AgricultureRe: HELP: My Goat Refuses To Suckle Its New-born Kids by JohnNgene(op): 10:55pm On Jan 26, 2016
I bought a small feeding bottle and Three Crowns milk. They've been taking it. I carried them upstairs into my house where its not so cold. They're sleeping peacefully now. I'll still try to find processed goat milk in the market tomorrow.

Freelanswer:
The nanny is sick and her udder hurts. That's why she is running away from her kid. What to do? I advise you get a feeding bottle and infant milk (if you can find processed goat milk, it would be best). Feed the kids yourself - be very soft with them. That is how to keep the kids alife for now until their mother gets well. Then, to help their mother get well, I recommend you dissolve C24/7 food supplements in water and try to make the nanny drink. If it refuses, force it to drink it. C24/7 is meant for human beings (fast restoration) but I'm pretty sure it will work for a nanny goat. You can get C24/7 in Nigeria from www.zerosickness.com.ng. You can read more on this here: http://mayalassiter.com/2009/07/when-goat-mamas-wont-nurse-their-kids/

When you're through, you can comment here if you got it right.
Thanks so much. Though I wonder where I can get processed goat milk here in Enugu. Let me go to the market and check.
AgricultureHELP: My Goat Refuses To Suckle Its New-born Kids by JohnNgene(op):
My nanny goat just gave birth to two kids. It's actually my neighbour's nanny goat but he brought it to my compound last night. It gave birth very early this morning around 4am and has been running away from its kids. Worse of all is that the nanny goat looks sick and its breasts looks flat.

Please I need advice from experienced goat-farmers. What can I do to save the two kids before they die? Is there any milk I can feed them with?

BusinessRe: How To Ship Item To Nigeria For Free??? by JohnNgene: 10:54am On Jan 15, 2016
You can get free shipping on AliExpress.com and DX.com. But you better be ready to wait for 30-60days before your package arrives Nigeria at the post office nearest to you.
Nairaland GeneralRe: The Police can't search our phones without... by JohnNgene(op): 3:58pm On Jan 04, 2016
I just read on Linda Ikeji's blog that the Inspector General of police has ordered police officers to stop accessing the phones of civilians illegally. www.lindaikejisblog.com/2016/01/ig-of-police-bans-policemen-from.html?m=1
Could it be a reaction to this my experience and post last year? Probably.
PoliticsRe: HOW AGRO-INDUSTRILIZATION CAN BE THE "NEW CRUDE OIL" IN NIGERIA by JohnNgene: 9:07pm On Dec 24, 2015
Originalsly:
Sounds good to the ear and on paper but we need to take a close look. Like op said....crude oil is basically history.I have no problems with setting up palm oil refineries....adding value to the crops and making them marketable on the international market. Large scale farms are highly mechanized ... then the employees are poorly paid. Local residents would be displaced and more would lose their means of livelihood. Then who would take the responsibility of health problems caused by fertilizer run offs..... getting into the ground water.... absorbed by the fishes we eat..... insecticides sprayed in the air that we breathe? Do we really believe the FG would for a minute think of the health of its citizens? Then we would have the introduction of GMO crops that would cross contaminate and destroy indigenous crops. When we can't use seeds from our crops to replant...don't we have to dance to the tune of the piper? We should never allow our food supply to be controlled. We should learn from the mistakes of others. Corn was the staple of South America... grown locally throughout for yearssss.... until GMO corn was introduced and contaminated local corn. Locals can no longer grow corn... they turned to coca... the one from which cocaine is derived... and we are still wondering why South America is the biggest producer of cocaine.Agri... yes... put the infrastructure and stuff in place to encourage small scale farming let people see that there is money in organic agriculture. My view.
Thanks for showing us the other side of the agroindustrialisation coin. Organic is the way to go.
BusinessForget Black Friday. Shop On 24th December!!! by JohnNgene(op):
I know this is coming late. But better late than never. Cos nobody'll tell you this secret I'm about to tell you.

If you want to buy clothes, cosmetics, shoes, toys etc cheap, go to the Main Market Onitsha on 24th December every year. You'll get whatever you want for more than half the price. For instance, if a jean was formerly N2,000 (two thousand naira), you'll buy it that day for as low as N500 (five hundred naira) or at most N1,000 (one thousand naira). No joke! Lol. The funny thing is that I bought something N300 on 23rd December, the same seller sold it to me N100 on 24th December. Can you imagine? Lol. I wish I could show you people all the things I bought today. Its unbelievably and ridiculously cheap.

Why are things so cheap on 24th December at the Main Market Onitsha?

The reason is that the market is usually closed by about 4pm every 24th December to be reopened in the new year. And most sellers would use the opportunity to sell-off old stock at the cost-price or even less.

So you see? 24th December at the Main Market Onitsha makes so much sense more than Black Friday. The only thing is make sure you eat well before coming and make sure you hold your wallet and phones well because the crowd and pushing that day is usually so so crazy. Lol

See you next year on 24th December at the Main Market Onitsha. Please don't buy all the fine fine things before me o! Lol.

Yours,
John Ngene

I think, my advice would really go a long way.

Have you heard about repackaging okrika wears?.

You can repackage okrika wears and make extra income.

Your location is good, and return on investment would be on the high margin.

Please whatsapp 09039205941 to learn more about this business.
I've actually come to appreciate this your advice/suggestion. Thanks. I'm interested in female wears. Though I don't like the idea of buying it in bales. I prefer to select by myself one by one.

I've whatsapped you.

Nairaland GeneralThe Police can't search our phones without... by JohnNgene(op):
I had an encounter with some policemen at Ikotun yesterday. I went to pick up my AliExpress package at the Ikotun post-office. I and another guy collected our packages and where leaving the post-office when this casually-dressed policeman called us, flashed his i.d card and demanded to see our packages. We told him we'd bought it online. He then took us to a corner and collected our phones. The guy's phone was dead. So the policeman handed it to his colleague to charge somewhere. He started searching through my own phone. Contacts. Text messages. Even the opera-mini. Probably my pictures too. And I kept wondering, ''Does the police have the right to search my phone like this?''

I asked him, ''What are you looking for?''
He arrogantly replied, ''I'll tell you when I find it.''
At one point, he even asked me ''You have gmail. What are you using it for? Business or what?''
I told him I use it to communicate.
He said "This things you bought. When una buy am, una receive alert from una bank abi?"
"Yes," we both answered.
"Show me the text."
I brought out my second phone from my back pocket and showed him the alert.
He was surprised to see my second phone and started searching through it.
While searching, he asked me what I do for a living, where my parents are, where I live, who I live with, what my friend who I live with does for a living and such questions. I answered his questions patiently wondering where the whole interrogation was heading to.
They asked me to leave the sun and sit down. I told them not to worry that I'm in a hurry. And that besides, my former job as an Airtel SIM sales and registration casual worker already made me not to feel the sun's heat.
He eventually asked his colleague to get the other guy's phone from where it was charging. And started searching through his phone too.
His uniformed colleague started telling us that this is the ''oracle of police''.

At another point during the whole encounter, I remember him poking at our front pockets and asking "Wetin be this?"
We brought out our wallets and handed him our i.d cards and atm cards.

I knew they were expecting us to be afraid and probably try to bribe them. But for what? Online shopping?
I told them I'm a law-abiding citizen and that a clear conscience fears no accusation.
They eventually handed us back our phones after delaying us for more than 30minutes.

When I told my friend at home about my encounter with them, he said I was lucky and warned me never to allow any officer search my phone without a warrant. That a criminal-minded officer could flash his already pre-arranged conspirator with my phone. After which, his conspirator would send an incriminating text message to my phone. E.g. ''Come back, let's go and cash the money. The Russian maga don pay'' or "The people wey we kidnap have paid the ransome. Return to base." He said he knew somebody that policemen did it to and the person had to eventually settle the fake case with N150,000. Imagine that!

Things are really happening in this country o!

So please I want to ask lawyers, human rights activists and other well-enlightened citizens out there:
DOES THE POLICE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SEARCH OUR PHONES WITHOUT A WARRANT? IS IT NOT A VIOLATION OF PRIVACY?

Meanwhile, I now understand why MTN was charged so heftily by the NCC. If all SIMs are properly registered, I don't think any criminal-minded policeman can successfully frame up an innocent citizen using the method my friend talked about.

WebmastersRe: Advice Needed Please Whats The Best Phone For Blogging Is It BB Or Android Plsss by JohnNgene: 5:07pm On Nov 14, 2015
Blackberry's better than android for blogging mainly because

1) you'll can easily type on BB's qwerty solid keypad. I don't know about you o! But typing on android's touchscreen is very frustrating.

2) BB's monthly subscription is cheaper and lasts longer.
BusinessRe: How To Make Money With Just A Laptop by JohnNgene: 4:35pm On Nov 11, 2015
1) You could type students projects, show it to them for corrections, then they can pay you for only typing and editing. Or you charge them extra to print it at a business centre for them

2) If you have passion for music, download a DJ application on your laptop and become a DJ at lodge parties, departmental/faculty events or school shows.

AgricultureRe: Can You Provide Any Of My Goat Farm Needs... VENDORS NEEDED by JohnNgene: 1:42pm On Nov 06, 2015
I think the semi-intensive would be best. I mean, the goats should have a well-ventilated pen safe from sun and rain where they can sleep at night. While they're allowed to roam within a well-fenced land. Of course, you'll provide them food and water twice or thrice daily. That's how I intend to rear my own goats.

I don't think it's wise to start with more than one hundred goats for a first-time goat-rearer. Start with maybe fifty goats in your first year. Then grow to hundred goats in second year. Before expanding to five hundred goats from your third year in the business.

I wish you success.

Nnannem, Airsaylongcon your potential user is giving you a reasonable reason why he doesn't feel safe using his facebook to login to your site and instead of giving him another option, you're here arguing with him.

You better thank him for even giving you his reasons. Many other potential users/visitors of your site will most likely forget about your site and visit google instead.

Your new startup will succeed when you learn to listen to suggestions and make necessary adjustments.

Don't do forex, affiliate marketing, adsense blogging or all those nonsense.

Since you already have a laptop and modem, I advice you to learn graphics designing. That way, you can design posters for people on weekends.

Or if you can type fast, go from school to school, tell them you can type and print their examination questionaires for them at a cost.

I wish you success my friend. Don't ever be tempted to sell your laptop o! Lol

My brother, do you know that the domain name KingsWeb.com is no longer available? I checked just now on GoDaddy.com. I'll advice you to go and register TheKingsWeb.com as soon as possible before another person buys it o!

It'll cost you about $15 or N3,300 to register it for a year. But it's better to take advantage of their ongoing promo and pay for two years, which is about $18 or N4,200. After that, you can just redirect it to your KingsWeb.cf if you're not yet ready to pay for hosting.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dear Job Seeker, Don't Think Yourself Into Depression by JohnNgene: 12:20pm On Oct 28, 2015
I advice every job seeker to learn how to compromise. For instance, if you can't find a job of N60,000-N100,000, why not take a job of N20,000-N30,000? At least until you land your desired job. Idleness doesn't pay.
