I have N200,000 as capital. I'm wondering which business will be more profitable to do in a university area. Should I go into the phone business (cheap phones, screen guard, chargers, batteries, phone cases, power banks, music and app downloads)? Or should I go into cosmetics (eye pencils, makeup kits, lip sticks, nails, blush)? The university's located in the South East. The shop rent is about N90,000. Please advice me. |

@LordHugo I really appreciate this your sincere detailed guide. Thank you very much. Please can you compile it into an ebook? I'm willing to pay up to N300 (three hundred naira) for my own pdf copy. |
Very informative guide. Please share the rest with us. I'm seriously interested in snail farming. Are you on whatsapp? |
Well done!!! I support your resourcefulness. If the government don't want to build roads, we'll do it with cement. If the government can't give us security, we'll do it with vigilantes. And if the government wants to punish us for helping ourselves, we'll tell them we are the government. Without us no them. |
Well, judging from the adverts on Nairaland, I can say that Nairaland is worth N3.6million and that Seun Osewa probably makes N1.8million annually |
lionet:Nice suggestion. Thanks. |

When last did you check your SPAM folder in your email? Maybe not too long ago, ọkwa ya? Most people nwe the sense to always check the spam folder. Mana if I ask you the last time you checked the "View Message Requests" folder in your Facebook, you might be confused. That's the folder where messages from people who are not yet your friends on Facebook land. You might be shocked to find messages from your Facebook crush, future lover or potential customer hiding there. Go and check your "View Message Requests" folder ozugbo ozugbo. You can thank me with one keg of fresh nkwu-ọcha later. Lol.

This is a nice intelligent counter-article and response to the other intelligent article. |

iyoha240:There is o! Especially from selling the N400, N500, N750, N1,000 and N1,500 cards. Its true that students will mostly buy the N100 and N200 cards but data subscription will make them buy the N1,000 at least once in two weeks. Always carry your cards in a small bag. Don't ever be ashamed to be known as the recharge-card-seller in your compound, faculty and department. And if you use any of the cards yourself, make sure you pay for it as if you're buying it from someone else. |
I have about N250,000. I'm confused on whether to open a s*e*x to*ys shop (alongside ladies' lingerie and cosmetics) in Onitsha or to go into palm oil farming in my village in Enugu. I'm also considering a phone sales shop too. Which of these businesses will be most profitable? Please advice me. |
Recharge Card business. I started selling recharge cards on my street with that same amount. Just try to avoid selling on credit to students or else your business will crash quickly. |
iykepromotions:Thank you sir. I know you're into sales of domain names. Please let's connect on facebook www.facebook.com/johnrock44 I have 60 brandable unregistered and available domain names I can sell to you for $60 (wholesale price) |
funmijoyb:Speak for yourself dear. Or have you changed your name from Funmi to "Nobody"? |
calyb247:Good idea. But is starting a business on credit sales advisable? |
samblessed:Nice idea. Thanks |
enolife:Perishables? Plus long distance transportation? Thanks. |
Check the domain on WhoIs.com to verify if I'm really the owner of the domain name. |
I'm not interested in all these networking businesses like Edmark, Forever Living Products etc. I need real practical businesses I can do from home. Thanks. |
I have N200,000 to start a business. I've tried searching for a shop in Ikotun but the agent has been showing me shops located in very dull areas. So now, I'm thinking of starting a business I can run from home. I'm considering going into distribution of sanitary pads and baby diapers. But I would really appreciate more suggestions. Please suggest more businesses I can run from my home here in Lagos. |
Updated thread July 2021 BEWARE OF FACEBOOK, WHATSAPP AND TELEGRAM ACCOUNT HACKERS! Phone ringing... Me: Hello. Good afternoon. Him: Hello! Is this John Rock? Me: Yes. Who is this please? Him: I'm Pastor (I couldn't hear the name clearly) from Just Nigeria Group on Telegram. Me: Okay Him: I love your intelligent contributions on the group. We will be organising an online meeting by 6:30pm and will like you to be part of it. Me: Okay. Thank you sir. I'm not sure I will be available by that time but I will try. Him: No problem. We will send a code to your phone so that you can use it to join the online meeting whenever you're available. So that even if you can't join us at 6:30pm, you will have access to the discussion with the code we will send you. Me: Really? Okay sir. Him: Your code will be sent to you now. I will call you back soon. God bless you. Drops call. Phone rings again after about 1 minute. Me: Hello Him: John Rock, we have sent you your code. Please minimize this call and read it out to me. My brother, I also participated and recieved the mail too. I was trying to verify the whole thing before I saw this your post. I'm really skeptical about this Nigerian Empowerment Contest thing. My sister got a laptop recently from Sure-P and she told me she didn't pay one kobo to anybody. Why are they charging us N7,500? Why? Then the way they displayed our names on their site, the general public will believe we've all already won the mini-laptops. My brother, this Nigerian Empowerment Contest and their Nigerian Empowerment Foundation is looking like fraud or 419 to me oh. It's very suspicious. |
