I was accepted for spring semester and I also got my i20, but due to some reason I had to defer to fall. am kinda confused wen I got this mail from them because they didn't mention it the other time

That's a decision they can't compromise for you unless you have the requirements which is expected of you and to be submitted before May 6.

Look into other schools and make sure you have the requirements before applying.

When I see questions like this, I wonder about several things and it's funny to me in the long run. You applied to a school, paid the app fee, exhaustedyour airtime to ensure your profs sent in your LOR in time... and you come here to ask if it's a red flag on the last process. You definitely should know better!
To answer your question, MSU isn't a red flag to the best of my knowledge but always put in a little work to avoid a waste of everyone's time on questions like that.

What about those who intend studying an undergraduate course. Please, someone should help with SAT material. I have GRE material, can it also b use for sat?.

The decision to study medicine in the USA is due to incessant ASUU strike, though, I have a degree of MLS in Nigeria and intend to study medicine in the USA.
Some pls urgent answer

Like someone said earlier, you only need the SAT to get into an undergraduate program. My little advice for you is-since you have a bachelors degree already in MLS, going for another bachelors won't fly when you present your case to the VO. My 2 cents is that check schools that can accept you in their Ms Biology program (I believe with your MLS degree, you should have certain prerequisites) after the Masters program, you can then take MCAT if you're keen about going to Med School and yes from there, you'd be on the part of becoming a MD.

I'm trying to book visa appointment, pls if i for instance book 21st May and an earlier date becomes available later on, can i reschedule to the earlier date without having to pay again?

To the best of my knowledge, you can reschedule for FREE for just ONCE.

Just pay for another visa appointment. The SEVIS fee is valid for a year.

Overall, I see you at a disadvantage but nothing is impossible: The English class and the switch to MPH from Political Science. To some degree, I am of the belief that the VO might ask you during the interview if you're a MD or a healthcare worker. Since you've scheduled your visa appointment, just prepare enough and be able to defend why you're taking the switch. Also, what that school has to offer.

Hello, from your note, it's obvious your got a CONDITIONAL admission. No one can predict your chances but it's not a good thing if it is stated on your I-20 that you'd be taking ESL classes. Which school is that bro?

It's not too early to apply for visa. Also, your company can sponsor you, it's completely doable. If it's a legit process, then you have no reason to be worried. I only hope the degree you're going for is directly related to your duties at your company. You should be fine if everything is positive and you can defend your case convincingly.

Did you apply to only top 20 universities?
Did you get a/an supervisor/advisor before you submitted your applications?
Any publications at all? What's your class ranking?
Did you do the TOEFL to compensate for the low GRE verbal score?
Apparently, you don't have a Masters degree and your application is likely to contend with applicants who have masters degree and also stellar GRE scores, that's another view though.
What's your research interest and how did you present them to potential supervisors or graduate coordinators?
How strong is your SOP and LORs? Did your references turn those letters in as at when due?

My two cents is that you should apply for a chemistry program and make sure you ask for space before you throw your money away.

Also, Texas A&M University Kingsville (TAMUK) is likely to waive Out-of-state tuition for you. Check their Chemical Engineering program out.

For chemistry, it's late but NOT too late. It's late if you're considering financial assistance (but not impossible)and it's not too late because some schools will still need to fill up their classrooms. From the little I know, oyinbo no too dey enrol for chemistry.

So, I'd advise you to use Google at this juncture to know which school's application is open. Also, I'll like to know if you've done the GRE and the TOEFL.

I know GRE results are valid for 5 years. GMAT isn't essential unless you're going for a business degree, I don't know how valid their results are.

I don’t think I can send the complete work, the application specifically said 5-10 pages for the writing sample and my project is about 170 pages.

Moreover the intending chapter is self-explanatory.

I suggest you elaborate your thesis ABSTRACT. The summary of your project work but try to discuss few points in it further.

It's a 50% chance. If your sibling is still legal in the US, and you can explain a bit about him/her, you're good to go.

To the best of my limited knowledge, you won't be able to use the old receipt for the new interview cos the SEVIS ID have changed. Go to fmjfee.com and update your profile by switching the SEVIS ID to the new one. I believe you'll get to print a new receipt that way.

I finished in 2016 and i was posted to the ministry of health, after service i stayed on to volunteer. Here i worked at a unit in pharmacy thats in charge of free drugs distribution in , logistics and health supply chain. Hence the conc in public health. I have a very good ielts result,no i have not paid for visa .i was told after i get my i20, i will pay a sevis fee before anything

Good. Send an email to the school tomorrow and ask if a soft copy of ur I-20 could be sent to you, for you to be able to pay SEVIS fee and visa fee.

The first page is all you need and No! Your parents/ guardian doesn't need to sign it except if you're under 18. The information is explicit enough.

Oh yes, the school is western illinios university. I am expecting my i20 this week,
Classes are supposed to start August 20. My first issue is 1) i didnt write gre cos it is not required , i dont know if it will be a problem
2) i applied to 2 schools new york university accelerated second degree in nursing but they didnt give me admission and western illinois uni for msc in health sci conc. in public health, hope the vo wont question the disparities in the program
3) will i still be able to get interview date and meet up with resumption

1. Doing the GRE makes your profile look good to the VO, it depicts that you're ready for graduate studies but if it'll affect your visa chance, it's based on the VO's discretion.
If you've paid for the visa, you can log into the CGI portal and book an earlier date before 10th August preferably (if you're certain that your I-20 will arrive before the end of this week)
2. I don't know what disparities you are talking about but you can apply to different programs in different schools. In your case, what the VO want to know is if your undergraduate degree is related to what you want to go study in the graduate school. "Did you do an undergraduate course that is related to Health Science"? If YES, you don't have anything to be worried about. If NO, have a reason for the switch to Health Science.
3. You can get an earlier date if you give the website a close monitoring. A date between 6-10 August WILL open for a slot or two.

I do have friends who got approved after several refusal of the Canadian visa.
Also, you sound like you don't know more about this school you're going to, the school is Western Illinois University and not University of Western Illinois... I don't think there's such school in Illinois.
Sincerely, I don't see what issues you've got but to prepare fine for your interview and be favoured.

Im not the OP but I can answer some of your questions. Both professions are compensated well. In fact most medical professions are compensated well here. But there are some differences. Nursing is more physically demanding and you will spend more hands on time with patients. Pharmacy here is mostly fulfilling and dispensing medications. There is hardly direct patient contact. Pharmacists require more education and passing of rigourous exams than nursing.
