Things are so bad for some people that they can miss wonderful opportunities because of lack of transport fare. The demand for transport fare can be a sign of unseriousness from some people. Yet, there are people who are serious but cannot afford transport fare, so they beg. This guy didn't ask you for money for his luch on the day he will go for the interview.
