I said 48th.
Consider both pics. I'm using FIFA calculator, not my own guess. It's still an estimate like I said earlier.
And you will be dead wrong.

realpoacher:
Where do you get this your voodoo calculations from?

A draw against Algeria will take us down?... Like a - ve?...

26th November no far na... Its less than two weeks from now.

You say 45 - 50 Position

I say 25 - 30 position

If you want we can place a bet!!

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie:
My Observation from watching 35 minutes of the first half of the Argentina match:

1. Balogun is doing too much ball playing than he should do. He needs stay at the back and make simple passes.
2. Aina is good at marking his man. The formation demands that he go forward when we are in possession, this he did very well. Balogun has no business going forward. Balogun made Aina look bad.
3. The second Argentina goal was caused by Mikel. Now let me land before you fight me. Argentina was in possession in their backline and Mikel came forward to tackle, going completely out of the midfield position. Mikel as the pillar of our midfield, was absent as soon as Argentina launched a counter. Balogun in turn as I already mentioned was not at the back line, and was not fast enough to catch up, this exposed us at the rear.
4. Shehu could not keep up with his man. Our wing backs need to be really fast. Even Aina is not really fast. This formation calls for fast wing backs.
6. John Ogu is a very good tackler.
7. Ndidi is a workaholic. I see why he is compared to Kante.
8. We played conservatively. I think for the first 20 minutes or so we had not even managed a single shot at goal.
9. But for the lapses mentioned above, especially Akpeyi's blunder, we didn't do badly in the first 35 minutes.

I must say Nigeria's move for Iwobi is the best move we've ever made for a Foreign-bred player.
England still biting their fingers.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 11:44am On Nov 15, 2017
good.. that was exactly my point.
Even Uzoho needs more game time. We are just so glad that he is such a young goalie with a huge potential. Personally, I'd like him to be #1 right away, but I want to see more from him still.

Mujtahida:
” We have Ahmed Musa and the captain (Mikel Obi) of the team. He has a connection here through the family. Brian played well, scored a goal. His prospects depend on how he will perform at the club. His debut, I’m happy. on his position we have other options, so who will pick who plays better, he will be involved in the fight” Source: owngoalnigeria.com

Rohr is not resting on his oars. I have also on the back of our performance yesterday been saying it's a fight and the fight has just began.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 11:41am On Nov 15, 2017
Yes he needs regular playing time. We would need that.

goldfish80:
Maybe he should find a Turkish club in the winter transfer window. It is very evident that Ekong has found his feet playing in the Turkish league.
Balogun could benefit from such a move as he would be guaranteed good playing time more than anything else.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 11:35am On Nov 15, 2017
lol. This is the breakdown.

Mujtahida:
Bleep FIFA rankings. Let my team continue ranking on the pitch. That's all I need. Cos I don't understand this voodoo arithmetics they use in ranking teams. We should be number two or three in Africa.

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 11:30am On Nov 15, 2017
Believe me I am impressed as you are as regards Idowu.
However, we've had men who we've seen again and again in this team. We've been able to assess their strengths and weaknesses just because we have seen them overtime. The more you know your players the better.
We know a good player when we see them, granted. That does not mean we don't need to see them again and again. Idowu has made a strong case. I've already said we want to play another friendly, and let's start that one just the way we ended this one. We want to play teams that will expose us. The earlier we know our deficiencies the better. Rohr knows that too well.
You guys should keep naming players that should go to Russia because of one match performance. We've seen Ogu again. So if we start to make that opinion about him, that's more logical.

daveP:
I doubt we need to see more from him. On your debut against the dreaded Argentina attack and you still find space to score? That is exceptionally enough to be on the plane to Russia?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 11:20am On Nov 15, 2017
A more accurate (still an estimate)

Senegal to be ranked 23rd

junnyjake:
Our failure to qualify to the nation's cup back to back really affected us.

Below you will find November ranking, projected points for December and the new FIFA Rankings for December.

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 10:55am On Nov 15, 2017
Let's hear from the horse's mouth. This is a projection

I have put the projected rankings in a spreadsheet. This is just an estimate.
Let's expect to be ranked around 48 in December.
Below you will find the old ranking, projected points for December and the new rankings.

realpoacher:
Most likely

With a draw you still get points. I have been able to get the formula from fifa website.

P = M x I x T x C

For November

Match 1: Algeria vs Nigeria
Scores = 1 - 1
Strength of confrendation = 0.86 - 0.86
Strength of opposition = 159(200-41) - 133(200-67)
Therefore M = 1 - 1
I = 2.5
T = 159(Algeria) - 133(Nigeria)
C = 0.86

Nigeria P = M x I x T x C = 1 x 2.5 x 159 x 0.86
= 286

Match 2: Argentina vs Nigeria
Scores: 2 - 4
M = 0 - 3
I = 1 (friendly)
T = 159 (Argentina) - 196( Nigeria)
C ={ 0.98 (South America) + 0.86(Africa)} /2
= 0.92
Nigeria P = M x I x T x C = 3 x 1 x 196 x 0.92 = 541

Total points for the month of November =
286 + 541 = 827 x 0.4(% for number of matches)
= 331

Current Nigeria fifa rankings points = 721(41st)

721 + 331 = 1052

Therefore, Nigeria's November points should be 1052. Barring any plus or minus, we should be around 25 grin in world rankings by December.

Thank you Argentina cheesy

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:59am On Nov 15, 2017
I had said that we would need to keep on searching for more competition at LB, while Aina, Ebuehi and Shehu all battle it out at RB. Because as it stands Idowu has given us a good display. But we still need to see more from him. Echiejile does not meet the current WC standard. We are talking 2018.

Goke7:
forget potential, aina can't be our lwb, rohr is conservative and I doubt he will risk aina on that left side again except there are injuries to other players.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:47am On Nov 15, 2017
As it stands, Aina will go to the world cup, because at least he has shown some potentials at the left, and he can play at the right. Echiejile is a dedicated LB, but still poor. He does not offer us options.

Goke7:
with what you have said here, you and I know that aina chances of making the final team to russia is minimal except some other players are injured. The RB is surely btw shehu and ebuehi though I have seen you making a case for shehu to be pushed up into the midfield for your dear aina to have a chance but you are not rohr, we all thought aina had finally displaced elderson until yesterday's game though I already saw the signs against Algeria. Pray harder for aina to make the cut cos for now it's not looking too good for him
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:38am On Nov 15, 2017
Gernot Rohr:
It’s good victory for us but it doesn’t mean we’ve become favorites to win the World Cup. We stay humble & realize we have more work to do.
We prepared well for this game because playing Argentina is big for us, maybe it is different for them.

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:12am On Nov 15, 2017
GK position: I think it's time we give David Nwokolor a chance. There is nothing these lads can learn from Ezenwa.
Let's just take Uzoho, Alampasu, and Nwokolor

Defense: I suggest we keep searching for another LB. Let Shehu, Aina and Ebuehi battle it out at RB.
Echiejile should get another competition for who will make the bench at LB. Preferably a versatile left-footed defender.

Forwards: I'm not sold on Kayode and Onyekuru yet. They need more game time to prove their mettle.
Let a fit Success Isaac (with EPL games under his belt), Paul Onuachu, and Sarenren-Bazee (with Bundesliga games under his belt) come to the battle. Then we pick two out of the five.
Where is Moses Simon?

PDPGuy:
My ridiculously early prediction of Rohr’s 23-man World Cup squad... cheesy

GKs - Uzoho, Ezenwa, Alampasu (if Enyeama doesn’t return)

Defenders - Idowu, Echiejile, Ebuehi, Aina, Ekong, Balogun, Omeruo, Awaziem.

Midfielders - Mikel Obi, Shehu Abdullahi, Onazi, John Ogu, Ndidi, Joel Obi/Mikel Agu.

Forwards - Iwobi, Iheanacho, Kayode, V. Moses, Onyekuru, Ighalo.

Having a 6ft 5in player, in Uzoho, as our goalkeeper is massive. He will gobble up most of our opponents’ crosses, for sure. And if he plays at the WC, he will become the tallest Nigerian player ever at a World Cup.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:00am On Nov 15, 2017
Shehu is listed among the midfielders. Abdullahi is Shehu

aodis:
How abt shehu and Joel Noah Sareren Bazee huh Rohr is taking that guy to the W/C!
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 8:42pm On Nov 14, 2017
Ogu has shown he is not in the team just to make the numbers. He sat back with Ndidi. Something I expected. Now I bench is beginning to prove a point, and it doesn't matter who ends up in bench. As Safarigirl said every player must at least kick a ball before Russia.

Who remain? Nwakali and Agbo . Onyekuru and Kayode needs more time. They should plan a 3 day get together in December, and maybe we can play any assembled team or something. How about SE vs Naija based in UK?

OMANBALA1:
Ndidi input in this team is massive. He has so much energy in him it is not a joke. And the presence of Ogu made us to almost forget Onazi.

I saw more of the second half

TheGoodJoe:
I do not get you because Mikel Obi moved forward a lot of times. Especially in the first half.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 8:29pm On Nov 14, 2017
Defensive pivots yes. But Mikel didn't go forward like he usually does.

Oasis007:
grin

Boss.... I'm ain't actually following the Formation, but what's the Evident on the Pitch. He's simply tracking back, pressing, same as Iheanacho.

When Musa and Kayode came in too, they maintained the Discipline and the Game-Plan. Mikel was actually the AM on the Pitch in a Triangle Midfield Shape with two DMs behind him.

Oasis007:
Bro..... we played 2 Upront in the Match, Iwobi played as a SS, while Mikel pkayed as an AM.

Moses Simon will have to fight again for a starting shirt.

Who has noticed that Iwobi's 4 goals so far have all come from the AM position?
