Politics › Re: Why Atiku’s Peter Obi Pick Divided South-East - Thisday Newspaper by joepepsy(m): 2:37pm On Oct 28, 2018
Is atiku the president? atiku is not the president and he will not be.
odiks:
How promise of vice presidency to multiple candidates caused a storm

Igbo leaders demand agreement on single term

It has emerged that the immediate pushback by South-east leaders against the choice of their kinsman, Mr. Peter Obi, as running mate to the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in next year’s election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was due to an alleged multiplicity of persons promised the same post. Atiku was said to have promised about five people from the zone the same position, but settled for Obi without running it by the others.

Thus, rather than elicit excitement, Atiku’s eventual pick of Obi caused unexpected rage among the political elite in the South-east, as a majority of them considered his decision without consultation a betrayal.

Among those believed to have been promised the vice presidential position were the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu; Chairman, South-east Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi; Obi himself; and two others, whose identities could not be immediately ascertained at the time of going to press.

THISDAY learnt that Atiku was advised by his campaign team to promise as many people as possible the vice presidential position, which was exactly what he did as a way to corner the South-east votes at the convention. It was on the basis of this that many of the potential picks went to work and campaigned vigorously, mobilising the South-east states to support Atiku’s presidential bid and at the same time committing huge personal resources in the hope that an Atiku win would automatically catapult their political career.

Unfortunately, while they were still celebrating Atiku’s victory and the hitch-free convention that brought him, the news broke on the social media that Atiku had settled for Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, as his running mate.

According to one of the former vice presidential hopefuls, who preferred anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the issue, he was shocked by the news.

“I thought it was fake news, when I first heard it on the social media,” he said. “I was shocked. It hit me so hard I couldn’t believe it, not even the courtesy of one phone call to let me know things had changed and that the promise earlier made to me was no longer feasible. At least, I would understand.” Another person said to have been promised the same post also lamented the way Atiku eventually made his pick without recourse to them.

He said, “Many of us were disappointed. We expected that having emerged as the PDP candidate the running mate pick would go through a process that would eventually lead to his pick. But that was not the case. We had even thought of involving APGA to get their buy-in so that the entire South-east would be involved in the selection process, which would have put us in a very strong position going into the election.

“Right now, Atiku does not have APGA on his side and this is critical if we must mobilise the entire South-east to turn out massively to vote. Don’t forget Goodluck Jonathan lost by about two million votes, if South-east had turned out massively to vote, the story would have been different.

“So, the strong resistance from the South-east leaders wasn’t so much a rejection of Peter Obi, but more about the disappointment by some of those that Atiku had promised the same position and the lack of consultation that led to the eventual pick of Obi.”

The choice of Obi as running mate seems to have particularly affected the political career of Ekweremdu, presently the highest political office holder from the South-east. Should Atiku win the presidency in 2019, Ekweremadu, assuming he goes back to the senate cannot remain Deputy Senate President since Peter Obi would be the Vice President. The position of Deputy Senate President would naturally be zoned to another region to maintain balance and representation. So what is there for Ekweremadu?

Many are of the view that Atiku bungled the process of picking his running mate and, ultimately, watered down the momentum his emergence had generated. Multiple sources close to opinion moulders in the South-east have expressed fear that should Buhari strike a deal with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), it may create problems for Atiku.

Already, many of Atiku supporters are believed to be worried about South-east mobilisation in next year’s general election, especially, since the governors, who are unhappy with the current situation, are effectively in control of their people.

Many stakeholders are now of the view that if the Atiku/Obi ticket is to have the kind of acceptance expected from the zone, Atiku and his team would have to properly manage the situation without giving the impression that “there is nothing they can do about the decision he has taken”.

THISDAY has also learnt that Igbo leaders are demanding an agreement from Atiku on his offer to do just one term of four years which was one of the selling point to get South-east support.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was spotted with some strippers from the USA during an interactive session with the Vice President last night in Lagos.

The Strippers that are popular all over Social Media and Escorts services websites could be seen uploading invitation pictures for the program and Pastor Osinbajo took time out to show up for selfies.

The two strippers in particular are not new to Nigeria, one of them, Ms St Lucian Princess (Her Social Media name) is not new to the Lagos entertainment scene where she caused some traffic in VI sometime ago during her bikini photoshoot that announced her visit to Nigeria.

The Strippers always boast about benevolent Nigerian politicians in their social media updates and the cost of flying them to Nigeria and housing them.

This is coming after Nigeria became the Poverty capital of the world, with over 87m Nigerians slipping into poverty. According to the Poverty report, one Nigerian slip into extreme poverty every four minutes.

Professor Osinbajo is a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church that places strict rules on marriage conduct.

You guys should channel your energy somewhere else, no vacancy in aso rock .
HigherEd:
The South West would be crucial to Atiku's Victory. My advise is for him to pick a proposed SGF from the South-West now and not wait till after election. If it doesn't break campaign rules, the picture of the proposed SGF should be included in the campaign posters/bill boards of Atiku/Obi situated particularly in the South West.

He needs to create a mental equivalence of the VP and SGF in the heart of every Yoruba man alive. There's a real risk for the South West in this election. If Buhari loses the SW and by extension the election, it would severely reduce the electoral value of the South West which would encourage other candidates to look elsewhere for alliances since the Osinbanjo presence couldn't win the Zone over for Buhari.

The South West is truly playing to the tune of advanced democracy where votes are issue based, but the zone is advised not to throw caution to the wind especially In a country where the other five zones are going to put ethnicity as a core motivation for voting.
Politics › Re: Jubilation In Onitsha As Petty Traders Receive N10,000 FG TraderMoni Scheme by joepepsy(m):
Buhari is a man of honour, we love you mr president.
MalcoImX:
Petty Traders in Onitsha Main Market have received N10,000 Federal Government small business
scheme known as TraderMoni.

The traders, who had earlier registered for the scheme, on Thursday, during the official disbursement of the cash scheme at White House Main Market Onistha received credit alerts of N10,000 as the first stage of the scheme in their mobile phones.

It was excitement and jubilation as over 200 petty traders within and around the market receives TraderMoni bank alerts which they were earlier termed to be a fraud.

But, when bank alerts started hitting different beneficiaries’ phones, the situation changed even those who were yet to receive their alerts were anxiously waiting and discussing with the officials of the disbursement contractor at the venue on what next to do to receive their alerts.

The Project Supervisor of Generating Demand Management (GDM) of the enrollment, activation and disbursement company, handling the project in conjunction with Bank of Industry, BOI, Mr. Adebowale Bakare said they targeted 30,000 beneficiaries from Anambra State.

According to him, “Those who are receiving their bank alerts today for the TraderMoni, were those who enrolled a month ago when the group visited for the market for enlightenment, the people who are enrolling today will not be paid today, is only those who enrolled last month we are here to pay but everybody that enrolled will be paid.

“We are here today for enrollment of new beneficiaries, data activation of next set of beneficiaries and disbursement for the beneficiaries whose enrollment has matured, the programme has been on but people are not embracing it before now.

“The traders are given N10,000 to pay back N10, 250 in six months to collect N15,000, pay back N15,375, before another six months to collect N20,000, and then pay back N21,000 to collect N50,000 and to pay back N52,500 to collect N100.000.”

Some of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Gladys Nwafor and Eunice Imo, sachet water sellers commended Federal Government for the loan, adding that it would help them in boasting their business, and appealed for its continuation.

Mrs. Nwafor said that she will use the money to go into Garri selling to make more gain in order to collect higher amount of money for more expansion in her business.

don't bother yourself even atiku knows atiku can't be president of naija...buhari for life
Gorem2013:
Another evidence Atiku is a packaged fraud

What happened to income from private university

What about income from Intel and other companies claimed to have employed 50,000 employees

So the so called business man who is coming to turn Nigeria to Dubai cannot even manage company with 50,000 employees to good profit but want to manage Nigeria with her 190m population.

Consider this;

60m in 3 years yet able to share $5k per delegate @ PDP conversation in PH that's $2m already for 4,000 delegates

Unspecified dollar for Kukah, Oyedelo, Gunni to beg Obasanjo. For Obj to agree a million dollar donated.

(Remember no more payment of salary of obj farm employees through FG and more than 50%of farm already closed permanently. The recent was the one in Ibadan sealed by OYO state. So Obj need every donation, even from crooks, not minding whether God will forgive him or not)

Then consider million already spent on social media and brown envelope mainstream media rightly tagged 'enemy of the people' by Trump. When you hear Atiku won a poll on tweeter, it means $100k shared to about 10k social media miscreants and hungry bloggers of Ipob extraction.

The summary, Atiku is incompetent, a failure in business and a packaged fraud meant to destroy and loot Nigeria.

I support this programme not because the good south needs it, NO. An average Iboman or Ijawman can afford to send their kids to the best private schools and pay heavily for transportation and feeding. To the Ibos and Ijaws, its an investment so we don't need this watery beans service.

I support the free feeding to enable our northern and south west and north central brothers to send their children to much needed schools because if not for things like this, the uneducated ones will somehow find themselves in power in those states and continue to pull this contraption down, and we end up using our Niger Delta oil money to fight the troubles they kick up

In this 2lst century you guys still believe this nonsense? Africa is in big shit.
BoneBlogger:
A Nigerian has taken to social media to warn ladies to be very careful about how they spread their panties to avoid being victims of circumstance.

In a video he posted online, the man explained that he decided to expose the booming pant business because of the woman in his life (his mother) as he revealed that boys are using the stolen panties for "underground purpose" because they want to get quick wealth.

He also revealed that boys are now selling pants for N200,000 and the ones that have thick stains in the middle such as blood goes as high as N350,000.

He advised ladies not to spread their panties outside carelessly and to take a few when visiting their boyfriends/lovers because it's risky and dangerous if one is secretly taken for the evil purpose.

He also said that why some guys have refused to disclose this to women is because some of the ladies like forming and always bring themselves high not knowing that their destinies are being used.

He claimed that this is one of the reasons why some ladies don't marry on time and even become childless among other misfortunes that will befall them if their panties are used for the ritual purpose.

The young man said he has a soft spot in his heart for women and God won't forgive him if he doesn't expose this.

Some years ago, an unnamed young man was caught while trying to steal some female pants that were outside a house in Oyo state. According to report posted by a Facebook user, Asiwaju Oluwaseun Lanre, the guy sells the stolen pants to ritualists who pay him N500 for each pant.

After being tortured, he went on to reveal that he is not the only person in the business and that they have sponsors.

Watch the shocking confession below and hear for yourself.
