Details Of Eagles Close Door Session – Alampasu Impresses , Ogu Pushing To StartThe training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria which was held behind close doors wasn’t entirely closed to Owngoalnigeria.com eagle eyed correspondent Osas Mahawi. According to Mahawi the session had two different sections, one being tactical and the other a two a-side game played under the watchful eyes of coach Gernot Rohr. As customary shooting practice was held after the session with Alampasu distinguishing himself between the stick with fine reflexes, just like he did during the training game and tactical drills. John Ogu is still one of the top performers in training, and could edge Oghenekaro Etebo in the battle for a spot in the midfield of the team ahead of Saturday’s game against South Africa. The possibles which we won’t reveal did drills with the coach against players who are not guaranteed to start, with emphasis more on how to attack, defend and also goal scoring. They will have their final session today before the coach will name his squad, although not much changes if any at all is expected from the line up published by this portal yesterday. Welcome to the house. I plan on visiting your country. I've flown Ethiopian Airways once.. Nice people!! Hati13: I didn't understand the words. Are you trying to say "Baria" in your second word? If so, then it means "slave or black slave". |

I believe so. I'm looking into the idea as well. I think the best place to start is networking. And anytime! safarigirl: okay, I've got four skills and qualities down, are there sports agencies in this country?
Thanks |

Yes as Komekn stated you have to go through the NFF. Until 2011 the license is given directly by FIFA. Being an agent is a profession. Hence, there is no restriction as regards gender. Also in 2015 FIFA replaced the FIFA Agents Regulations with new regulations. In fact football agents are now called intermediaries. There are no qualifications besides that you have to be at least 18 I think. Steps to take 1. Registration You will have to register with NFF. And it a yearly membership fee. I am not an intermediary else I would have had the info handy lol. I believe there are documents you will need to sign form my research, by FIFA standards, an Intermediary Declaration and you need to satisfy the requirements of a "Test of Good Conduct"(naija na naija). I will encourage good networking. In fact in any field of endeavor the advantage of networking cannot be overemphasized. My suggestion is to register for one of the membership packages at thenff.com ( http://www.thenff.com/membership-tiers/). This will give you an opportnunity to start to rub shoulders with people with like minds. Also plan to draft a Representation Contract agreement. Which you would use in future to establish binding contracts between you and your clients. Also keep this in mind: SKILLS AND QUALITIESSince there are no entry requirements to become an intermediary here are some skills that will come in handy: – Work experience with a sports agency: Contact agencies to see if there are any internships/jobs available. That way you will get to know people in the industry and learn about the procedures. – Contacts within football industry: In this business, connections are very important. They help you reach more players and clubs making your job as an intermediary much easier. – Legal knowledge: It might come as a surprise but an intermediary needs a lot of knowledge about contract law. It is common for intermediaries to have a law degree or some other type of law education. – Business knowledge: The other part of your job will be negotiating so business knowledge is also very important. – Football knowledge: You will need to understand the game of football and how to spot talent. After all, better clients mean more income for you. – Social skills: Intermediary doesn’t only take care of contract negotiations. A lot of times he also takes the role of player’s PR. He often even gives advice to players regarding their personal issues. safarigirl: Good morning house, please I want to ask, what are the qualifications required to be a football agent? And are there female football agents for male players?

Agbim. is he still playing? I don't think finding great goalkeepers is hard. If anyone want to argue about favoritism lets focus on the goalkeeping department in order to end the bad trend especially with these home/afro based keeprs.. Let's not distract ourselves with outfield players. Our goalkeeper coaches are very lazy. Why are they not scouting the NPFL and NNL? do4luv14: speaking of where us that AGBIM guy sef |

We are saying the same thing different ways. komekn: Enyeama is true gentleman and a man of integrity he has no issues with the NFF. Rather the powers that be in the NFF have issues with him and his uncompromising integrity.
He should be given an unreserved apology for the way he was treated. |

Coaches throw in a joker every once in a while. Let's not hype South Africa, but let's take them seriously because we need to make a point to them once and for all never to ever think of trying to measure up with us in football tbaba1234: Rohr will not start any new player in a match like this except he is Messi. . Ebuehi, Onyekuru and Co will come in the second half if needed. He love to ease his players in. |

Since Rohr likes him, I'm sure he is doing something right these days. My ideal full back should be good going forward and also defend effectively. TheGoodJoe: To be honest I have not been a fan of Echiejile but he has really improved under Rohr and he gets my nod. |

Yea, win some lose some.. player like Solanke have been lost long time ago.. some of dem oyinbo pass oyinbo.. that one na waste of effort.. Make we see their Nigerian doings for instagram/twitter first. But anyways i'm for Venezuela for same reasons. Both teams need the win badly because they have been absent over the years as regards titles internationally. Mujtahida: I know you don't want them to win so that the Nigerians amongst them do not get fortified in their ambition to play for Nigeria. But omo look naaa. Save for some one or two positions we are bursting at the seams already. Anyone we lay hands on, fine. I don't think we'd do badly if we continue discovering and building our team without recourse to the British born guys. |

Personally I no like Echiejile. He is never super in competitive games. Maybe Ogu should be tried there, cuz he is a lefty. TheGoodJoe: Very deadly set-up, especially with the attack. However, no pace on the flanks. Although I am not a fan of the three at the back set-up. |

But for some individuals in the NFF who are feigning ignorance to the issue, he will be back in the team. safarigirl: people who have been in relationships usually don't notice certain things because they are blinded in those moments by the idea of it.

Rohr List Onyekuru, Mikel Agu & Kayode As Players Making It Hard For Him To Pick Starting XIAhead of the Super Eagles game against South Africa coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has confessed that certain players are making it difficult for him to decide on a starting line up. Speaking at the pre match conference of the team witnessed by Owngoalnigeria.com Osas Mahawi, Rohr said the new players in his team are pushing the regulars for a spot in the starting line up. Rohr listed three players in particular who are making it hard for him to pick a starting line up ahead of Saturday’s game against South Africa in the race to be at the next cup of nations in 2019. “It will be very difficult to make a starting XI because we have many good young players now,” Rohr said. “The young players have brought a fresh spirit to the team and we must go forward and progress.Their integration is going very well. “We have a new defensive midfielder, Mikel Agu, who is doing very well as well as the strikers from Belgium (Henry Onyekuru) and Austria (Olanrewaju Kayode). They have been working hard.” http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/06/08/rohr-list-onyekuru-mikel-agu-kayode-as-players-making-it-hard-for-him-to-pick-starting-xi/ |

nice analogy. and the 'ex' came visiting. rather the obsessed ex was visited. Enyeama loves Nigeria. And dont have a problem returning. He has issues with some in the NFF. so your point is faulty. safarigirl: like I said, just like the obsessed ex that doesn't know when to move on. |

lol Naija reporters like to make up stories from their insinuations. I no go call name. We shouldn't take every report seriously. Anyways, I like it that Onyekuru is thinking right. That's the kind of mindset I like our youngsters to have. And i hope he learns from Kanu in that respect. Because if he adds that to his game he will be a beast. TheSuperNerd: Onyekuru not prepared to be a bench player By Colin Udoh, KweseESPN.
Arsenal target Henry Onyekuru says his next club destination will be determined by how much playing time he will get.
Onyekuru, 20, finished joint-top scorer in the Belgian league last season, despite it being his first season with KAS Eupen as they finished fourth from bottom.
His red-hot form has made him one of the most sought-after players in Europe, but Onyekuru says his first priority is playing time.
"The first and most important thing for a player is to get playing time," Onyekuru tells KweséESPN.
"I'm still young and I still have a long career to pursue but now I need to play.
"My agents are in talks with top clubs in the Premier League, Bundesliga, French league and others. If they accept our terms, then I'll make a decision.
"It's not just about going to a big club and sitting on the bench. It's not good for me, or being loaned to a club where I won't play or where I will struggle to play.
"The money can come later but for now, I just want to play to improve, not just to play for a big club," he explains. Onyekuru, a self-confessed Arsenal fan, added that he would also like to join a club where he can challenge for, and win, trophies, not fight against relegation.
He says: "It was very hard for me last season in Belgium because we just got promoted and our first objective was to stay in the league.
"Sometimes I would score two goals and we would end up losing the game. That was tough for me. It was just God's favor that helped me because finishing 13th in the league but emerging joint top scorer was just amazing.
"So I won't like to go to a club where I will fight again just to stay in the league. I want to win trophies and if I can win trophies at my age, it will be good for me."
A whirlwind season also culminated in his getting a call up to the senior Nigeria squad, where he hopes to emulate his idol, former Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu.
The striker added: "I used to watch [Kanu] a lot when he played for Nigeria and also Arsenal because I have been an Arsenal fan since [then], and I like the way he plays more with his head and not his strength."
There is another Arsenal connection for Onyekuru in the Nigeria squad in Alex Iwobi, who was reported to have weighed in about attracting the young striker to London.
Onyekuru says he was surprised to read the reports: "I saw that in the news and I was surprised. I didn't talk to Iwobi about anything."
As the Super Eagles prepare to face off against South Africa in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday, the forward is confident that Gernot Rohr's young lads will triumph.
Onyekuru says: "The fact that the coach has never lost with Nigeria is part of what is giving us confidence and increasing our morale that we can't lose.
"I believe with the team we have and the team spirit we have we will come out victorious against South Africa. It won't be easy, but with the fans supporting us, we will come out victorious."
