the GWG and proves his fitness for the battle ahead)... but shaa let the Friendlies come... we still got 99 days to go.
