*never got any approval mail or mail asking for more documents. Just got a call from DHL to pick up my passport at my gate.

My husband applied for Student's visa appointment since February 2022, He got a date for 1st of June but no admission. We dont know what to do at this point. The admission he got last year had no option for deferral. We have applied to several schools for Winter session but no response yet. If he cancels the appointment and reschedules we dont know how long it will take to get another date. Is there a University in Germany that is fast with admissions process? Any ideas please

He can try contacting the school that sent him the last admission letter and explain things to them, they may be understanding and send a new admission letter. Or try out private universities they respond faster. If you want to reschedule your appointment do it on time. Please which date in February last year did he book ?

Pls share if you get a mail today. Just got feedback from the embassy stating that the wait time is almost 18 months now and not just 1 year anymore. “Almost 1.5yrs” in their words. Who else got this message.

I received a mail from the embassy for appointment, now the issue is I no longer have a valid/updated letter of admission
Pls advise me on wat to do

at this point try contacting a private uni, or better still re schedule your appointment by sending them a mail early enough and stating why.
Please which date last year did you book?

Update: no appointment date received yesterday as hoped.

Will wait till next week Friday.


My entire wait time is now 1 year and 2mths

. Hopefully it comes next week, the embassy did not open yesterday and will not be open on Monday

I think what he or she means, applied 17th December 2021 got the mail for the appointment 20th January 2023 and the appointment is scheduled for 19th February

as far as it is NPC birth certificate there is no need for any other age declaration.
Not really sure about the sponsorship letter issue.
It's either you apply for rescheduling of your appointment very early, or you go without it and explain to them it will be ready soon.

But is it that one year frame, because I was reading the thread and I saw when some said it was after two years plus before he was given appointment, no one can wait that long.
It's still okay if it is one year and some little month

It's not up to 2 years at most a year and one month
