Business / Re: The Original CBN Act Says "Non-Interest Banking" Not "Islamic Banking" by joecrack(m): 8:41am On Jul 11, 2011
SLS has definitely got some amorous agenda he is pursuing,
remember how months before he became CBN chief we read in newspapers of plans to axe some bank CEO's,two months after getting the job,the guy actually hacked them.
Hmm,nigerians shine your eyes and wise up oh.

Yea Yea no doubt, calabar is the cleanest city in nigeria, this is not because the state govt has made it so,but crossiveriens are naturally clean people,so its so easy to keep a place like that clean.
Politics / Re: Breaking News: Five Killed, 10 Injured In Boko Haram Attack by joecrack(m): 8:56pm On Jul 03, 2011
This is no longer news, nigerians should have gotten use to this,
what do you expect the COAS is busy threatening boko haram on newspaper pages, instead of facing them on ground,
while SSS are detaining elrufai, case of misplace priorities, meanwhile people are dieing in borno.

Business / Re: Islamic Banking Not A Ploy To Shortchange Non-muslims, Says Nscia by joecrack(m): 3:47pm On Jul 03, 2011
Well, except the north can assure us of tollerance, and that this would not balloon into something else.
No one should blame southerners/xtians of being non-objective or intollerate of this,we just dont know what this would turn into in some few years, especially up north,
its a good system,no doubt, personally i dont mind operating with it,but sorry our skepticism is best at it not seeing the daylight
Politics / Re: South East Pdp Leaders Demand National Chairmanship Position by joecrack(m): 3:27pm On Jul 03, 2011
But the dailies are tipping Bamanga Tukur a likely replacement.
Politics / Re: South East Pdp Leaders Demand National Chairmanship Position by joecrack(m): 3:17pm On Jul 03, 2011
"majorities" should be happier they've got access to free oil money that pays the bills.
EzeUche:

This is Africa, if you do not have the numbers, then you will not have your voices heard. Minorities should be happy that the president of Nigeria comes from a minority group.
Politics / Re: Beggars Deported Back To Their States From Abuja by joecrack(m): 2:49pm On Jul 03, 2011
I dont really believe the ibos beg cuz if it gets to the worst, they'll dabble into crime just like anyone would do,
being an abuja resident, you definitelly find underage kids hawking various commodities around the city, majority of them are ibos, especially ebonyi state.
Its really not their fault, they've got to survive.

@ I dey laugh
sempe for u,
na those when know fit talk.
What pains the most is that Crossiverians are so docile,
they've turned them into some dumb dancers while our leaders they chop they go.
Tell me,could something like this happen in a yoruba state,no,even if it's a one party state, they'll ask questions and scrutinize the whole idea, call for public hearing and so on,cuz its public funds and goodwill you are about to use,but no,we foolishly let the man dictate and shove it down our necks what ever he(duke) wanted,he was an emperor, the only strong opposition to him in the state was his deputy whom he murdered in cold blood, and when he left a zombie who as power minister told us we should not expect power till 2056,and under his watch over $16b was used for power projects without no single megawatt generated was made governor,as clueless as he is,funding athletics is his own lame legacy he'll leave behind.
All these happen when you decide to run a one party show,
Crossiverians pls less kick this guy out next year.
Politics / Re: Ministerial Nominee Cant Speak English! by joecrack(m): 8:53am On Jul 03, 2011
Patiance is not recognised by the constitution,as such we dont give a damn about her capabilities nor disabilities.
If gej promised he was gonna bring technocrats blah blah blah in his cabinet, then Maina's nomination is an insult to our votes.

EzeUche:

This is a national disgrace!

It is sad to see Northerners who cannot speak English very well. Ahmadu Bello and Balewa could speak English very well.
it really amazes me when i see northerners who should speak english well fumble,
i've got this interview ahmadu bello had with the bbc,it still marvels me how he wayback in the 50's spoke so well but same cannot be said of most northern politicians(esp NW & NE)

afam4eva:

The project was not a foolish one. Even though like I said earlier that tinapa does not fit the profile of that city. But that does not mean the project would'nt succeed if it was well thought out.

well bro, indeed it was not well thought out(though with good intentions) that's why it has some what become a failure today.
Our politicians should face basics and stop all these white elephant projects, cuz at the end of the day,the poor masses bear the brunt for all these shyt.
Today imoke is always hiding under the smoke screen of paying back debts when challenged over democracy dividends.
In my LG the guy has done only 2 projects in his 4years as gov, constructing a 40km road, and rural electrification.can u beat that,in 4 years.nigerians are really suffering and smilling.
Business / Re: Rich Nigerians: Why Are You Not Patronizing Tinapa? by joecrack(m): 9:56pm On Jul 01, 2011
Jason i feel u bro,
personally as a crossriverian,i have never been in tandem with that project since its inception, cuz i believe the enormous agric potentials of the state was laying under utilize.
Duke was blarbing tinapa would be generating over $1b in a year, where the $1b dey,the state is now paying back debts just because of one man's foolish policies.
Business / Re: Rich Nigerians: Why Are You Not Patronizing Tinapa? by joecrack(m): 9:34pm On Jul 01, 2011
Abeg jason,
comparison b/w CR and kwara or jigawa does not even exist,at least if for nothing else,my state capital is the most organised and cleanest state capital in nigeria
Politics / Re: No Free Hajj Again In Ogun, Says Amosun by joecrack(m): 9:11pm On Jul 01, 2011
Andre Uweh:

Well done Amosun. But that is not enough. Those that have benefited from the state pulse to embark on pilgrimages should be asked to refund the money bit by bit. A special task force may be created to enforce this refund. It will really help the debt-ridden state.
no nah bros
dat no possible oo,they'll tell you they are nigerians abi indigenes, and therefore are ably entitled to national cake.

alj_harem:

yes i support links between cross river and south east

i think the cross river people and indeed the majority of the people in cross river, akwa ibom, should come together and develop a plan for the SE

all this " he is ibiobio, he is igbo , he is ijaw, efik" has to end for progress

if everyone is thinking like that then tinapa and indeed other projects will not work

i support this bond between SE and Cross river for tinapa and other projects to reach there full potential

and yes, that railway and transportation system is also very important for it to work be it tinapa or the bond
with all the regional confusion,i dont see CR state in any partnership with the south east, they seem more alligned with the SS,the new one is now BRACED.when in real sence, they share more cultures, and are very close to SE,
personally i think,interfacing and networking aba,nnewi,onitsha would do the magic,but then infrastructures-that road,kai.

Well nice move by amosun,
but sha his mates up north wont try it ooo, they will term you an enemy of islam, and you sure know u are not coming back to govt house.
But is it not time for change, people wallop in poverty whilst the govt spend thousands in hundreds to sponsor them for one unnecessary exercise.

LOL,hey gej i pity for you,cuz the insults would flow like spring water,
but in naija's case i think,as a people we love to insult others,it's so common, people dont even fuss about it.
I mean on TV Obj was saying the difference b/w him and yar'adua, while yar'adua would do nothing if you insult him,he(obj) would insult you back, can u imagine a president saying that,ha ha ha

MAY GOD SAVE TINAPA

.
no need bringing God into this,he's done his part by giving men good thinking faculty,
its quite sad many dont use it,
you dont build such luxuries in a state like CR,nope that's not what the people need, you've got to empower them, and give them jobs, its only when you have money you think of flexing.
And the dumb notion by DUKE that tinapa is meant for the rich across Nigeria to come relax and spend is so lame, what was he thinking, building malls exclusively for the rich,oo duke, and most nigerians think he is clever ha ha though handsome i must add.
Politics / Re: By 2050 The Population Of Nigeria Will Be 402 Million by joecrack(m): 5:13pm On Jul 01, 2011
Reducing birth rate in nigeria would never happen, with the mentality majority have that "children come from God" ha,
the best bet would be for govt to harness other of our numerous resources that will take care of the millions coming.
Business / Re: Rich Nigerians: Why Are You Not Patronizing Tinapa? by joecrack(m): 4:51pm On Jul 01, 2011
You put in a whooping $450m on a project and 4-5years after,it gives you nothing, yea yea only a dumb duke would do something like that, imagine if he had invested massively in agriculture with that money,
CR state is just too blessed, are we talking of the cocoa( that has trained and is still training all my family members btw we are over 24)in the northern and central part of the state,to the bananas, plantains,
omg palm trees that grow on their own or what,is it the pineapple in CR South,
enormous agriculture venture DUKE should have invested in,he brings a dumb project without weighing the prospects and options. Now he has left a highly indebted state,a retardo-governor who has no clue on what to do with the place. And crossiverians i blame, they've decided to run a one party state, perhaps the only state with no opposition, come next year, they'll still vote lmoke whose certificate in intl economics from a foreign university is questionable.
