Politics / Re: I Won’t Attend Jonathan’s Inauguration, By Buhari by joecrack(m): 5:51am On May 29, 2011
Whats our biz,if u attend or dont.
Let him be talking of irregularities in SS & SE.he wouldn't comment on the fact that over half of his votes in the north were from underaged almajiris.
See who's saying his supporters being chased away in the south, when corp members told us cpc supporters hijacked the process in the north, forcing and threatening people to vote for buhari.

Politics / Re: After Massacres, Anger In Nigeria's North by joecrack(m): 9:58pm On May 28, 2011
Meanwhile my peeps in kd earlier in the day hinted me the town is quite tensed, most people are indoors, apparently some 'buhari' boys are saying 'baza mu aida ba' in reaction to 2morrows inaugration, but no worries, security full ground.

The southern Kaduna christians seem to have perfected the act of keeping the islamists in check in northern Nigeria. I've met with a couple of these 'kaje' guys. They appear naturally stubborn and tough.

The beroms have also started to learn the ropes gradually.
u are absolutely correct man.these 'chungi' boys are outrageously tough, sturborn and braver than the almajiries, ever ready, very coordinated and when they strike, believe me its a massacre.see what they did in sabo, maraba rido down to kad south, men, truth be told, casualties from the muslim hausas were incredibly much compared to the xtians.

Politics / Re: Should The Pay Of Legislators Be Reduced? by joecrack(m): 8:30pm On May 28, 2011
Just saw the figures now,why and how does these kind of things happen in this country, imagine a senator collects 20mnaira a month, when we hardly see what they do,they delay on passage of bills, they hardly do constituency projects, gosh.
Obama earns 5mnaira a month, while US lawmakers earn around 2mnaira.just imagine david mark being paid 88mnaira for a month.our democracy is a mockery.dis is pure injustice meted out to the nigerian people, this has got to stop, there needs to be a downward review asap from the salaries of the president down to senior and public civil servants.
Yet labour is asking 18k minimum wage, see the way they are dilly dallying with the whole process.

Politics / Re: Four-year Term Short, Says Jonathan by joecrack(m): 8:24pm On May 27, 2011
Many a time,i ask myself, ponder and wonder, why this vexation towards gej,see N'Landers venting crass anger on this man,you can feel their adrenaline pumping,i bet abacha and ibb put together wont be hated like this.some for the fun of it would quote and misquote everything outta proportion, someone had posted saying gej said he would do absolutely nothing cuz 4 years was nt enough, for God sake when did he ever make such comment.
He was making comments as regards nigerias foreign policy and was hinting there was need for ministers to stay long on the job so there could be some kind of continuity and stability in govt policies,at that point he intertwined that even the presidency and gov'norship,4years was really not enough to achieve all what you set out for.imagine a simple harmless comment, which in discreetely looking at without bias, the man was right,in view of the fact that our democracy and economy is just evolving with diverse socio-politico issues at play.
Next thing anti gej guys begin to read negative meanings into all this, someone earlier posted he was trying to test the ground for tenure elongation, haba, wouldn't that be overbiting the good-luck nigerians have given him.
All these just reminds me of the US,Obama was regarded as a green horn,he is minority,he does not fit into ur normal US president,he is no heavyweight,he is weak blah blah blah, these are corresponding xtics some nigerians label gej.but see obama today, the guy has come out strong gunning for second term, see top republican bigwigs dropping their ambitions, the man they called weak is launching into wars that they are complaining and telling him to soft pedal, bush couldn't get osama in 6yrs obama did in less than 3,thats how the man would ride to white house again. And believe thats how gej would shame haters, all those bitc.hing him would eat their words back.
No be naija we dey

I cant just imagine the hate towards gej from u guys, the fact remains for a leader to transform a nation,he needs the support of all,but no,you guys would insult and castigate him at every slight instance, some people are praying hard the man does not succeed, and yet they want to see transformation, how ironic.
Politics is over, devoid of ur political underpinning, cpc or acn,pls support the young chap as we move into the verge of 'fresh air'

hercules07:

@joe and ozin

I am not knocking Akwa Ibom, the praise for anything that has happened in Akwa Ibom should go to Attah, if you know the dynamics of what happened in 2007 you will know what I am talking about, the Edet Akpan expressway that was commissioned ( 12 lanes road ) was built by Attah not Akpabio, the transformation of Uyo was done by Attah, you are speaking to someone who has been going to Akwa Ibom since 2001, I know that state very well, Akpabio has done some roads no doubt about it, but he has not uplifted the people, you see the economic situation of the people remaining the same from 2002 to date, the laudable objectives of Attah were thrown out, he has only empowered touts, now Attah was not a saint, he drove a smoking patrol in 1999, now, he is a billionaire (stole his people blind), but, he had a vision for the state, he regretted the houseboy tag that was used on Akwa Ibomite and was trying to empower them, when it was time to leave, he chose his son in law who could have even won at the primaries if not for the fact that he had his uncle running as well for another post (led to a lot of cancelled votes). The total length of roads constructed by Akpabio is not up to the Lekki express way and the quality is something else, Ozin, post the recent picture of the airport road, that road can never be compared to ordinary Funsho williams road.
more like it
you know the state, the politics and its dynamics.i might not really know who did what, though i'm aware the airport and the ibom power was started by attah.
But the fact remains there is an appreciable level of structures on ground in aks, even the people these days acknowledge it and are proud.
I think eko ile does not really believe any good can come out from a pdp govt, but we all know a few have done well,
Politics / Re: Four-year Term Short, Says Jonathan by joecrack(m): 10:13am On May 27, 2011
Stop peddling rumours,he said many peole have said 4years is not enough to transform a country like nigeria, and he also believed it.
Besides,do u have a problem if he decides to run.stop him if u can.
Politics / Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by joecrack(m): 9:47am On May 27, 2011
Plus did i hear u say aks posts larger budget than lagor, pls do ur checkings well, lagos is spending $3b for 2011 while aks is $2b
Politics / Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by joecrack(m): 9:08am On May 27, 2011
I earlier stated what i saw,i told u i saw clean expansive roads, public schools that were up to standards, etc nw u are saying i should explain,hw do u want me explain roads, schools ehn.
I am not pr aid for akpabio,i just stated a simple fact that the state considerable looks better than what it was 4,5 years ago.whats a crime in that,i mean is just like oshodi that has nw a better look compared to what it was some years back, simple.Ozin who is more concerned about his state has promised he'll bring photos, pls lets expect em

Rhino.5dm:

Some people here are trying hard to sell sympathy by all means. . . Why should i condemn a whole region for the action of few misguided ones. Whenever is comforting them they will carve out 'middle belt' from the NORTH. When they want to condemn they will use WHOLE NORTH. Why not north east this or north west that?

This for me is the height of hypocrisy and smack of double standard.

If you fear your life then STOP going to the north. Personally, I will never live in ABIA state no matter what the benefit is. That means i shouldn't be bad-mouthing the whole Igbo because of fear being killed in Abia.

Look like zstranger said "If the heat is too much for you then get out of the kitchen"

let our conscience guide our actions and thought. Shalom!
see,the no we are talking here is just to much to only blame the "few disgruntled" you talk about.9m kids is no piss of cake, this shows a total neglect and non challance of the entire north to this menace.perhaps the majority enligtened should educate the disgruntled.
Politics / Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by joecrack(m): 8:25am On May 27, 2011
If i tell u things i saw, next you'll ask me to give u pictures which i dont have plus i dont stay there, just went there on visits.
Its ridiculous to say aks is richer than lag, they may get FG allocation than lagos, but it is no where close to lagos in terms of funds>revenue generation.
Politics / Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by joecrack(m): 8:04am On May 27, 2011
@Eko ile
i doubt u've been there before,if u know the place a couple of years ago, things have quite change.i'm not from there,i had a priviledge of being there 5 yrs ago and when i visited months back, from a lay man's point of view, its quite changed
Politics / Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by joecrack(m): 7:55am On May 27, 2011
On uduak edward. everybody have got his own p.r mechanism, govs, mins, politicians, all of them.sometime u just have to tell ur own story,i worked in a p.r firm in abj and we had these politicians as clients, they just want their stories(good) to be on the news, nothing bad about that.I mean we complain western press hating on africa with all those negative stories thats cuz we dont have a structure to counter them.
So when next akpabio does some good, uduak's byline would appear on the papers,no difference with fash.

why are you hating on godswill,i mean do u have a personal grouse with him.
Ozin did not diss fash, the dude is just happy with his own gov, just like you.
You both have something in common, dont u think so.
Politics / Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by joecrack(m): 7:03am On May 27, 2011
Anybody saying godswill has done nothing in akwa ibom state is really being economical with the truth,i'm a cross'varian,2006 when i was in akwa ibom, the place was a sham, uyo was a glorified town, interestingly when the whole media hype started,i quite did not want to believe it,ofcourse we know nigerian politicians, but a friend of mine from akwa ibom gracefully invited me on a 3days trip there and believe you me i was very much impressed with akpabio, the roads, schools, beautification of uyo, electricity,i mean lets give kudos.
@hercules
i really dont see the basis for comparison btw lag and akwa ibom, they are two states far apart and on economic, population and what have you indexes, the bottomline is a man is doing his best in transforming a rural state and i think he must be commended,he's got more 4years and believe me akwaibomites would be better for it.
In my view akpabio has done far much in 4 yrs compared to attah's 8years.obviously,they fell out cuz godswill did not want to play ball with state funds, attah is known to be a very notorious looter
Politics / Re: My Name Is Almajiri: A Story by joecrack(m): 6:02am On May 27, 2011
Quite sad,is the norm in the north, the elites and middle class who are suppose to be educated see all these and yet doesn't seem to be a problem to them, but its to their peril and that of their children, these almajiris would grow up without education~employment and by the time they are frustrated, the society would suffer for it.
People like buhari, ibb, gusau et al through out the years with their level of influence could not rally the north to put an end to this dehumanising menace<but no,they want to be presidents,so they drag other parts of nigeria backwards with their crude, conservative ideals.

it sucks, just taking advantage over an unfortunate situation to extort from a fellow masses.they automatically became demigods.
